  • This takes me back heathcliff was one wild cat, mungo was my favourite completely dense, I noticed that Chuck Lorre writer of Big Bang theory was one of the writers of this no wonder it was a good show

  • This is on Netflix, and amazingly the logos and bumpers between commercial breaks are left intact.

  • Awesome show, one of my fave cartoon shows ever since i was 3 back in 84 and i had a crush on Cleo as it was her, M'ress from Star Trek animated and Cheetara that began my fascination for catgirls, she was a fox for a cat.

  • Didn't they make a movie though where Heathcliff and Riff Raff met? I remember something like that and of course neither liked each other at first?

  • love the intro song!

  • this always reminds me of that song from national lampoons family vacation , holiday rooooooooooaaaaaaaadddd

  • Anybody have the intro from RifRaff's half of the show? If I remember correctly it was the same song with some changes...started off "Cats and Company have fun..." if i recall.

  • Good audio compared to other YT ones ... thanx.

  • The thing that kept me watching this show as a kid was waiting for Heathcliff and Riff Raff to meet. Sadly they never did. Besides I always enjoyed the Catillac Cats segments better. RIP Mel Blanc.

  • @RyanofAndor The only Time Heathcliff and Riff-Raft are together is the ending credits, it's true there was never a cartoon with them together. i hear it had something to do with ownership of the Riff Raft character and they couldn't come to some agreement to have him on Heathcliff's show. so they did two cartoons one for each.

  • @Astraldragon1 They probably should've had 2 series and ran for an hour.

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! John K also did this too?! I can understand him creating Ren and Stimpy, but this is too bizzare of him! o.O

  • I can't get over how good the music is for these cartoons. I remember me and my brother watching this when we were kids. You could compare me to heathcliff and my brother to riff raff.

  • oh how i love heathcliff dya think he would trash garfield theres only one way to find out fiiiight!!!!!

  • punk rock dumpster diveing squatter crusty cats

thats what the remake should focus on..if god forbid there is one (i hear it's in the pipeline) also..keep the original theme song

  • I always wondered how the bathtub moved like that.

    Now I know. Aids.

  • OH MY GOD, memories!

  • 0:07

    Flippin' the bird

  • Why did Riffraft had a much hotter girl than Heathcliff? Cleo was much hotter than Soina.. Heathcliff was much tougher than Riff too.. The show was called Heathcliff too.. What were the creators thinking?

  • It's got to be the car.

  • Riffraff was a total baller, so of course he had "trophy" girlfriend, but when you think about it, Cleo was just kinda with him because of his status. No lasting connection.

Heathcliff meanwhile has an actual connection with his girlfriend, which in the long run will prove much more rewarding.

All of that doesn't change the fact that Cleo is smoking.

  • OH, how I remember watching this with my sister!

  • lol this was an awesome show

  • That's the one. Dic and Saban worked together on a lot of good stuff.

  • Yes

  • I just bought five episodes of Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats at a local supermarket for $5. Best Lincoln I ever spent :)

  • sigh... the good old days

  • Tell me about it. Today's cartoons pretty much suck.

  • Heathcliff is the last orginal voice Mel Blanc did before he passed away.

Mel Blanc was a very talented man..he left us with a lot of memories.

  • @Astraldragon1 he did it all bugs bunny, the list keeps going

  • OMG it was this, Inspector Gadget, GI Joe, and Transformers in the afternoons. Good times!

  • im so glad i found this on dvd

  • Don't Riff Raff and Cleo Look Cute Together In Their Balloon

  • it's like the team rocket meowth balloon

  • Please I don't Much Really care for Pokemon as much as I used too and I Meant when they Look at each other and smile they look cute

  • *cries......My Kingdom for a chance to relive my childhood.....just to watch this and other cartoons all over again....(it sucks that we all have to grow up and pay bills....)....ah well....

  • @arucardskross Heathcliff's on 5 days a week at 7AM on ThisTV.

  • I remember my brother and I would watch this at our neighbors house every weekday morning with our neighbor because then his parents would take us to school afterwards.

  • What about Eureka's Castle? or the Elephant Show? Skinna marink dee dink dee dink, skinna marink dee doo, I LOVE YOU!! lol memories....

  • Yeah I miss this show on there and David the gnome I say nuff already too

  • @uhsfan99 Yeah I hate that spongebob guy. He is so whack and trash

  • I miss this cartoon, I used to watch it with my brother all the time.

  • i wich i want some karaoke version

  • pendejadas

  • greattttt

  • Long live Mel Blanc!

  • Amen man cartoons will never be the same after mel blanc died dont you wish cartoons now can be as fun and cool like they was back in the 80s and 90s

  • Oh, I loved watching Heathcliff!

And I think Heathcliff and Garfield are totally different!

Each one got his own "ways of life"...

  • God, this brings back memories. Song is catchy as hell.

