  • Thanks for posting. I also have a G26 for CCW. However, I have a dilema, perhaps you and others can help. I just can't carry this thing in condition 1 locked and loaded. I'm just worried about a misfire so I've been carrying uncocked. Any suggestions from you or others? I've thought about getting a smaller 380 carrying in condition 1 with a safety slide. Thanks!

  • @sevinger Yes - fair question for many CCW holders. You didn't mention the holster you use, but if it secures the trigger well that should make you feel more comfortable. You can always carry with a full mag but w/o one in the chamber. Not the best option either as it would take a second or so to get in firing condition. I guess the other issue is training/practice. Controling your fingers to always place them on the side at the ready position. Perhaps others can add to this.

  • 380 is smaller than a 9mm fyi..........

  • @highcountryhay Yes.....if my memory serves me right, they are the same caliber but the 380 has a shorter case. Thus it is considered less effective for cc based on many articles I have read.

  • Bought one, did not like it. Put it in the shop to sell and it bugged me too much to get rid of it. Put a ghost tactical trigger job on it and changed sights to XS- Big Dot s night sights on it. Much nicer for me now, it is a keeper. My Glock 23 I did the Ghost trigger job, added a stock Glock target trigger and Glock night sights on it. a couple of changes and they suit my needs better now and I have more experience working on my gun's for the effort. Don't give up on Glock, they still rock!

  • good vid

  • Nice extended mag. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

  • I have a 27 but grabbed a 9mm conversion barrel to use at the range. Get the barrel, pick up a 9mm mag and your set!

  • I've got the Glock 26 Gen 4 and the Glock 27 Gen 4, don't ask me why. I guess I bought the 26 because the ammo is cheaper, but carry my .40 cal more often than not, seeing they are the same size. Just a suggest put the extension mag away in your pocket or use it at the range, you need to pactice wth standard mag, it easier to conceal. I carry in pocket a mag from my Glock 23, just in case. Those who are looking for a thinner gun almost a Glock try the Walther PPS.

  • Evin***

  • I never could figure out a good way to pocket carry my 26 but it rides great in my galco king tuk evil in the summer time

  • great video

  • I just got the g30 great gun, first glock to own and love it. Nice light and easy to carry.

  • I wish Glock would make a slimline sc 9mm and sc 40. they'd probably capture all of Khar's PM9 and PM40 market because Glock would do it $200 cheaper. and maybe Glock's pocket 40 would actually work (unlike Khar's). I'll have one of each please.

  • I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that a responsible gun owner has safety checked his/her weapon before they hit the record button. nice gun. a little fat but not too bad. I like my 27 more but I shoot my 26 a lot.

  • its best to go with what feels right to you.

  • @TestMiNuh oh yea, better to conceal carry than no carry at all, id rather have my glock under my shirt than a pocket full of change, people who put down conceal carry are usually just jealous because they cant carry themselves, my gun has saved my life 3 times, i've only been carrying 2 years, twice all i had to do was pull it out and the 3rd time i shot a crackhead who came at me with a knife, i wounded him in the shoulder and the police said i was justified, i wouldnt be here if i didnt carry

  • @jroxx11211 im not putting down concealed carry. i have both options available and i choose to open carry....if you were open carrying, you would not have been attacked 3 times....the intimidation factor of open carry alone is enough to thwart a thief....btw where do you live?? i live in washington dc and in even the shittiest part i've never been robbed. why is everything have to be a fight on the internet? i was just making a suggestion. thats all. i'm not jealous of you or mad you. i promise.

  • @TestMiNuh sorry if i came off as defensive, but open carry just isnt viable, if from new york but happen to live in the tampa area, i live in a decent area but work in alot of ghettos doing rehab work in fixing up dilapidated houses, theres alot of gang bangers and just undesirables all around, im usually wearing a tool belt and cant keep a gun on my hip with tools on, once again, sorry for coming off like that, i wasn't trying to pick a fight, just defensive because of past experiences.

