  • Okay, so either google/youtube is doing a scary job of monitoring my PC or we're just this popular. I was itching to hear this song and didn't expect to find a video of myself being a performer of it!

  • We're playing this in our concert on Wednesday.

But, we're all 12-13 year olds, so it doesn't sound this good.

Especially because we only have 7 people on the 1st trumpet part, which, is one of the main things you hear, at the high parts.

And, two of the people don't even try to hit the higher notes. [x

    So, ahah.

  • WAIT I KNOW THE PROBLEM! needs more tuba

  • ooohhhh sry i looked at the wrong time...lol i play the clarinet too and trumpet to for this song trumet its krazy. XD and sry aobut before

  • haha. middle school longhorn music camp band 1 played this song. im a trumpet. i loved it.

  • i like the song we played it for our cadet band and it 2.39 its not the clarnits its the flute

  • Not it's not

I see the flutes put it to rest right there

Plus, I know that clarinet sound, I play it

  • This song is awesome

Yall must be playing a different version, it's prettier.

I like the clarinet part from 2:39 to 2:41

    Very pretty trio too.

  • thats a very strange arrangement, i play this now and it sounds different in the middle, then again u have no horns so yea good job

  • WONDERFUL, This song was on the movie "MIDWAY"

one of the best WW II movies ever made, with an all-star cast, including Heston, Fonda, Holbrook, Ford. It also has up and coming stars, like Steve Kanaly (Dallas) and Erik

Estrada (CHiPS) Any high school or college band that can play it this good, bravo.

Our military bands are great at this.

    John Williams wrote great scores.

  • i am in the 7th grade whitehouse tx jr high band and i play trumpet

    this is really cool

i wanna be in the fightin texas aggie band one day

  • Hehe I played this piece at St. Lewis International Band Festival in grade 10, so about 3 years ago. However we had everything...

Bassoon, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, flute, piccolo, sax's, bass clarinets, various percussion, French Horns and Trumpets. I loved this piece so much.

  • Hey, where are the french horns at measure 65, by the way?

  • We don't have any.

  • ...Shoot. :P

Are trombones playing horn cues or something in the beginning, then?

  • very well done! almost as good as any Navy Band! a fitting tribute to the guys who won that crucial engagement in the Pacific, and turned the tide of WW2, America,s REAL Heroes, not pampered, overpriced professional jocks!

  • What grade level are you guys performing this in? Because I played this about the same time you did for a concert and it was in 7th grade (Second year for me). Anyways, good job. :)
