What a devastating time for individuals with developmental disabilities in Rhode Island. How can Governor Chafee look at himself in the mirror after passing roughly a 13% cut effective July 1, 2011 to these Human Service Agencies? And, how could the House of Representatives pass a second 11% reduction effective October 1st 2011? 3 cuts within 3 months. How is this possible? Shameful, embarrassing and downright disrepectful manuever on the states behalf. If you VOTE you have a VOICE.