  • I first chose the .40 S/W because 9mm was to light and 45Acp is to heavy thats y I had chosen the .40S/W then I went looking for a pistol that was small but packed the .40 Cal.I only found the Taurus 709 slim 9MM so I had purchased that (the .40 was not out yet) Then I came across te Taurus 740 Slim which I carry now it is a great gun very small 6+1 fantastic little gun I love it.My next gun is going to be the G-23 in .40 S/W,and this summer I will be getting the springfield XD(m) 3.8

  • Nicely done. I couldn't agree with you more . I've been carrying a G26 everyday for the last 2 years. I use the same extension you have and it doesn't really print badly at all. I carry IWB in a Comp-Tac holster. Very comfortable rig.

  • Thats a huge mag extention.I use the smaller version.

  • I carry the same ammo in my G19. Nice setup there bro.

  • Where did u get your extended mag for the g26? Looks comfortable for the hand

  • @CDLTonyPC Just from the local gunshop - you can order online as well.

  • @CDLTonyPC they are factory mags with pinky extensions. I bought 2 for my 2 factory mags. 10 bucks a piece.

  • I bought a 27 like 10 years back sold it about 6 years ago and kicked my ass ever since ill get another

  • Nicely done, Sir! Thanks for the information.

  • if anybody has an issue that 9mm isnt a BIG enough round for them there is ammo out there that packs a hell of a punch much like the impact of a 45

  • I like your videos, Nashi; you're one of the more calm and rational presenters, and have obviously done a great deal of research and thought carefully about your subject matter before presenting it. I also wish to extend my compliments to you for the way you handle responding to other people's comments; people can be so nasty so quickly over subjects hardly worthy of that much emotion. You've heard the saying: "If you can remain calm and keep your head when everyone else is losing theirs...."

  • @texascommtech Thanks. YT has plenty of jerks - don't want to be another one. My goal is provide factual info or at least an informed opinion based on my experience. Best way is to stick with facts & leave emotions out of it. This is just a vid site, as you say, it's not that important. Most just want to argue, guess they feel that since they read a wiki article they know it all. I just delete some comments, esp if it's just childish name caling. I'm still learning and don't mind saying so.

  • @texascommtech Great comment I could not have said it any better. You and your Family Have a Great New Year

  • Glock also makes a 12 round magazine like the ones you have as well as the pierce extensions. If you want the pinky extender best to just go with the 12 round Glock mag for the 26. This gun is really leaning on me hard, all of the sudden I gotta have one ! Im even thinking of trading my Beretta 92 for one ? I would probably carry it more than my 92, that's for sure ! just don't know if it's worth it ?

Probably would go with the Gen 4 version too but may go with the Gen3 if I get a good deal.

  • @TommyGuns40 they're great ccw guns, gen 3 or gen 4 does not matter they're both good. i have a gen 4 glock 19 that i love and a gen 3 glock 26 that is great as well.

dont buy the glock factory 12 rounders though, they charge too much for them. a 10 round g26 mag is between 20 and 25 dollars, a 12 round factory g26 mag is between 30 and 35 dollars, you are better off buying the glock +2 baseplate or pearce +2 and just installing it yourself, you will save money and it's piss easy to install.

  • In your opinion is the Glock 26 better than the Beretta px 4 storm sub compact .

  • @bigluke3000 everything,including a frozen cat turd, is better than a beretta px4.

  • Thanks

  • i was dumb i picked the glock 20 to conceal carry so i said fuck it im gonna open carry

  • my dad has a glock 23 and it is a breeze to shoot, i love all glock products

  • I bought a nice used G26 gen 3 with 1 12 round mag for $300. Glocks are awesome. mine came with a Bianchi IWB suede holster. The only ammo that should be avoided is the Russian steel casing ammo as per the advice from the "Glock Doctor" in Arizona, it wears out the ejector.

  • @RECONDO101st steel cased ammo is cheap. Cheap means you get more for the money. Which means you will shoot more, which means you can train more. So what if it is harder on the extractor? The extractor can cost less than a box of premium hollowpoints. You wear it out and replace it. It takes 3 minutes.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES May take you 3 minutes but i'm not proficient enough to change an extractor but I am lucky enough to live 45 min from Glock in Smyrna. That steel cased ammo for me is last ditch ammo when there's nothing else left. I was advised by Glock NOT to use the steel cased ammo unless it was an emergency.

