I don't know if it's the same for the Canon 5D, but my wife's EOS Rebel can use her old Canon 35mm lenses.

What about cameras that you can get a lense adapter for so you can use professional 35MM lenses on it? Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for your pov because I was debating whether I should go with a Nikon D5000 or go with the Canon 5D. It will be in a few year but at least I'll know what I should purchase.
