  • the clip is a FAKE, Why are u producing fake "old" movies? You did the same with "Nietzsche footage".

    A comm. about you:

"I first encountered him when I followed a link from the Wikipedia entry on Vaslav Nijinsky to the `only known footage of Nijinsky's `Afternoon of a Faun' to this watch?v=nMqLLYrEF60. If footage existed of Nijinsky dancing, it was news to me and every Nijinsky biographer.

  • he was the best dancer in the 20th century right?

  • I would've loved to have seen this man dance live.

  • @YaoiHuntressEarth he is dead

  • @alibaba1341 I know. Maybe someday they will have time machines *chuckle*.

  • Not really Nijinsky, but a convincing and entertaining emulation.

There are conflicting accounts of whether he was ever filmed in performance, but no such film survives, as of October 2010.

  • @LeakyMustang he never was filmed ,never diaghilev permitted.probabily if he has been filmed would be a delusion as all that time filmed dancer compared at today's standard

  • Bello!!!

  • Wonderful!

  • Grazie Kostas!!!Eccezionale!!!

  • Molto particolare

Grazie Judie per la condivisione !

  • Thanks Kostas for sending....SUBLIME!!!

  • Preciosa raridade!

  • Blatant cheating done with computer graphics!!!! Fake!!!

  • Genial aunque corto

  • I am in love with nijinsky, I think his face is so beautifully perfect.

  • What I would give to go back and time and see him perform. Thanks for posting this!

  • i have seen many times :"afternoon of a faun" , so many versions and no dancer made what nijinsky have made to this dance, special and uniq.

  • I hate all these comments about how fake this is...This is great, tedious work and the closest to live dancing we will ever see of Nijinsky..Thanks!

  • se è veramente del 1912 è 100 anni avanti

  • This is just great. Danke!

  • One year before the premier of Rite of Spring. Very interesting. Thanks for posting.

  • superb, I hate computer graphics cheesy ass cartoon stuff. but if it can be used like this, organic perfect.. and such enchanting alluring subject matter.. footage of the Nijinsky!

  • it´s magic :)

  • I hope you can do this for Isadora Duncan, too. It is wonderful.

  • Knowing that you've "cheated" doesn't matter. Even though it's not real, it's still MESMERIZING.

    Keep it up.

  • Newsflash: Nijinsky wasn't actually a faun, either. Nice job developing your technique! Look forward to seeing more of these animations.

  • Very neat! You should learn about animation, animation timing and spacing, so you can make the movements look natural (right now they're all evenly spaced images).

    Cool stuff!

  • video fakery, google it please.

  • With each attempt, you have improved, Comte. I'm looking forward to see what you can come up with in the future. Keep working on making the movements natural. (It still seems a little strange how all movements are in sync one with another. It seems a little unnatural in a paper doll sort of way. Generally arms and legs move at a pace relative to the length of the limb as if it were a pendulum. Thus arms tend to move faster than legs... a generalization, I'll admit... but if it helps...)

  • fake fake fake

  • Wow. It sure seems real at first glance. I'm no computer expert but-I love it. In spite of the naysayers I don't care how this footage of Nijinsky was created or by what medium. Breathtaking in it's own way. 5 Stars.

  • c'est superbe

  • where on earth did you get this clip...??

  • SUPERB
