  • Sister`srules!!!

  • we call it shit in what used to be the USA. but yea, me too. U2 used to be really good way back when. now, they are just madonna crusaders for crap.

    mission uk...always good.

and, u2 and bono are all not just pricks, but let me put it this way, they are self righteous leeching age and no wisdom fucking shit in a trashcan.

sorry. i hate them. need to rename...ME2. asshole fucking loser pricks. i hate sell outs.

  • where the fuck did you get the footage????.is this the nephilim gig?

  • 1. Wayne fucking WROTE "Marian" if he wants to reuse HIS OWN guitar riff he can!! fuck off.

    2. Von didnt even write hardly any of the music on FALAA. and no, lyrics dont count as music.

    3. i love the Sisters, but dont disrespect The Mish when Von himself never has.

    4. time for the youth to reclaim true goth from mallbrats and murder pop music again! revolution!

thumb this shit up u kno its true!

  • U2 r not gothic nor were they ever gothic. they were a christian post-punk band. now theyre jst old christians. Mission were a Gothic band period. no argument. and they did change their sound once, what u nvr heard "Masque"? lol

  • I like the early postpunk'ish U2, during the 70s and 80s. While I agree they pretty much suck now, they were pretty good back then. I stopped liking them after Achtung Baby.

  • Thanks MrChumpus, I'm not really clear on my memories at the time but I sure loved that free show.

  • Went up to what I seem to remember as the Palladium in the early 90's to see a free KROQ show, then the band broke up and the night show was cancelled, does that seem right? Been a long time, my memory may be way off.....

  • @jmsagro

The free show was at the Palace. It was one of Kroq's free noontime concerts, and it was definitely in the afternoon. My friend and I went back to the evening show, got there early, and witnessed Craig Adams storming off down Vine St on foot! We figured there would be no show, but the guitar tech stepped in and stayed in the shadows, and the show went on. Many people didnt even realize the shake-up

  • Because U2 are a solid band with sold musicians...apparently you've never played an instrument or written a song in your entire life, douche.

  • doesn't Wayne Hussey look old now !

  • @rupertducker

    Are You kidding me/us - ??

Such a stupid question deserves no answer ... oooooops I did it

  • memories.sad memories but good memories,

  • brings me back to my youth..playing this and 1969 full blast to piss the neighbours off

  • @todorovsknee Likewise. =)

  • my teens

  • andrew eldritch always the best :P

  • @Couper44 innit !!

  • KINGS...really great hypnotic atmosphere! ..one of the best band in the 90s ..of course Sister of Mercy Rocks..but this band is really amazing!

  • i love the mission. and i respect their decision to stick to their sound.. its a difficult thing to decide on but they did. and i totally admire them and respect them for it.. new wave.. the music i grew up in.. and the music i still have been living in..

  • U2's music has evolved. it is not to say that they betrayed what they believed in, or what they stood for.. fact is, they are still there for everything that they believed in.. the difference is that, they had to evolve.. their music had to evolve.. yes they may sound different to what new wave used to sound.. its something i dislike.. dont get me wrong. but i had to accept the fact that they decided to move on rather than remain as dinosaurs to the music industry.

i am a fan of new wave.

  • U2 betrayed the music they once stood for.

The mission stayed close to the roots of the New Wave! ^^

  • @FrightfulAccountant Damm RIGHT

  • Heaven' sent!!! OMG so beautiful!

  • Not sure about that drummer...(drumming style).

  • U2 rules. This band is ok. Sounds like every other band coming out of england at the time. depressing with a heavy bass thump.zzzzzzzzzzzz

  • la verda es que despues de los sisters, la mission es algo que va a quedar por siempre .... gracias ..

  • bin ein grosser fan, schade dass es nicht mehr davon gibt

  • Would like to see Wayne and Mr. Eldritch kick it again - much love from Dallas.

  • me too.

  • Wayne is living in my hometown in brazil!!!!!!!his wife is incredible beautiful!!!!!!

  • que cidade vc mora?

  • KIRÁLY ZENE!!!

  • u guys rock!!!

  • Great song

  • Nagyon fasza muzsika.örök kedvenc

  • God they did a comeback?

How awful must THAT audience have looked? Lots of bald goths and fat mums lol

  • You might not believe it, but there is infact new influx of new young goths, and I'm not talking about mallgoth Marilyn Manson worshippers.

  • Please stop stealing from marian.

  • Wayne Hussey's look is great w/ short hair and w/out make up & hut!

  • I couldn't agree more, Bono & U2 are total shite and I'll never understand why people still love them so much, especially in Ireland, where I live. If we wanna talk abt a great Irish band, let's talk abt Thin Lizzy, U2 is nothing compared to Lizzy! Anyway, The Mission still rocks, they're -were, SOB-one of the greatest bands in the UK.

  • @Prizak1 It's good to read what you're saying. U2 isn't even a rock n' roll band.

  • Nice.....Music....great...

  • G8 version of wasteland, hurry up & reform the mighty mish!!!!!!

  • is that bono from u2

  • i love bono and u2 - this man is cooler !!!

  • Bono is a prick. his music is average shit.

  • @JesusChristisfake Yeah, mediocre innit !

  • huge song,the best

  • Everyone forgets Wayne being the guitarist from Dead Or Alive though , funny that

  • The missiom é uma otima banda eu adoro.

  • Que rolon¡¡¡¡¡ que grupazazo ¡¡¡ que voz de

    Wayne¡¡¡

  • This song reminds me of the Simple Minds in some way.

  • How???

  • Basicly his voice.

Also, this song reminds me of "Waterfront" from the Simple Minds.

  • I saw them live on this tour on Nottingham!!! Wayne rules!!! Forever!

  • just dug out gods own medicine forgot how much i enjoyed this music still sounds great after all this time

  • Just done the same, next is The sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus!!

  • It was in 1986 when i first heard wasteland. I remember my sony walkman listening to this song several times. The best music for me was in the 80's. One of the best bands like Ten Ten, The name, The mission, The chameleons, The church etc...

  • To see some great footage you tube Wayne Hussy on the James Whale show. Pure comedy.

  • The sisters and the mission were fantastic back in the day.

  • bring bk the real mission the bass line is the only original member apart from wayne hussey

  • The waste land is the UK.

  • at andrewcraigrobinson1:

    Fail.

  • Such a great song ...

  • Wayne Hussey's wearing a pair of Jed Phoenix of London strap trousers (pinstripe with purple satin lining, if memory serves) that he bought at Dark City in Edinburgh in 2004

  • who f-ing cares

  • I'm taking notes here..

  • Huge success.. If only it were, we wouldnt have Industrial in our clubs if it were a success.

  • That's great!

  • Ha! Tell me who could? Andrew changes band members like dirty socks.

  • Concur. A few songs were nice but they aren't anything what TSOM was and could have been. Clashing egos: what a drag.

  • Good band.

  • Yeah I saw the mission earlier this year. They were ok until they bought on an old member of the band. A case of two many cooks! - The concert went downhill and descended into a bloody mess. Think the mish have had their day myself.Dont get me wrong Ive seen them a lot of times but they dont have the energy anymore.

  • Ebow

  • in cologne

  • Does anyone know where this was filmed?
