That's because it is, Gourry was voiced by Eric Stuart, the guy who voiced both Brock and Kaiba, also if u watch the rest of the series dubbed, you will definitely recognize a bunch of other voice actors from Yu-Gi-Oh! and maybe Pokemon,

I find it very humorous that this shot is a huge reminder to me of Pokemon.

Amelia is played by Veronica Taylor who played as Ash Ketchum (imagine him doing what she is).

Goury is played by Eric Stuart who played as Brock (Trying to look responsible. Lol)

Then Lina Inverse herself is played by Lisa Ortiz, the voice of Misty.

This anime looks pretty old, but that's a good thing! New anime are good but NOT as epic and unique as these! In fact, almost of my fav animes are older than 2000, Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, Tenchi Muyo, Maison Ikkoku, Urusei Yatsura, Magic Knight Rayearth, Sailor Moon and so on. Probably my fav anime newer than that would be Full Moon Wo Sagashite and Tokyo Mew Mew which are both 2002. I'm looking forward to this anime!

@Dstorm20xx Actually it was dubbed by a company called Central Park Media over 15 years ago, but Funi picked up Home Video rights not too long ago and kept the dub the same. But Funi did make the dub for the last 2 seasons recently using the original voice cast. Though the 5 movies ad 2 OVAs were actually dubbed by ADV Films using different voices.

Haha, I'm not saying ALL knew anime's are like that. I love Vampire, Code Geass, Elfin Lied, and One Piece. But it seems like many animes that are new are either extremely serious or utterly comedic. There's like, no balance between comedy and serious scenes anymore. x.X

I agree. Classics like 'Slayers' are overlooked. If someone mentions their favorite anime or compares one anime to another I notice they mention 'Naruto' or 'Death Note' or 'Bleach. Not saying those animes suck, but there are hundreds of others to compare something to.
