  • best buy attempted to scam me, by telling me that the aging dell laptop on display was a high end gaming rig with hdmi. well, turns out they messed with the wrong guy. here are specs: 2ghz core2 duo, integrated nvidia gpu, 1gb ram, windows vista, and no hdmi. shattered the guy's impression he was trying to make, followed up by a rude conversation with the store manager when i called and hung up on me THREE times. not to mention games from 2005 are still full price.

  • Hahaha, listen to this retard...

  • Best Buy gets scammed all the time by people trying to pull what you did you really need to take this shit up with the manufacture

  • never buy from best buy. best to buy from newegg or walmart

  • This guy looks like a methhead !! QQ'in over your router! what voided your warranty? you spill something? you just sound like a retard, walmart should be close by for you, btw they wouldnt keep your product you paid for, thats just a insaine acusation, retard!

  • Omg they did you very wrong now I got a problem with there customer service

  • Use yellow pages (including the online one) for computers/electronics.

And walk into BestBuy as little as possible.

  • I've heard of top sales people at BB getting laid off from a friend of a friend.

  • you suk cock bro

  • I have to agree that alot of these bestbuys have the overnight shiftr and usually thats when most of the theft is going on cuz the security guy is a drinking or smoking buddy of a associate and there us usually a hush hush.

The guys on the GTA III box cover look just the the guys who worked at my bestbuy and they pulled some shady stuff their.

Hell i even baught a raptor drive from best buy and opended the box just as i left to see if it was legit and i found an old 6 gig drive so i got screw

  • is this x-men the movie?

  • @kinkadius1

    I Think It's The PreQuel !

  • boo hoo

  • Best Buy has security camera's and security personnel that watch the store whenever anyone is in the building, even if it's just associates so these things don't happen. If it came out of a D-Link box then that's something you would have to take up with D-Link. Best Buy's just doing what they are told.

  • screw best buy seriously they are a bunch of crap.

  • Better Business Bereu.. Call Them Now !

  • yeah fuck best buy, they are demons

  • I require all my associates to open the packages when someone returns an item, and you would be suprised what people put in box's, and how perfect it can look, shrink wrapping isn't hard. Best buy NEEDS to make this right.

  • take it higher up, you need to call bestbuy and complain, just be calm let them know what happened, I purchased a expensive $400 set of pots from macy's, there was a stack of them and i picked the most perfect sealed box, opened it up and it was someone's used pots and pans, of course i was nervous they would think it was me, but they we're cool about it and gave me a new set. I work retail, people are good about resealing packages and making it look, I'm an ASM for A retail company...

  • will never buy from best buy ever again they scam me on a defective item the only company who charges a 15 % restocking fee on a clearly defective sony camcorder avoid these scamers i lost $75 dollars because they sold me a defective camcorder

  • circuit city is even worse

  • thats just like getting a PS3 game in a XBOX case.. DOESNT HAPPEN

  • This post, and others like it, are just plain sad. I have returned many things to Best Buy and have NEVER had an issue. Even the wrong product being in the box....it was an ink cartridge...wrong one was in a perfectly sealed box. Can't fault Best Buy for that....they don't build the merchandise and package it....its shipped to them.

  • its the employees not just the company 99% of all problems from best buy are not possibly an error in manufacturing. My router box was made by D-link and the router was a linksys so your argument is null

  • @DoomedJedi LOL Nice statistics...where'd you pull those from? Do you think Best Buy employees just keep extra boxes from various vendors lying around....to put random merchandise in? Seriously? Rethink your argument before telling me my point is null. Also, most retailers (Best Buy and Wal-Mart included) have high standards when it comes to inventory accuracy....that would include your situation....if you are trying to blame it on an employee.

  • Dude you really are slow the employees are the ones stealing by putting their old products from home in the empty box and re-wrapping it..All you then have to do is act like you are tossing garbage or sneak it out some other way inventory is only valid if a box is missing dumb dumb

  • you are saying "link-system" when you mean to say linksys

  • Tried returning a desktop years ago during the "14-day no questions asked return" days. Brought it in on day 13. They told me it was over 14 days a few times after looking at the receipt which showed 13 days. I had to make a scene ( I got really loud ) and yelled out for a 'manager with simple math skills so as I can return a product'. He ended up asking Why I wanted to return it after doing the math. I just pointed up at the sign that said No Questions Asked.

    They finally took it.

  • Totally agree, when I go to best buy and just check out their laptops...i see costumers talking with the uneducated high school students about warranty...and I am next to them thinking. You dumb folks...no matter what that high school drop out tells you about the warranty its not true..and what matters what you sign, the paper idiot costumers never read. But best buy is scam,a big one. They advertise tv's with certain features, the manufacter doesn't mention it has... Be aware of best buy indeed!

  • Also, the company named Shari Ballard, 41, to oversee its 872 U.S. stores. Ballard joined Best Buy in 1993 as an assistant store manager. She reports to Dunn.

Kal Patel will head the emerging business unit, which had been led by Jackson. Patel will oversee Best Buy's growth and innovation efforts. He reports to Dunn.

  • Tim McGeehan, 40, will oversee Best Buy Mobile, a joint venture with Carphone Warehouse Group Plc, Europe's largest wireless retailer. McGeehan had been in charge of retail sales. In the new role, he'll oversee the expansion of Best Buy Mobile across North America and internationally. He'll report to Robert Willett, head of Best Buy International.

  • Dunn joined Best Buy in 1985. Anderson joined the company as a stereo salesman in 1973.

The chain also named a new head of mobile phone sales and a new chief of its U.S. stores.

  • This is another step solidifying Brian Dunn as the next CEO," said Colin McGranahan, an analyst with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. "This just sounds like a logical step in succession planning."

  • Anderson, 58, shuffled management a week after reporting an unexpected rise in profit on computer and international sales. He is the 41-year-old company's second chief executive, succeeding founder Richard Schulze in the post in 2002

Best Buy Co., the Richfield-based electronics retailer, has named Chief Financial Officer Darren Jackson to head a new division that oversees product sales.

Jackson, 42, will report to President and Chief Operating Officer Brian Dunn, which some see as further securing Dunn's position as the likely successor to CEO Brad Anderson. Jackson had reported to the CEO.

  • Bought $1200 50 inch PLASMA HDTV 96 days ago. They won't exchange the TV. Picture went totally black while watching it normally. Geek "SQUAD" (actually one guy named Freddy) said he would need to "locate" parts for it and repair in my home-cant take back to store.

BEST BUY SELLS DEFECTIVE TV's and then refuses to exchange them and makes you adhere to their repair person's schedule not when its convenient for you!

    Best Buy (WORST BUY!)
