I work at Taco Bell and I can tell you there likely was a good reason why you waited an hour at the drive thru... whether it was an issue with the register or some douchebag in front of you ordering 59 items. Working drive thru, I sincerely feel crappy when people have to wait any longer than needed- but the staff's only human and the tech we use is prone to screwing up. Things happen and thanks for understanding.

I have never waited an entire hour, I waited 30 minutes at a McDonald's and the lady in front of me was screaming at the poor girl about how she didn't get the toy her kid wanted and that she had told here "no onions". When I to the till, the girl looked rattled and her name tag said "In Training". I told her she could slow down, take it easy as I was in no rush and told her she was doing a good job. :)

Well, if u think about it...its good to be nice to the employees of fast food restaurants (any restaurant rly) but fast food places especially. Be mean to them & they take the liberty to expectorate ur burger. Or worse, urinating in ur drink. Some ppl do have the nerve.

Honestly though, regardless of what's going on in there, I'd still tell them they're doing a crappy job. The story might be different if they'd actually apologized for the wait, but they just acted normal and uncaring, and I could even see them taking their sweet precious time in there...

@sammah1 It is, they expect you to server the customers while preparing prep for the next shift, filling out orders of low stock, cleaning the store and restocking condiments, cups, napkins etc. I have never lasted more than 5 months at a fast food place as I find a better job and quit. They promise raises that you never get and for some reason you'r benefits never kick in at three months like they claim...
