great blanka. I normally have trouble against abel but this showed me some tricks that might help me next time. BTW that super at the end would have won him the match by chipping if he held it and chipped when abel was blocking instead of going for it immediately.

Well the blanka was just really good and the Abel was constantly getting crossed up and couldn't figure out what to do since the Blanka was changing things up so much. Personally I do have some trouble with Abel sometimes. But this Blanka managed to get away from Abel's deadly combos.

how do you hop > super or hop > ultra? i understand you get enough time to charge if it's a xhop but how do you have enough time to charge it if its like the one at 3:25?

Charge partioning. The input is downback (2 secs)-> downforward+ 3 kicks-> back -> then forward + 3punches on the frame that he lands (it doesnt matter if it's a crosshop or not)

I've started playing Abel, and learning his bread n' butter combos is a lot of work. But once the FADC's become second nature, woo, that work pays off!

I've spend a lot of time in console training mode and in online matches. It took about a week of practice to become comfortable with Abel. Try FADC'ing the first rekka into low fierce for starters--not that hard, and it does nice damage. Good luck!
