I believe there is a lot more to Jacqueline than what I or anyone else is seeing. I will upload a video on March 19. Harsh criticism is welcome; maybe I will learn something. I know what I want out of the instrument. I do not think, however, music theory will ever change that.

She's a concentrated hard working musician. The buisness has lots of room for people like this. You can skip all the frivolities. She takes care of that in the way she pays attention to detail in dress. I saw Joe Bonnamassa when he was twelve. When the announcer said, "And now, we're going to have this young man come up and play it was a little bit unbelievable to see this tiny person and child's voice come over the PA. He just did Royal Albert Hall. Ms. Mannering has the same capacity.

I didn't want to sacrifice my nails either. Then I felt and heard what happens when you don't...in the long run it's better. I'm not saying I'm a better or worse player than she is. I'm just saying she's crippling herself by not cutting those darned nails! You have to clip them far enough back that they don't tap on the fretboard when you hammer on(oh heck just fret even) and don't snag the strings when you pull off.
Till those nails are clipped she's patting on and lifting off.

As it turns out, her sweep picking is shit, so she's obviously going to get some criticism. You are a fan, i am a critic. If you read enough of her comments you will see it's basically beginners and intermediates who praise her, and then there are those who can actually play who know she is full of shit.

@oceano901 Some (very few) guitarists can play for 10 years and be brilliant, others (the vast majority) can play for 30 years and still be shit. jacquiline has probably been playing 10 years or less and is kind of sort of ok. If you think she's great, you are obviously not as "good" as her which places you clearly in category 2. Having been a lead guitar teacher for over 20 years i can tell you that if you haven't got to a high level in 10 years, it's highly likely you never will. Sad but true

It is absolutely literally and in every way impossible for your friends to be at my level after 2 years of playing. For you to even say so is incredibly naive. If you've "mastered sweep technique", then you wouldn't look up to jacqueline, you would see that her sweep technique along with much of her playing is shit. In years to come, if you get to a higher level, you'll eventually understand

I like Hendrix and respect how he reinvented guitar playing, but he is far from the best. There is more to being a great guitarist than influence. For being self taught he was a great player, buy he was simply a blues player. He couldn't play much more than that. Had he not died he would be great today but he is hyped up because he died in his prime.
