i dont use the fruity formula controller atall really, so this might be a noobish type question but, why does the pattern i program into the envelope controller change in the song mode from the pattern mode, im guessing its somthing to do with the lfo or a loop needing to be closed off but not atall sure...

Okay so I did what you said but I was hoping that editing the ENV CTRL would actually do something, but it doesn't.

@JakkuShingler Turn up the level on Env Controller if you have not done that. Its default level value is at 0%, you will need it at 100% to work right.

@TheSavageist mess around with a preset called "Fry" under the bass tab. Play with the waveshaper and cutoff knobs under the filter 1 tab. Hope that helps. If I have some free time I'll try and make my own. Saw waves are used a lot in dubstep bass samples.

There is a much easier way to do that! Just higher or lower the cutoff in the LFO and then change the speed.

a good place to start is just googling "Free WAV samples" but if you are looking for genre specific samples ie. dubstep samples you may need to join a website or buy an actual sample pack. VIPZone offers tons of free samples if it is your first time signing up. Id check there as well.

as someone who has real synths. You do know you can do all that automation seemlessly with Vanguards LFO, as long as you have the LFO synced to the BPM of the sequencer. Maybe you should instead start with an inital patch in Vanguard and program that. It would be infinitely easier, and sound better.

YES! Just tested it, but be sure to place the presets in the right folder.

Plugin Presets:

FL9 > Data > Patches > Plugin Presets

Mixer Presets:

FL9 > Data > Patches > Mixer Presets

Template:

FL9 > Projects > Templates

Dont use a softclipper man. If your sound clips, the sound quality is worse, just lower the volume to halfway and balance out everything not to make anything peak.

thats a long ass way of getting a wob man, i mean the "C Knob" thingy is just keyboard tracking on the rate, which most synths/modules have built in..

yea... it's the only method I can figure out where you can change the rate of FM. You are correct the many plugins have it built in and i'll go into that in a later tutorial
