this is the only decent song on this album and it doesnt do anything different up till about 3 minutes in. bless the martyr is the only good NJ album. fact? nah. coreys vocals suck and the songs all blend together now. have I tired other NJ? sure have. did I like it? suuuure didnt.

This guy has some good taste in music. Its too bad the rest of you listen to bullshit like Norma Jean (post Bless the Martyr) and the Devil Wears Prada. If you listen to Botch's We Are the Romans album and don't see what rip-off artists Norma Jean are, or listen to Converge's.....well anything, and don't realize what hacks NJ is, then you need to take some lessons on music.

@JayJayGR85 all that "old school" talk . as if converge and botch fell from the moon. they evolved from other music, sure, norma jean were a lot like botch back then on martyr, but i loved that record cause it also had something new in it among hundred other hardcore bands simply doing the same shit over and over. i love botch and converge and im telling you that this record (o god) is masterpiece not a rip off. its just some fresh air. evolution at its best.. if only they continued this way..

That this album is a fucking BLATANT ripoff of "We Are the Romans", from the tone and style of the guitars, to the vocals, to the general production value, it is wall to wall hack bullshit. Maybe they should pray for an original thought. See if their god can lend a hand.

Botch does a little bit, but just because they have SIMILAR music styles doesn't mean the guys at Norma Jean were all like "Oh look here, Botch's album was pretty kick ass, let's steal their music style and get fucking rich."

And did you even look at their last 3 albums? Who did they rip-off for Redeemer, The Anti-Mother, and Meridonal?

@JoeLuisGarcia And lets just get something straight, your are correct, Converge and Botch don't sound like Norma Jean. It is in fact the other way around. Because Botch's We Are the Romans came out 5 years before this record, and Converge has been around for 20 years, it is NJ who sounds like them. Originality counts for a lot in music and to achieve this they must get their first. Do some research and learn some history of this genre you claim to love and know so much about.

@JayJayGR85 Converge is my favorite band of all time (I have Jane Doe tattooed on my arm).. Botch is in all time top 10 and I can tell you right now Norma Jean is their own band with their own sound and it's, for the most part, some damn good stuff. I have a hard time understanding all the flak these guys receive..Can't help but think maybe it's their association with Josh Scogin and The Chariot? All preconceptions aside and open minds wide I don't see how any hardcore/metal fan can dislike them

@krat876 I happen to dig all of those bands, but eveyone has their own taste in music. There are some good metalcore bands with melody as well, like As Hope Dies and Glass Casket, I just named the bands with a more unpolished sound.
