@bloodgod3197 people make dubstep (or any other genre) in a variety of diffrent ways
some people use computers that run programs like ableton, flstudio, and reason(personally this is the best way because you can youe vsts like massive)
and some people do like he is doing and just sample souds make a drum loop and just go crazy on the pads but whatever you feel like as long as it sounds good it really dosent matter how you maek your songs
If i were to have money for one good CHEAP midi controller (maybe under 2-300$) what would be a good recommendation for a beginner..? thanks for any help!!:)
@1RESKER i don't know the price in dollars but the novation impulse is a good controller and here in europe it isn't to expensive. i recomended you the 49 keys
@djariell10 yeah that impulse looks pretty useful! (and fun!):) but im just wondering how complicated it is to program all the keys and how... haha total beginner.. do i need to buy samples or can i create my own in a software?
@1RESKER i don't have it hahaha i just know it for the videos and informition i found on the internet, i have seen that it comes with a program wich configure itself the controls for every program.
And about the samples you can find ( or buy ) in a lot of pages (my favorite is loopmasters) or you can do it by yourself in a software, i for exemple use ableton live to do it. hope it help you
anyone else think its funny that at 4:06 hes talking then takes a deep breathe and starts to press the pads like, the way hes pressing them and moving to the beat it all just....am i the only one seeing this??
@TheAntonioBaca you actually said "Eight Hundred Dollars fucking dollars"..DOLLARCEPTION! ....Oh, and a decent keyboard for this stuff is around $3000 Fucking dollars....dollars. Anyone ever stop to see how funny that word is?
nice man...im really trying to get into the electro ,crunk kind of scene lately, i listen to guys like pantyraid, michal menert, pretty lights n mimosa and i just really want to get into like producing beats for my friends who like to rap as a joke and also to make actual songs, its my dream and maybe in a year or 2 when i get maybe an mpc a keyboard and a mac with funds i save from a job, it will come true
Ok, to the guy in the movie... plz make some real deep DUBstep with this instruments. I'd like to see if it is usefull. I like that synth u got there damn!
buy some quality samples like snares, kicks, high hats , cymbols, ethnic drums, breaks/breakcore breaks and buy Massive VST, Alchemy VST and omnisphere for making basslines and ambient/pads...
But i can tell you if you know how to work these instruments it will be much easier in use than a program like fruity loops.
@saxmidiman This came from a man who has been involved with synthesis since 1979. I wouldn't even try to say that I have "made dubstep", because there really isn't anything that "defines" this as an actual style. I live in L.A. and one night I heard a "dubstep" performance that was happening downtown. I could hear it from my house 3 miles away. The "power"of the music was from amplification, more so than the integrity of composition. I welcome "all music" that is based in positivity.
@saxmidiman Meaning that this does not come from "hating" any kind of music...if it greases your wheels....go for it. I was just making an observation. Obviously it resonated with others if they voted that remark up so much...
first off, how baked are you, second, you really made it a lot easier knowing what to push, I'll be sure to go spend $1,500 and start pushing buttons, thanks.
I'm gonna hate myself for doing this, but I need to :P

hoooooow the fooock are these instruments connected (padmaschine and keyboard) via midithru? i don't get it. sounds and midiinformation have to be transfered from keyboard to padmachine (however it's called). any ideas?
actually the best way to make dubstep , is by recording you farts since the bass is an organic sound of shit,, why use a computer ,, and waste away that keyboard from its biggest potential The keys! Im soo naysaying that shit.. has everyone seriously gotten diverted from true sounds of music ?
