  • what kind of camera are you using????? it's amazing, I also love the bass and your bass playing, fantastic job!

  • Did I hear some Yes in there?

  • The older single coil tele basses absolutely kill the humbuckers.

  • nice intro...

  • O man, the sound at 2:45 is so fuckin beautiful, i would really love u if u would bring me the tabs!

  • I don't like the feel of short scale bass's for some reason

  • @MrDunkJunk That isn't from 1951, it's a reissue. Plus, it's his bass.

  • @bassharmonica1 -- "tug bar" as longboardersrule12 described.

  • whats the black thing next to the pickups?

  • @bassharmonica1 thats a finger rest u use it to help pull your thumb across the strings if you play with your thumb

  • y r u using a pick?

  • Wow, what a beauty that short scale! If you ever wanna sell it then just PM me ;)

  • awesome bass...where can i find this bass? i want to buyyyitt!

  • I really like the fender, I always thought this would make a really cool pickup combination. I am seriously thinking of making a custom bass like that, but I have some questions id like to ask. How does the bass sound with both pickups on? Is the volume output too different? Have you changed the pots, if yes to what values? Does the bridge cover fit with the badass bridge? Thanks. I promise to post a video reply when mine is ready :)

  • I really like the fender. I always thought this would make a cool pickup combination. I am seriously of a building a custom bass like this, but I would like to ask you a couple of questions since I am a little curious: A)Have you actually wired the bass so that you combine both pickups? If yes, can you describe this sound? B) Are the pickups really different in terms of volume output? C)Have you changed the pots if yes to what values?

  • dude, dump the fender, enjoy the japanese telecaster!

  • great review and great bass.

    Gustavo,

    The Doups

  • this guy looks like the bassist from muse

  • Wow! Trebly!!!

  • Both basses sound great but they look awefull and would be much more valuable with the original parts on it.

Off course a bad ass bridge is an improvement but I would never put it on a original Fender bass from that era.

  • a bunch of mis-matched vintage parts on a modern reissue instrument? 1975 tuners don't have magic properties. unless you're restoring a 1975 bass to increase its value, it's a waste of money.

  • @hyprmrt maybe he likes that changes?

  • @hyprmrt i disagree if he prefers the 1975 tuning pegs he should put them on it

  • first bass of fender was a orecision bass

cbs decided to reissue first precision bass but with the name of telecaster bass

  • Fender need to make a bass like this. The combination of a 51 Precision Bass and a 70s Telecaster Bass. That would be freaking awesome!

Imagine if they added a second single coil closer to the bridge too. Basically where the bridge pickup is on a Jazz Bass. That would give you so many tonal options, more than you would need really lol

  • what capasitor are you using?..Thanks

  • lose the pick show some fingerstyle

  • My Personal opinion on the way people call this a Telecaster is that, its not a Telecaster at all, infact its the first design of the Precision bass, its just that Leo Fender based the design of this bass on a Telecaster guitar at this time due to not many Fender Electrics compatible with sound, also because alot of rock musicians at the time who played bass wanted something light and could be held like a guitar, thats why this was made and as time went on the shape changed

  • is this a custom or an actual model

  • @weathered79 it says in the little box that it's a 1994 reissue. it's obviously been somewhat customized.

  • where would you rate te tone vs a "higher end" modern split coil p bass pick up??

  • i like more the sound of the japanese one!!!

  • fucking GREAT tone, where can I buy this?

  • i played that bass today at our lesson

  • damn those are badass an have great sounds man

  • beto one more does a badass bridge number three fit on an gibson eb-3 or do i need to get a badass bridge number 2

  • beto thanx for for tellin me wat song it was hey i wanna know wat a good pick up is i want it to sound like the gibson eb's or that fender price doesnt really matter

  • hi whats the tune he's playin at 2:56 and 0:16 i gotta know dudes help

  • you shred!

  • Outstanding review and editing!

  • I love your reviews, especially the editing. Two things though...it seems as though the audio is distorting a bit and masking the true sound of the bass. Also, could you play with you fingers for part of the review so we can hear what it sounds like? Thanks...I subscribed :)

  • i've always loved my p bass and i love all p basses this caught my eye a year ago but could get the chance to buy it and haven't seen it since then.

  • I want that bass so bad.

  • Dude, I love this bass so much...I really wish some brand/factory would produce a 24 frets version...I would sell my soul to buy it xD

PS: I can bet anything that this guy is Brazilian, I know that accent! xD

  • @DimmyAraujo He is

  • damn that sounds good!
