Man! Whenever Truman (our bulldog) even sees me with the clippers I have to chase his around the freaking house! It's a horrible experience for both of us :( Your baby does so well!!!
@19meranda Dont chase him. show him the clippers (if you use a clicker, immediately click) and give a treat, something *awesome* like cheese or hot dogs or cooked chicken. show clippers, treat. again. bring clippers nearer, treat. again. barely touch him with clippers, treat treat treat. treat treat treat. work up VERY slowly to him thinking OMG clippers = treats! then when hes finally comfortable, slowly trim and always be stuffing treats in his face. soon he will love nail trim day!
@RoxClymer we usually trim their nails every 2-3 weeks. we use the regular nail clipper first before using the grinder. because the clipper leaves the nails w/ sharp edges so we use the grinder to smooth them out. i find that it takes longer time if i use the grinder alone n Justice gets impatience so i clip first then grind just the sharp edges :)

You must have trained justice at a very early age to clip his nails. so well behaved. He dosen't seem afraid of your nail grinder.

how often do you trim his nails with the grinder, i tried that with my lab and it never really worked?
