some people use computers that run programs like ableton, flstudio, and reason(personally this is the best way because you can youe vsts like massive)

and some people do like he is doing and just sample souds make a drum loop and just go crazy on the pads but whatever you feel like as long as it sounds good it really dosent matter how you maek your songs

And about the samples you can find ( or buy ) in a lot of pages (my favorite is loopmasters) or you can do it by yourself in a software, i for exemple use ableton live to do it. hope it help you

buy some quality samples like snares, kicks, high hats , cymbols, ethnic drums, breaks/breakcore breaks and buy Massive VST, Alchemy VST and omnisphere for making basslines and ambient/pads...

But i can tell you if you know how to work these instruments it will be much easier in use than a program like fruity loops.

I live in L.A. and one night I heard a "dubstep" performance that was happening downtown. I could hear it from my house 3 miles away. The "power"of the music was from amplification, more so than the integrity of composition. I welcome "all music" that is based in positivity.

While this is a true art and talent is a lot of technology to make a bunch of analog sounding loops.

I remember my brothers Roland S10 would mess up and create these nasty loops when you were reading a sample from disk. *yes... A sample from DISK. One 5 second clip = 1 disk. Sometimes both sides. We used to sample that sound and detune it. These new sounds remind me of that.
