Hi Bambiix2, I have to say your videos are so coherent. You sound like an articulate individual and I admire your strength and determinations.

I have said more than once, it is videos like yours which inspires me and although I’ve been natural from birth I have abused and manipulated my natural hair with... the blow dryer, hot combs- (I’m old skool )and my biggest sin of them all The Flat Iron.

I didn the big chop recently with the clippers and I had a really good turn out within a month I had grown 1inch of newly coiled hair, when I shampoo and condition it, I just rince it out and I try not to comb or brush it I just use my fingers, but as it gets longer how do I keep the coils?

Bambiix2, did you palm roll your hair when it was short and 2-strand twist as your hair grew? I have to use gel to get any curl definition. Curl smoothies do not work on this 4ZZZZZ hair. You r a natural beauty. Thanks for sharing.

@Nubian1007 - when I reached about 4 months natural ... i used cornrows for the front ... then in my 5th month I used twists and in my 6 month I did the plaits. Don't worry , i need gel to get and keep curl definition too.

@karmaJUNKEE - I transitioned for 3 months and I cut about 1/2 inch of my natural hair just to ensure I had no scab hair. So I started out my journey with 1" stretched. Don't be jealous, your hair may be longer than mine but just shrinks differently