  • I remember this intro really well, and I'm sure my twin brother does too (though I'm sure he wouldn't admit it if his wife is around). We watched this for several years in the eighties, and probably into the early 1990s (I think we had Heathcliff The Movie recorded to tape at some point as well), but I haven't watched this show in years!

Great intro and outro - DiC knew how to master opening and closing credits.

  • What song is this?

  • Cosmic Lazer by Devvo

  • cleo is HOYY

  • I could see John Kricfalusi's name in there. He's the creator of Ren and Stimpy.

  • This was one of my favourites ones when I was a child, it's much better than the rubbish nowadays. I also like very much the 80's style of the theme.

  • what is the program name at swedish?

  • Katten Nisse

  • Katten Nisse

  • Sonya is cute. But Cleo is sexy.

  • You got that right! Cleo is very sexy

  • the french version is nise but this one is better i dont want to stop singing

  • one of my favorite morning cartoons growing up.

  • Heh! Notice who was mentioned in the voice credits? None other than Optimus Prime himself! PETER CULLEN FTW!!!

  • Best Cartoon theme ever. Also: is it just me or does anyone think Heathcliff and Riff Raff were the same feline? I think H-Cliff had PIMP side. And it was Riff-Raff

  • Well, the song mentiona alibi and competition, as well as superiority. You might be right!

  • The french version is better.

  • any one notice that Cleo looks like shes Pregniet?

  • I loved this cartoon! I think I read a few of the comic books of Heathcliff it has a PURR-FECT theme song & Heathcliff is sort of like Garfield a little bit. Wasn't The late Mel Blanc the voice of Heathcliff? Heathcliff sort of sounds like Bugs Bunny(Mel Blanc.) a little bit. It's great to see this again!

  • Oh & BTW There's a old vhs w/ a few old Heathcliff episodes the video's titled: The Heathcliff movie. & 1 more Question: Did any1 catch the Robot Chicken episode w/ both Garfield & Heathcliff? it was sooo funny! :)

  • Hey, fans of Ren & Stimpy might wanna look back at the credits during the closing sequence. They'll notice John K. was one of the animation assistants. John talked about how for a long time he would work for a lot of cartoons, even if he didn't like it before he got his big break in the late 80's. Not sure how he felt about Heathcliff.

  • John K. was on the credits Cartoonfan4072? Does he still work for Spunco? He did Ren & Stimpy, The new adventures of Mighty Mouse, He was 1 of the animation assistants for Heathcliff 2? I didn't know that until now. :)

  • Spumco shut down actually, but John K. is still working in animation and I just recently read his blog where he mentions working for Heathcliff. He said it was fun because he had a lot of freedom with character designs and could make them as cute as he wanted to, so he didn't feel frustrated like he did working for Nickelodeon.

  • He didn't like working for Nickelodeon? He also provided the voices for both Ren & Stimpy? It's kind of like Mike Judge provided both the voices of Beavis and Butthead. Didn't John K. get fired after some kind of arguement on the studio? & some1 else provided the voice of Ren? & I think I saw a deleted episode of Ren & Stimpy the cenors at the Nickelodeon studio didn't approve of 1 paticular episode.

  • Man's Best Friend, the infamous BANNED episode! But it wasn't just that episode. Sven Hoek got censored to hell, because of an "intimate" closet scene, which you can see uncensored on the Ren & Stimpy 1st and 2nd Season DVD Box.

John K. is, and always will be, one of the best animation artists EVER!

  • I also saw a few Spunco cartoons on cartoon network/Adult Swim sort of parody's of some of the Hanna Barbera cartoons.

  • I also remember the Heathcliff & Marmaduke cartoons where both on too 1 time.

  • The thing I never understood about this when I was little: why were there 2 seperate shows with in the show? It was almost like 2 different characters

  • Wow the memories...Cleo was so hot too! better than Sonya, Heathcliff's girl. And Heathcliff was voiced by none other than the great Mel Blanc..even as an old man he voiced the best cartoon characters!

  • I hear ya Jsphat. Cleo was more fun-loving than Sonya. Sonya was just a little too prissy for my taste. Gimmie Cleo anyday.

  • @greatrey

Cleo and Cheetara with M'ress are the finest catgirls in animation of the 80's!

  • I love Riff-Raff and Cleo! ^_^

    ~Ami

  • I liked the Riff Raff cartoons too stalkingseverus! :)

  • I have to tell you that Heathcliff and Inspector Gadget tended to crossover each other because they were produced by the same companies.

  • Well I used to watch both of them when I was little... I just haven't gotten my hands on an Inspector Gadget DVD yet...

  • This is cool uploading both the credits and theme song sridge13. :) Say speaking of Inspector Gadget which is another great 80's cartoon I remember there was 1 episode of Heathcliff where Inspector Gadget was on tv for a second on the episode & did u see the Robot Chicken episode w/ Inspector Gadget? the live action movie wasn't very good at all.

  • I did.

The DVD I have is the "Inspector Gadget saves Christmas"

  • I wish they could have done the same thing with The Real Ghostbusters.

  • i love this show

  • heathcliff baby