  • I have a G26 with one of the mags with the extension on it but I never carry it that way simply because it kind of ruins the size benefit of the gun. With the the Pearce mag extension on it it basically becomes a short barreled G19. I find myself carrying the 19 almost as much as the 26 depending on what I'm wearing.

  • @dphitch True it adds extra height with the extension. I liked it because it was easier for me to grip and when i used it I felt I had better control & accuracy.

  • @dphitch come on guys this size thing has gotten out of hand (excuse the pun) IT is a firearm to save your life. If it has to fit into such a small comfort zone you need to re-evaluate why you carry in the first place. Unless absolute discretion is a must a few inches here and there is nonsense. Many serious shooters CCW full size 1911s and they conceal just fine. I often carry my M&P .45 fulls size or M&P 9 fullsize and there are no worries. I do believe that the Glock 19 is just about perfect.

  • I'm so sick of these people bitching about safety checks. who gives a fuck it's not like he can shoot you through the internet. I watch a ton of gun videos and having to see and hear the same thing over and over again gets irritating

  • @realmofexcursion thank you sir ppl bitch to be a bitch

  • @realmofexcursion AMEN brother! It's like a bunch of tree hugging hippies are watching these posts just looking for things to bicth about. If you watch youtube videos to learn about gun safety you need to be shot.

  • @realmofexcursion People don't safety check their weapons to piss of idiots like you but rather to try and make a habit out of it so when youngsters watch it over and over and over they get a habit of doing it too. What's the benefit you ask?? Well it will prevent accidents.

  • @MrMattsteinman if ur lucky, 400 or so for a nice used one. standard look at about 550-600

  • What kind of holster is that

  • good vid i agree. 9mm is perfect round. people need 2 remember a bullet can go through one body and hit another.uncle mikes got some iwb with a clip. love my 17 but lookin forward to gettin a 26 for better concealment. wonderin what kind of protection round u use

  • What mag is that? Or is it a pinky extension?

  • @machineguntongue Pearce mag extension.

  • @MrMattsteinman Don't know what they sell for now. There are auction sites like gunbroker, cheaper than dirt or impact guns that will have prices.

  • TRY A GALCO GTO286 IWB, I GOT IT FOR 18 BUCKS AT A GUN SHOP IN TAMPA, VERY COMFORTABLE N EASY TO DRAW.

  • hi did you have problems with the pierce extensions? does it interfere with magazines performance?

  • @kingbigdawg9 Nope - no difference so far.

  • got one for 12 bucks. It rides a little high which feels weird in the front. But i think i like that(better concealment.now waiting for ghost rocket and spring kit.I filed the bump on the trigger bar down.went from 6.5# to 5.5#.

  • I bought one today(gen 4).Very acurate.Does anyone know of a good cheap IWB holster

  • @MrAluminator Uncle Mike's side kick.

  • @MrAluminator, don hume H 715-M W.C iwb $30.00 real nice very comfortable

  • @MrAluminator Do yourself a favor and get a quality IWB holster. You already spent good money on the gun, get a nice holster.

  • @MrAluminator galco makes a great iwb holster, very reasonable at about 30 bucks, i have one for my g26 and it fits good and its easy to pull, holds the gun snug and has a good clip

  • @LongRange4Life Pearce.

  • @Shitraver . Sure it will, with a good round in the mag; it has close to the wame 'window' of stopping power that the 40 cal does. Shot placement is everything...a 40 cal in the arm or leg won't stop many either. YOu can miss with both, and you can put two in the head with both, depending upon how good is your aim.

  • 11 rounds. 10+1 in the chamber :)

  • @Shitraver

Ya, that wimpy 300 ft-lbs of energy from a 9mm out of a 3" barrel is nothing compared to that 300 ft-lbs of energy from a .40 cal /3" or that 300 ft-lbs from a .45 auto /3"... oh, wait... they all pretty much have the same energy, penetration and wound channels, and a double tap to the chest of a felon all have around a 99% instant stop.

