Nice video.Don't like the shirt. Does people like you "clever, sexy and black" feel
they are in the wrong shoes or worse position because of skin colour?-Sadly the answer is yes. Maybe another two or three generations will evolve together with different environment and with no tshirts saying" white girls are best!" or" black girls are best!".
My daughter is a Jewish Japanese: 0.00000001% of the population; her hair is as curly as yours is; Japanese women spend up to $1,000.00 a year for such a head of hair; and what did she do?; she had it straightened; now that she is 14 she is getting used to being different and is going natural
I asked so many black women for dates when I was single, but they turned me down;
@MrCaptainComfort hmm.. were u asking the ghetto black girls for dates or the ons more like me and the girl in the video... becuase.. the ghetto one have a problem with interracial dating, the others dont. Trust me, what are u?? asian?? asians are sexy to the max lol. I wouldnt have turned u down ;-) you would have been hooked on me
Adria - I'm a WordPress developer and have come across your name twice today on separate WP related searches. This video was on your site and I was compelled to take a look. You are my new favorite awesome person!!!
I love the confidence and positive message you delivered in this video. Although I'm neither a woman or black, I am a father of 4 young children - 3 girls and a boy - who struggle in their own insecurities. Thanks for sharing such an authentic and personal message.
@softrealtydude Hi there. Well thank you so much for sharing your story and how this video makes you feel! It's wonderful to hear! You're right, the real issue is feeling good about yourself the way you are. That's why I love technology; it empowers people to realize their true potential! Yay for WordPress. Yay for self-esteem. Yay for confidence! Thank you ^_^
I bought that shirt a few years ago on a trip to L.A. I was doing a college exchange program, and I was the only black person in my entire class, and it was definitely made known that I was the only one. When I came across this shirt, I was so happy and I proudly wore it the entire time I was there and I still wear it proudly today because it is so damn true!
I got it from the Goodwill. You know how when you're shopping, you end up talking to other shoppers? Well, that happened to me and then the nice lady came over with her friend and said, "We saw this shirt and thought it would fit you. Not sure if it would fit our nieces. What do you think?" I thought it was awesome! Stuff like that happens to me all the time. Sorry, I would Google for the shirt and maybe it's available somewhere. Let me know!
@cthreetv I got that same shirt from Urban Outfitters about 2 years ago (wore in my Twist-out video), but Adriarichards looks in better condition!! :)
finding who we really are is not a simple task, it's a long way which leads to an internal exploration of both itself and our soul; told that, your hair style is simply amazing and it makes your face beatiful and your eyes bright.
Hetep and Respect Adria, Important Culturally Healthy video. I see you have found the antidote to image poisoning regarding hair, a subset of Cultural Poisoning.
Thanks for sharing your transition.
Hart and health is a good focus, I will show this to my daughter. I added it to my YT playlist under cultural health and I added it the Cultural Heath 101 Club Vlog.
finding who we really are is not an easy task and it's a long path which leads towards an interior research to reach a personal equilibrium; a lot of people prefer to follow stupid stereotypes instead to find a proper well-being with itself.
told that, your hair is simply awesome! and it makes your face bright and exquisitely beautiful.
i love you

Wonderful; you are beautiful
You are a black-American; 15% of the population?
My daughter is a Jewish Japanese: 0.00000001% of the population; her hair is as curly as yours is; Japanese women spend up to $1,000.00 a year for such a head of hair; and what did she do?; she had it straightened; now that she is 14 she is getting used to being different and is going natural

You are so cool! I sent it to all the women I know!(with an email address :))

I sent this to my daughter. TY for such a great message! She is flat ironing at 13 even though she has soft, natural curls.
LOL I joked with her when she first flat ironed her hair:
"How very white girl of you"
.. in jest and in good humor
As women we always want the opposite of what we were given. Naturally curly wants straight hair and visa-versa.
TY for the message of acceptance.
This is never spoken loudly enough.
