  • @ReachoutTrust it's interesting to hear her talk about it. it's not something i've got much experience with, being jewish but not very religious. i can't help but think that it can be counter-productive in life to worry about what's going to happen when you die. i would like to think that most people who believe in god would like us to be nice and considerate to eachother while we are on earth or whatever. aside from that, i'm not sure much else matters.

  • Why waste so much time talikbg about religion and not her singing which is all her fans are interested in. Boring, boring interview .

The Talmud is a LEGAL book full with discussions on Jewish Law.‎

Jesus was a religious Jew who claimed to be the Messiah. The Jews maintained that ‎he did not fulfill the Messianic prophecies, and that no prophet could contradict the ‎Law which Jesus did. To claim that Jesus is God, or the son of God, was heresy. ‎Consequently their discussions are very harsh and excessive. ‎

  • LOVE (big hug!) always wins :-)

  • m3c1g3 - just to expand: if it were not for the Jews, there would be no Christianity! Jesus was an observant Jew and also his apostles were Jews. Yet it was the Jews, those most able to validate his message, who rejected Jesus.

The founders of Christianity then had a problem - the Jews, MERELY BY CONTINUING TO BE JEWS, threatened the very legitimacy of the church. If Judaism remained valid, then Christianity was invalid.

  • The parts in the Talmud about Jesus were written by the Jews of Jesus' days who rejected Jesus' miracles and teachings and claims to be the promised Messiah. The Christian writings contain the same statements about some of the Jewish leaders' attitudes towards Jesus. Some Jewish rabbis believed in Jesus , others did not. Those who believed became Christians-the early church was Jewish until they accepted the Gentiles in.

  • nicely said!

    did you see

    etc

    through to 07?

  • According to the Talmud, Yeshu was the son of a Jewish woman named Miriam who was betrothed to a carpenter. "Betrothed" means she was legally married to him, but she was not yet living with him or having sexual relations with him. The story says that Miriam was either raped by or voluntarily slept with Pandeira, a Greek or Roman soldier. Miriam than gave birth to Yeshu, who was considered a "mamzer" (bastard), a product of an adulterous relationship.

  • well put!

  • thank you, what do you think about it..if you think miriam was raped, that mean jesus from a bad women and who follow him as christian bad too.

  • Well, its interesting! Of course I don't KNOW (because I wasn't there!) and I wouldn't want to offend anyone - but if you are quoting from the Talmud; it's interesting. Muslims see Jesus as a Prophet, but of course not as the son of God. Jews recognize his existence but obviously not the Messiah.

Alas! nobody likes the Jews because neither did they accept Jesus nor Muhammad. But everyone believes in the ONE GOD - YKVK - so let's all live in peace together with our so-called differences! :-)

  • According to the talmud again (yeshu and messiah and jesus and christ) all they are same name as one meaning jesus, but in different languages(aramic and heberu and english)that is mean the talmud mean jesus no other body and that is very bad..mean they do not recognized the christ existence mean also they do not recognized the christianity .JESUS SON OF GOD

  • Dear friend,

I am not sure if I understood all you write. I don't know what the Talmud says on the matter. And I don't care !!! All I know is that Jews believe in the ONE GOD alone. Jews don't accept Jesus as the Messiah. That's why we remained Jews! But personally I have nothing against anyone believing in Jesus of course, as long as they don't try to impose that belief upon me!

No, Jews and Muslims don't believe Jesus is the son of God. If they did we would all be Christians I guess!!!! :-)

  • I am sorry, but I don't understand what point you are trying to make. How will God see who is right and wrong - what do you mean?

You say, QUOTE "if you think miriam was raped, that mean jesus from a bad women and who follow him as christian bad too" UNQUOTE.

So, what are you trying to say?

Is this what you refer to that I cannot answer properly? Please clarify because it is not clear what you are trying to tell me, and I will be happy to answer you, if my reply was not satisfactory.

  • It's quite simple, The Jewish folk don't reckon Jesus is actually the Messiah. The Jews are still waiting for the messiah to come therefore can't be Christians who believe Jesus is the messiah.

  • The caller's poem was beautiful. Seriously, I have never considered that Jewish people were not or could not be Christians. We are all one in God's eyes. There are some Holocaust doctumentaries or articles that I just can't watch or read. As a child and even now as an adult, I just could get my mind around why the Jewish people were slaughtered. It seems as if there has always been so the term says: "Man's inhumanity to man."
