So I just started college and I needed to get schooled up on this stuff so I can get all my classes up to college level. I just started math 95 and I always never could understand this stuff in high school. So I wanted to say I really appreciate your teaching method. I really get it and I really appreciate it as well keep up the great work.!!!!!!
Ok i wanna know how to tell which number is the square root of the other. At the end you said c= 5 square roots of 2 how do you tell whoch numbet has the radical. Somebody answrr that please
In the last problem, you had the measurement of the base. What if you had basically the same set up of the 45-45-90, but you had the measurement of the hypotnuse, not the base. The base and altitude would be congruent, but how would you solve for them? Thanks.
three more examples of that idea vicky the square root of 45 can be reduced... 45 = 9 x 5. 9 = 3 x 3. so 3 x 3 x 5 = 45. 9 has a perfect square of 3, so take 3 out of the square root of 45 leaving 5 inside, thus 3 times square root 5 is the answer. One more ... square root of 48. 48 = 6 x 8. 2 x 3 = 6. 2 x 2 x 2 = 8. 2 pairs of 2... 2 x 2 equals 4.. thus 4 times square root of 3 is the answer... check the answer 4 x 4 = 16 and 16 x 3 = 48... so 4 times sq root of 3 is the same as sqrt 48
On my 3rd time watching, I stayed w/ you right til the end. I don't understand why it's 5 square root of 2. Why isn't it 2 times the square root of 5?
I'm thinking of the simplifying radicals module. Doesn't that apply here?
ok if you have the square root of fifty, there is a need in geometry to simplify terms... the way to simplify the square root of fifty is to see what inside of the square root is a perfect square... the way to do this is to just break fifty into all its muliples and then match pairs.. 50 = 25 * 2 and 25 = 5 * 5... so 5 x 5 x 2 = 50... 5 x 5 is 25 x 2 is 50. 5 x 5 is a perfect square... so take it out of the square root... 5 times sq root 2... is the simplest term answer
Awesome videos..i always watch them...btw, Pythagoras did not invent a religion...he was a philosopher...he was like the first philosipher...he actually invented the word philosopher....not a religion....
other than that...i enjoy your videos because i learn a lot from them. I just happen to know a little bit about pythagoras..anyways..i appreciate the videos u make..

I'm kind of having trouble with the square roots, or radicals. I don't really understand how to algebraically solve for x using square roots? :S
