The dude in the vest looks like the oldest son in one of the "Wife Swaps" The one with the family hardly ever got out and never wore shoes. His dad had a long white beard.
@Sal3050 well not really a "busking on the mall" 2 or 3 but these guys (Shamisen Players in this video) went to Japan this spring and made tons of movies and dozens of new performance clips filmed in all kinds of odd places . for a crazy sci fi/action feature film (starring all these guys )go to the monstersofshamisen youtube channel and look up 怪物が脱走 part 2. more clips up at shamikami and shamisendemon channels!
Do mind helping pick up those pieces of my brain laying around.. cause.. that.. just.. BLEW MY MIND! hahaha Very well done good sirs.. great performance, and i applaud you a thousand times over..
素晴らしい!!
今でも皆さん、弾かれているのでしょうかね!?
正座しての奏でる心意気にも感動しました!!

Yep. That's a K-Man.
The strip is called a yubikake. It's helps the left hand slide up and down the neck. Without it, there's too much friction of the skin.

Fantastic, I wish you all that is good.
thankfully there are people like you that post video's of this calibre here on youtube instead of the usual run of the mill youtube fluff.

Awsome i love traditional japanese music, btw this might sound stupid but is Santa Cruz in America?
Murderknobz 3 years ago
Excellent question! :-) Yes, it's the Santa Cruz in America, rather than the one in South America.
fiddlefella 3 years ago
There's a Santa Cruz in Trinidad too.

I tell ya. Can't beat a city name like Santa Cruz! . . other than *insert your favorite city name here*, of course. ;-)

why are you speaking japanese amongst yourself? this is such a pity
mikuchan 3 years ago
Well, because Masahiro speaks very little English, we spoke Japanese to accommodate him.
How is that a pity?
