It is technically a subway, it may use light rail but this is still a short subway section none the less, its just part of a light rail system. A subway is defined by its mode not necessarily by the type of rolling stock it uses. And btw light rail can also be rapid transit depending on how its designed in a given city.
Sorry, the Pittsburgh subway is a real subway, albeit a short one. If you want it to be extended elsewhere, please write your politicians urging them to increase taxes or to at least find the funds to build some extensions. I'm sure the Port Authority will be very happy to have to opportunity to oblige you.
I know I live by Pittsburgh North of pittsburgh and it only goes to south hills they need to build one that goes to north east and west where the airport is too maybe they ran out of money

Technically no, those are CAF rail cars, but CAF also has some remade Siemens cars as well.
