Start at the 2:11 mark. You'll see the purple/white light (including the very distinct noise) flash on Kate. A HUGE early set-up to the release or surge of electromagnetic energy that resulted from Desmond's triggering of the Swan station's fail-safe system AND all of the time traveling.

@springfairy556 the island is filled with electromagnetism. one of the pockets leaked and started to expand. the wave on magnetism pulled the plane down and apart right after being contained with a push of a button

I don't know why I'm watching this 2 1/2 weeks before I'm flying from Florida to Rhode Island for vacation, especially since I'm paranoid about my plane crashing and or being hi-jacked, I'm scared to death of flying.
