kids movie......kids is not a definition of a movie.... nor is it a genre.....its an adventure, comedy.....nobody ever said it was for kids...perhaps there target audience was kids however that itself is debatable as for the 4 generations of fans it has grown with...such as myself being 21..and still very happy to see this movie..for me it is my most anticipated film of the year..

Now we know that Ian is in fact on the ship and it appears like he and Dave are friends now. We also see that the Chipmunks/Chipettes get blown to the island on a kite.

Here's some food for thought: Look closely at the figure on the right of the screen as the Chipettes and Chipmunks are being zoomed in as they're singing Bad Romance. Does that look like Dave's hair? Or maybe it's something else.

@mjp9mm Oh my, just noticed that! (And to think I've watched the trailer 9-10 times lol) From the back it doesn't look like Dave's hair, but who else could be on this deserted island? Rumor has it that David Cross is in this film as well (which might not make any sense), but would that character be returning again? Or what if Toby is on the island? lol, I'm open to any and all other theories. :)

@mjp9mm Ooh.. That's quite possible.. And considering the next part of the trailer is "He's been bothering me a lot longer than you".. Is it possible that he is speaking to Jeanette and not Dave? (After all, Dave trips on the sunscreen that Alvin puts on the deck)... Keep those theories coming! :)

@Newtapple13 Except Simon is looking upward when he is speaking. Plus, the chronology of the film's events is very different to that of the trailer.
