@Asahamana You are right. This was the last monumental game of westwood. Look at v=rBl7Fb8H6I8 . Tiberian Sun could be also a big game but ea fired a lot of westwood member so real C&C feeling has gone. But redalert2 and tiberium wasr are not so bad but not monumental like the old ones.

Yes, but they originally planned to have Soviet ending as an introduction to the first C&C (as seopeter22 said) and a connection between RA and Tiberium universes.

So, they'd made the first Red Alert a prequel to C&C1, but later abandoned the idea - RA2 was born and now C&C2 and C&C3 doesn't contain any references to the Red Alert universe.
