You can get a cherry bomb remap of your engine, gives you an extra 10hp only about £20. I have a K&N air filter on mine, makes a lovely sound! You have yours looking well! Mine is getting serviced at the minute due to a possible new spark plug being refitted! Does anyone know the symptoms when you need a new spark plug?
@NosBlaster with a twist throttle if you jump and land with your wrist on the throttle and its twisted you cant realy let it go cause your falling over the bars and it very dangerous...i saw a video on youtube about that and the guy hit a wall...if i could find it id send it to ya but ive looked many times and cant find it

if you can draw the cash for a polaris do it, i know im gonna get bashed for saying this but the outlaw 450's are monsters, faster then yfz's and you can back them with a 5 year warranty, it might cost a lot up front in the long run your better off with that warranty.

Correction. sand addiction recently tested all of the new 450's including the new yfz and they put them on the dyno to. here are the numbers. yfz=39hp kfx=36hp trx=36hp ltr=38hp ktm=46 hp. keep in mind though for 39.99 you can get a cherry bomb for the ltr. if you remove the airbox lid and the baffle the suzuki ltr will have 45 hp. It has been dyno proven
yeah that was a good idea by Suzuki and Yoshimura to do that. Almost everyone has the bomb that has a zuk 450. Thats the wonder of EFI. Same with the Power Commander. Simple plug ins.
@KartMan250 no no no you didnt get that right...you need to get an exhaust, a power lid a after market air filter and that cherry bomb to get around 7hp...7hp in a quad is alot!!! it makes a huge difference

KTM's are the kings thats for sure. I have seen them smoke modded LTR's and YFZ's stock at the tracks. I would have bought one but I dont have like, what, 9 G's. I went with an 08 LTR.
They are nice but suzuki is king! until ktm wins a pro mx national championship they are not king. yoshimura/suzuki and dustin wimmer are a deadly threesome.
Right now KTm is best with suzuki in 2nd. But yamaha has a yfz450r coming out which it is going to be their bx virson of the yfz450 except that it still uses the 20" trail tires still. Between the yfz450r and ltr450 the yfz450 might endup up better. It comes out in november.
...ya i think they might have more top end...but as far as power all the way from bottom end to top end i still think the ltr 500 would own. see ltr's are also 20 years old and this is a far as we have come...kinda sad...but watcan you do when you got the tree huggers breathin down your neck...i think somone needs to make an efi adapter for my quadzilla.
When you get on the gas it kinda go bba and bogs down then gos faster

anyway ur best bet is the yfz or check out the ktm but its a lil expensive.
the ltr aint bad but the efi mapping has some quirks like the older yfz's
the kawi is new so idk much about it but ive heard about some problems.
