I don't see hyperinflation coming in the immediate future. Look out for rising inflation as an indicator. If interest rates rise then the government won't be able to borrow without monetizing the debt. Currently the euro is so bad that investors are still buying US bonds for now. The precious metals are very expensive and unpredictable but the long term trend is up up and away.
I too am planning to expatriate to Mexico. I currently live in the US. Another problem with what is happening in the US is causing people to look into how to get the most from their retirement savings. Right now the US is too expensive and will be more expensive because of the declining dollar due to inflation and for sure increasing taxation. Taxes will continue to increase as the government tries for its last gasp of survival.
