@EvilRobotConquest Personally, I think on campus is best. You get just about the same deal as living off campus money-wise, but you have better access to on campus friends and food. Hope that helps!
I am only in 10th grade, but I am considering PSU for it's green, urban/modern architecture courses. I was just wondering are all of the dorms here like this?
@K1ngMcL3an not all of the dorms are like this. Broadway is one of the most recently constructed dorms on campus. Many are much older. However, as in incoming freshman, your options will be between Broadway and Ondine. My suggestion, go for Broadway. Ondine is nice, too, but Broadway has a more modern feel.
Hey I have a question. Ok so it seems that all the dorms are like apartment styled in a way. My friend told me tht some of the dorms at PSU are partially rented out to non-students. is that true
@ByrdGangNigga15 well, the campus is in the middle of downtown Portland. So take a look around the downtown area of where you live, and imagine putting a school there. There aren't many houses on campus, but there are many dorms and apartments. the public transportation is really good and easy to use. If you're thinking about PSU, go and have a look around before deciding. That'll help you to make a good decision.
@ByrdGangNigga15 I'm not sure about most, but many students are commuter students. The MAX makes it easy for people to get to a from places, though, so it's not so bad
@omiko09 thank you for answering all of my questions without getting annoyed or irritated with me. I'm from Washington so idk when I would be able to get out to portland but i appreciate your answers
Hey, I am attending PSU next year and was wondering if you think the dorms in Broadway or Ondine are better? Does Ondine have the small kitchen as well? And did you have the option of lofting your bed?
@tisihani personally, I think the Broadway dorms are better. The only rooms in Ondine that have kitchens are the suites on the upper floors. If you're coming in as a freshman, you most likely won't be in those rooms. You do have the option to loft your beds, depending on the frame your bed comes with. My Broadway bed could have been, but not my Ondine one. My bed in Blumel can, too. It all depends on the frame.
Hey I have a question, do those dorms have ceiling lights in the bed area? I took a tour of the dorms and I don't remember seeing any lights above the beds...
There are a couple lights in the kitchen area and in the bathroom. There is also a light above the stove. But there is no overhead lighting in the main sleeping/studying area.
Would you suggest living on or off campus? I'm planning on going to PSU in the fall and can't decide if it will be cheaper or not.

Does the Broadway dorms come with the microwave or coffee maker?

@eunicetheasian nope. those are things you will need to get for yourself. Though there is space for them in the kitchen

@ByrdGangNigga15 as far as I know, the rooms are only for students at PSU.

The dorms in this building (Broadway) don't. The rooms in Ondine do. But it is fairly easy to put lamps around the room to make it brighter

What about in the hallway area near the bathroom?
