  • The music is in Planet Terror.

  • SOLID SNAKE!

  • 28 Days later has nothing on this scene!

  • The Crazies...They're,uh...crazy!

  • Down right derranged if u ask me!

I wouldn't want to be stuck out at night with them roaming about!

  • Chock full o' Nutts

  • I think this is easily the best movie that filmed scenes in St. Louis

  • There we go good question///not until just yesterday and yes it's out there, the entire fucking sequence. BTW This is the best Escape From New York clip on youtube good shit it tore the plum off my ass

  • anybody ever seen the original opening were they rob a bank??? i heard its out there somewhere.

  • Yes, it's on the two disc special edition that was released by MGM in 2003. It only shows the scene, both with and without commentary. However, it is not integrated into the film itself.

  • You wife got eat!

  • thanks for posting.one of my favourite films.choc full o nuts,lol.

  • This is going to be America in a few years or less when the financial crisis hits bad, lol.

  • That would be so much fun... I kinda hope you're right!

  • It would be a break from the daily grind that we are all sick of.

Might be hard to get food, but at least there will be total freedom and no bills.

  • i dont think food would be a problem, i'd do what these guys do here, live in the subways and come out at night to eat people lol

  • Could you imagine Snake rescuing Obama?

  • I would love that! the twin towers are not there anymore, snake would have nothing to land on :(

  • Snake Plissken is bad ass enough to jump out of the glider and survive, lol. Boy, I really am starting to hope the world turns into a post-apocalyptic shithole.

Sure, I'll get internet cravings, but I can cure that with adrenaline from running around with an eye patch attempting to be badass (and probably getting murdered by tougher crims). Lol. ^^

  • lol, snake plissken fans should make a gang, me and u will lead lol

    cheers for the comment

  • Snake can land on the new World Trade Center, whenever it finally gets completed.

  • can u imagine Obama being the puppet who would cause a post apocalyptic scenario?

  • I saw it just two months ago its good film way better than steel dawn.

  • Chock full o nuts! Love the small things that make a film so rich, they just don't make em like they used too.

  • yes! a very quirky new york name, Thanks for the comment!

  • 2:38 Makes you wonder if Chock full o nuts refers to the old coffee house OR the prison and the people in it. GREAT film!

  • I think it means A prison Full O' Nutters!!

    XD

    thanks for the comment

  • Great scene, great movie.

I swear that music was reused in Planet Terror, a movie heavily influenced by John Carpenter's style.

  • the stores don't really carry a lot of old movies and some of those amazon dealers have emailed me saying they don't ship to Asia.

I've never seen this movie in any store here. I should've gotten it when I was stateside.

  • I wish I could get this movie in Singapore

  • o0 why cant you? :(

  • why does he remind me of rambo?

  • Ex-soldier, alternative vocal stylings, usage of big guns, explosions...the list is endless

  • this was before the rambo movies ;)

  • I know but still

  • best fucking movie ever

  • Amen!

  • hell yea!!!

  • Ha there had to be a cabbie. That was like the worst ghetto in the universe.

  • lol, yeh cabbie gets people out of bad situations alot in this film!

  • John Carpenter was great for a long long time.

  • This bit still creeps me out...

  • horrid isn't it...

  • It's actually the best scene in the movie.

Oh by the way. if you did not check your mail, I have given you Carpenter's agents phone number.

I was wondering can your give him a call & tell him bout my story?

  • yeah this part is really tense... the idea of the crazies coming from anywhere

  • yes, Up from the floor, windows, sewers...

    Creepy stuff

  • I was reading an article can't remember where but Kurt Russell was talking about EFNY and he said he credits Frank Doubleday (who played Romero) for setting the dark tone of the film

  • yes! he did for me anyway... Frank was also in Assault On Precinct 13!, in the origional script he was not called romero, but simply called "wierdo"

  • Yeah as the white hood, I remember the famous promo shot of him looking through that rifle scope. He was in Nomads too with Pierce Brosnan, great creepy flick

  • the first time i watched this i was stoney balogne and this scene scared the SHIT out of me...its just so fucking scary and moody...i love how you never really see any of the faces of the crazies just the weird way they run so they could be anyone and capable of anything....man, this is definietly one of my fav movies...good stuff

  • yeh i had to stop watching! so creepy! and then when the girl got pulled through the floor, my god that freaked me out because i was wondering what they would have done to her...eaten her i guess lol I would have like to have seen the gruesome face of a crazy! and they way they run! OMG like sewer rats scuttling around! this is one of my fave movies too! thanks for the comment!