Of course, some may want to take the advice of armchair commandos. I prefer to use reason, statistics, field experience and lots of range time.

  • @krakenbound nothing wimpy about a 9mm. i like the .45, but a lot of people don't realize how leathal a 9mm can be, because of the size of the round. many people don't consider stats, and shot placement. a .22 to the head will drop a 1000 pound steer in less than a second, go figure.

  • @Shitraver naw man any gun is better than no gun from .22 to 50 cal

  • i have a Glock 26 and I am very happy with it....baby Glock ......I also have a compact .45 Sig sauer.....9mm is cheaper in bullets and that is what I carry always with me.

  • (my opinion only) the best glock for ccw is the glock 36. i have been using it for ccw for years and never had a problem hiding it. any weapon that is not a single stack is hard to conceal, for me anyway. if 9mm is your thing you could find many others that are reliable and a lot thinner than any glock.

  • @1973timc it makes no sense Glock still has not made a slimline, singlestack 9mm for concealed carry like almost every other gun maker has out right now..

  • @USMC19777 i like the .45 so i cary my 36 when i can. if i am not dressed for it i will cary my 9mm (walther pps) or even my .380 (bersa thunder). My point is if you are going to ccw the glock the 36 is the best (my opinion.)

  • I recently read of yet another incident of a bad guy soaking up about 7-8 shots from a glock 19 (9mm) using quality hollowpoints. I have fallen out of love with my 9mm as a primary concealed carry weapon. (yes, I realize that shot placement is most important - but that's ridiculous)

  • I was torn between this and the glock 36, and went with the 36. Not because of caliber, I am fine with 9mm or .45ACP. I went with the 36 because it felt more concealable.

  • The Glock 26 is an excellent pistol. I carry a Glock 27 myself, because of love the 40 S&W round. Glocks eat up any kind of ammo, even that crappy russian steel case stuff, which is notoriously underpowered. I carry mine with the flush magazines. This is about as thick as you wanna go, but it depends how big you are. If you are 300 lb and 6.5, then maybe a Glock 19 or 23, maybe even a Glock 30 would work. I'm about 5.7 - 5.9 and this is about as thick as I want in an EDC pistol.

  • @Shitraver

Yeah, but a lot of the time, when someone tries to mug you and you pull out a...GUN...the diameter of the barrel is less of a factor than the fact that the person has a GUN pointed at them. Simply drawing a gun is enough stopping power for most situations. If you're really that concerned, pack your .45, but don't go around telling people what's better, gun owners are not idiots (other than people like you), they do their research, and choose what best suits their needs. Not yours

  • @Shitraver If a jacketed hollow point 9mm wouldn't incapacitate an attacker, no practical pistol round would.

  • Right now I'm debating the G26 or G27 to carry 24/7. I've owned a G30 and carried it for 2 years. eventually u get tired of having that "pocket freight-train" weighing down your pants. What I am trying to get at is ballistics of ammo these days are better than the old days. It should only matter what pistol you kick ass with. Whether it be .22 to .44. If you train to be a accurate and lethal shooter and can carry it 24/7 w/o problems then do it. $ will also dictate what u carry. research people!

  • @Shitraver shot placement matters a hell of a lot more than the size of the round. You can take down a human with a .22 if you are accurate and hit the right spots. Stop being so close-minded.

  • No doubt a .45 packs a bigger punch. When considering whether a .9mm round is adequate for self defense, I look at the incidents in Tucson, AZ and Manchester, CT as recent examples. Unfortunately, many lost their lives to nutjobs firing 9mm...not by expertly picking their shot placement, but by pointing and shooting. Those horrible events convinced me that 9mm is plenty lethal. That said, still debating between .9mm and 40cal.

  • @TheBurkey426 Oh there are PLENTY of incidents in history that prove the .22 deadly as well. Look at the VTech shooting. 1 of the shooter's weapons was the Walther .22 PPS. AND a 9mm Glock. He killed 33 people, injured many others.

Columbine, there was a 9mm tech-9 used, and a 9mm rifle, granted they also had shot guns, they also killed and injured with the 9mm guns.

2 of the biggest school shootings in history INVOLVED 9mm AND .22 so if anybody wants to say they suck are idiots.

  • Glock 32 for me.

  • Shot placement is for sure the key to stopping the threat but making those shots count under a high stress situation is something that requires lots of practice. The more you handle the gun, carry it, and practice will get you comfortable with the firearm and when the time comes(hopefully it won't) then you will be comfortable enough in handling the gun to get the job done. I choose to carry the Glock 30sf and with the bigger round comes bulk but I like the .45 and it packs a punch.

  • @chrizzis77 Exactly. With proper training and practice over time you will be fine with shot placement when you have to actually shoot. Expecially if you have law enforcement or military experience you should be better off than the average joe, unless of course the average joe happens to train himself better. If you hit the range a lot, practice stress under fire drills, or have a lot of airsoft or paintball experience, it will make you better off when it turns real.

  • If you can shoot well, it doesn't matter what caliber you use. A 9mm can kill someone just as fast as a 40sw or a 45 if you can aim.

  • nice Glock 26 for concealed carry

  • i carry the glock 27 love it !!

  • @Shitraver show me some proof of this please.

  • cool vid I like the 10mm G29

  • @Shitraver what about shot placement a 9mm will stop a man as well as a 40 if placed in the right place a shot through the heart or in the neck will stop a man dead over a 40 in the gut, its common sense but i do agree that 40 and 45 are better

  • @gruffman16 For every shooting scenario/situation there is the perfect round. If some bad guy is standing directly in front of us and not moving and the is no one or nothing behind them, and we can take our time and breath and hold and aim, shoot him then, the biggest baddest hand gun round would be best. Problem is that there are a billion scenarios, some situations FMJ would be best, in others JHP. Some .22 cal others .50. Those

  • @gburke52 those who say 9mm is too week and is not a man stopper are morons and know nothing about terminal ballistics. Navy Seals all carry Sig 226 in 9mm, Special Forces carry the same or Glock 17. They all have 124gr FMJ +P+ NATO round. There outlook is ammo capacity, and being able to shoot accurate while shooting fast!

  • @Shitraver A 9mm should be better than a 25, 32 or 380 and a 40 can't stop them as fast as a 44 mag or 50 cal. Each person can decide what they're comfortable with carrying. Never said a 9mm was the best in every way, but it has a good balance of all of the factors for cc. A person can survive a hit from a 40 just as a they can with a 9mm or any other rd depending on placement. Carry what ever you want.........

  • @nashi55 Exactly! It is all about shot placement! The bias .40/.45 people are idiots. If we are talking FMJ only then I would carry a .45, With bullet technology and the outstanding JHP's made today 9mm is as good as .357 sig, .40 .45. It is all about shot placement! If you ever get into a shooting, high adrenalin situation, depending on your level of training you can loose up to 50% of accuracy! I want more ammo in my mag, and be able to place my follow up shots on target.

  • @Shitraver There are those that won't use a 45 - only want a 357/44 mag. Everybody has their thoughts, I just wanted guys to think about the whole package. A 45 is great but concealing it is harder, plus they usually carry fewer rds. Not everybody can control a more powerfull rd. You gotta be able to hit the target & follow up if needed. For cc use - 9mm is a good choice to me. A G26 has 10rds, so a compentent owner should be safe. Even if they miss twice - still have 8 rds for the bad guy.

  • did your 10 round magazines come with that finger extension?

  • @hazikk No they didn't - the extensions were added to the stock mags.

  • Good choice. I got my G26 in December, 2009 and carry it virtually everywhere I go. After doing it for over a year, I have yet to be detected by anyone while carrying concealed.

  • No it's not.

  • is this a gen 4?

  • @aroccop no the gen 4 has a noticeably different grip.

  • Please go through the typical safety precautions (release mag, show empty chamber, and dry fire in a safe position) when handling a gun for reviews like this. It may be a pain but it gets people in the habit when handling their own guns. I just got a Glock 17 and I am very happy with it although its not really sized as a good ccw.

  • @stussmachine I understand your point, but keep in mind that those items are done before I record. I try to keep the vid time as short as possible. Adding those items only makes long vids even longer. Plus, if you handle firearms they should be standard practice for you anyway. There are many web sites and vids that specialize in and discuss firearm safety. That's not really my line....

  • @nashi55 not to mention its friggin boring to watch safety checks in EVERY SINGLE GUN VIDEO!! Rack the slide 20 times stick your pinky in the chamber!! Yeah great!! Get a life safety patrols and stop trying to sound like you know something by repeating the crap we ALL KNOW ALREADY!!! Good review nashi55

  • @LordRockfish lol...thanks.

  • @LordRockfish

    lol, I could'nt agree more.

  • @nashi55 Its really anoying when people are reviewing handguns...and they safety check it 42 times ...to me it shows their lack of experience and confidence. I personally feel like I could be harmed by one of these folks...By having a accidentaly discharged round fly out of my computer moniter and find myself ducking so much that I can hardly watch their inept reviews

  • @nashi55 safety sally trolls.

  • @stussmachine Why is it everybody for some reason needs to "prove" there gun is safe? Gonna shoot someone through the screen? Don't we all know how to be safe with our firearms? I don't see why every review needs to be a free gun safety course. Unless of course the title of the vid is "Free gun safety course".

  • @snatale1 lol..............I feel the same way, but on youtube people will give you a bunch of shit if you don't do a safety check and then you lets say pull the trigger or point the muzzle towards yourself. The whole theory is treat all weapons as if they are loaded and the youtube viewers assume that when they are watching these vids.

  • @stussmachine G26 is what i recommend

  • nashi h have had 6 (SIX) jams on this gun. Almost all of them with Fiocci ammo. I think it does not like Fiocci. A couple stove pipe, one failure to fire (certainly that wa s the ammo) one or two failure to extract. The gun was whistle clean and lightly lubed.

it has made me not trust this gun vs. my $300 bersa thunder 380. 300 rounds, jams, ZERO.

  • @PrinceMustDie666 Yep - from my experience pistols like or don't like certain ammo. The brand of ammo can really affeect the pistols performance. Does the bersa like Fiocci?

  • i wouldnt use reloads it will void your warranty if somthing happens

  • If you carry it around in that case is that considered concealed?

  • @beetletweed Don't know - laws vary so much. As long as it was unloaded, in the case & in your vehicle, I don't think a CC license is required. But to carry it around...I don't know.

I have to ask though - why would you want to?

  • @nashi55 I was just curious if carrying a pistol in it's case (either with logo or generic) is considered "concealed". Not saying it would be a good idea though, especially with a branded case.

  • @beetletweed Okay... I had to ask!!

  • @beetletweed you should be fine with that,as long as its in a locked case without the mag in the firearm.in your trunk(not glove box).

  • @beetletweed its

  • I think the extended mag for grip purpose is a must. I don't like my bottom two fingers hanging over the grip. Doesn't feel right. The way you have your Glock 26 set up is perfect. As I said, especially your extended mag.

  • @HspncElvis I used to carry the 26 with the grip extension as well, I went to a range and decided to rent a 19, ended up selling the 26 for a 19 and find it just as easy to conceal as the 26 with the extension. just my opinion.

  • i use my blackhawk serpa holsters year round but they are perfect for winter when you can dress a little on the heavy side

  • cant go wrong with the 26, good vid

  • @pu33yassassin

Handguns are pretty useless. They generally DON'T kill. They do stop attacks. However, if you know you are walking into a gunfight, take a rifle or a shotgun.

The reason we carry handguns is because they are not big or heavy. They also conceal well.

I carry a .357 Magnum revolver concealed, or a 20 shot Glock 17 (19 round magazine) in 9 MM on my hip or both, & have an AR-15 & a 12 Gauge Mossberg 590 A1 with 9 pellet 00 buck and slugs in the trunk & placed around the house.

  • @Glock24Guy I wouldn't say are usless...each has a specific role it's best for whether it's a pistol, rifle or shotgun. As long as a pistol keeps you safe, then it has done what you wanted.

  • @Glock24Guy Where do you live – Tombstone or Dodge City?

If I knew that I would avoid it or get help. Why walk into a gun fight? Are you a pimp/drug dealer?

Hope you wear full body armor when you go out to your gunfight, without it you’ll be dead in seconds. Won’t matter whether you have a single pistol or several rifles on you.

  • @Glock24Guy Anyway, I’d take it. To say they are useless is silly – could save your life. If they're useless, then why do you brag about carrying 1 or 2 with you? Ah-ha...you can’t hide the 12 ga in your pants can you? Then a pistol does serve a purpose, even though it’s not perfect in every situation.

  • @Glock24Guy

Will your gunfight be at 400 or 600 yds? No of course not - most trouble will be at close range. So a pistol is ideal - easy to carry, holds sufficient ammo and reloads are quick.

Yes - if they break into my house – then I go for the 12 ga pump. But I can’t carry it or a Garand with me everyday.

I’m being reasonable, you’re thinking about old western movies you have seen. Be realistic...life isn't just like an old Gary Cooper or Clint Eastwood movie.

  • Glock24Guy - I deleted your comment by mistake.....

@nashi55 OK, so you start out, KNOWING you are going to be in a gun fight.

You are going to take a handgun?

    Get real

    Glock24Guy

  • tc0nk: Beretta in .357 Magnum, Gracie?

I really want to see that gun!

OH, in case you don't understand, Beretta doesn't make a .357 Magnum.

  • I'd like a .357 magnum. Either Beretta or Ruger.

  • @tc0nk

    Beretta in .357 Magnum, Gracie?

I really want to see that gun!

OH, in case you don't understand, Beretta doesn't make a .357 Magnum.

  • helpful video w/ great advice. thumbs up

  • I work at a federal prison. I know many, many inmates with .380 or 9mm holes in them. I know one inmate with a .40 caliber hole in him. I don't know any inmates with a .45 caliber hole in them. You figure out what's the most effective self defense round. Go big. My Glock 23 also fits all my Glock 26 holsters. My 23 lives with me. My 26 lives in the laundry room next to the back door.

  • @yankeejib Sure it's 44 magnum or 50 caliber!!

Okay...my point was that 9mm is a good all around cc choice - more rds, smaller pistol, less exp ammo, less recoil. Buy the right ammo for 9mm and it will serve you well. If you want a larger 45 acp rd, that's fine. Each person should decide what's best for them. All involve compromises - pick one that suits you best.

  • @yankeejib I'd say the thought that the 45 acp is the magical one shot man stopper is wrong - person can survive a hit from it too. Shot placement is key- where were the inmates shot? Did 9mm/380 stop them from completing the crime or attacking another person? If so, then it did it's job. That's what's most important, keep the person safe by stopping the threat & allow them to get away. My G26 holds 12 rds - can they attack me after 12 good 9mm hits? How about one in the head? We'll disagree.

  • @nashi55 I think you've got it right on. Another reason yankeejib would see a lot of 9mm survivors in prison is sheer statistics: there are a zillion more 9mm pistols out there than .40's or .45's these days.

  • @roentgen571 Glad we can agree! 9mm isn't perfect either, it's a good all around choice for cc.

  • @nashi55 I'm planning on applying for a CCW permit, and I'll probably get a subcompact Glock. The Beretta .380s look very nice, too...

  • @roentgen571 i agree i love the glock 26 9mm and the pearce grip that come with it

  • @yankeejib I love my FNP-45 - but not everyone can handle a larger or small 45. Carrying it is harder due to size & weight, so that's why I mentioned the 9mm as a good choice. It has compromises too.....

  • I put Williams firesights on mine. Big improvement. I pocket carry , with a Blackhawk holster, size 4. Looks identical to that one, but its seems to be marked Uncle Mikes. I took the mag extensions off to reduce the height by .5 inch. I carry a G17 mag in the opposite pocket. Mine has been flawless so far.

  • I think that gun is huge for a concealed carry gun. But that's just me, I'm a little skinnier than most so a glock might not be a good fit for me.

  • @swiftcoyote Have you looked at the kel-tec pf-9? It holds 7+1, and is a lot thinner. Cheaper too.

  • Nice vid! Thanks for posting.

  • I have a quick question for you do you feel ok having a round chambered I have a 27 and im looking for a holster for it

  • @edog355 Im not sure who you were asking, but Ill answer. You almost have to carry with a round in the chamber. On the Glocks, there is no external safety, but as long as you keep your finger away from the trigger, you should be ok. As for a holster, that would depend on how you plan to carry. I keep mine in a pocket holster.

  • @rb2112002 ya i know im just looking for a good holster not just some cheep one i have no problem carrying one in the chamber i just don want the holster to be a problem thats it

  • @edog355 Look at the Galco Classic light. Nice, but not really expensive.

  • Great choice. You couldnt of bought a better CC .not knocking other guns I have many but I always pick my G26 to CC on my hip

  • i love the baby glock i have a 27 i just like the .40 s&w over the 9mm good video

  • How do you like the holster? Any suggestions on IWB ones?

  • @screamineagle91 Well the sales guy carried a G27 and recomended it. He used the same one. It's a tight fit, but works fine. Only concern at first was pulling out the whole holster with the pistol. It's looser now after some use. It's an uncle mikes.

  • @hayesman 380 or anything larger means smaller and larger:)

  • I originally bought an XD9 Service, which is negligibly larger than a G19, thinking it'd be good for home defense, SHTF, and concealed carry as it was "compact." However, I think sub-compact is about as big as you wanna go for every day concealed carry, unless you live somewhere that you wear parkas year-round. So I bought a Kel-Tec PF-9, which has been a dream to carry, so I'm thinking maybe I can go a little bit bigger and handle the 26 in the winter time and when concealability and comfort

  • @wcropp1 aren't paramount. With a G19 magazine and grip sleeve you can basically make the 26 a G19--can't make the 19 a 26 though. I'll probably end up getting a .380 at some point too, as sometimes pocket carry is nice, but the price of that cartridge has kept me away from it so far. The extra punch a 9mm packs is nice as well. But the Kel-Tec is a little big to be "ideal" for pants pocket carry. Jacket pocket, no problem. Cargo pocket it starts "swinging" a little too much for me, but it works

  • @wcropp1 in a pinch. I guess it basically comes down to how much I like IWB vs. pocket carry, and how much difference I notice IWB between the 26 and the PF-9. Thanks for your insight.

  • Thanks for putting up this well-filmed video review of the G26!

However, at about the 1:15 mark in the video you seemed to suggest that the .380 is larger than the 9mm. I just wanted to point out that 9mm is actually a slightly larger round than the .380 acp.

  • @hayesman76 Thanks, glad you thought it's pretty good.

Actually that's not what I meant, & I don't hear it that way. My meaning was - I didn't want a less powerful round like the .380 or a larger rd with more recoil in a small pistol. Perhaps it could have been clearer though....

  • 26 matches well with those 135 pd hydrashoks

  • Good solid review. The G26 is a great little workhorse. It does it all. Plus it's a Glock so it'll work when it needs too. Show your friends your Kimber, show your enemies your Glock.

  • good advice on renting a gun. I was going to buy a kimber ultra carry until I rented one at my local range. did not like the muzzle flip. I own a Kahr k9 for concealed carry.

  • it's really tough to conceal in the summer with a t-shirt on (unless you're wearing a XXL shirt, like those large white tees rappers wear). this gun will print in a IWB holster, agree that this gun is as large as you want to go in terms of everyday conceal carry. best position to hide this for me is in the pocket, looks like you've got an Uncle Mike's holster there, but that prints in my chinos (the grip)
