  • the music reminds me of educational videos teachers played us in elementry

  • Or use bread it's just as effective, I'll post a vid of my friends and I catching trout on bread

  • I will stick to flies, spinners, and eggs...but idk if you like this then use it..lol

  • We only use that crap on those trout fishing farms ( you know, where you pay to fish and then end up with 5-7 fish, by far not as beautifull as real fishing in mother nature but it has its quality ) You dont catch anything with it unless the fish is starved or bred I think

  • love this stuff, good for rainbows!

  • berkley gulp power sperm?

  • @mikemac2004 lol, just what I was thinking.

  • this stuff is a fucking waste, i catch all my trout on lures. never caught anything on it, never buying it again.

  • Ive never caught a thing o that stuff. Just use a size 6 barbless egg hook on the same type of rig, and float the bait off the bottom with a minature marshmallow. place a worm on the hook. You will catch far more fish than those methods and its cheaper too.

  • bullcrap trout mouth are small are you sure your catching trout because old people have old timer

  • ya dip head fly fishing is the way to go for trout orange blobs again dont look like bugs they just smell funny.

  • hey this accually works

  • will this work in stocked rivers

  • @dylan1094 better than the wild i've found here in stocked ponds in canada :of course i guess it's better than the cheap pellets most of them are feed at the parks lol!

  • @Denominator9411 Trout eat eggs as they drift dowstream when they spawn because they are cannabalistic. When they are in pre-spawn they automatically start looking for anything that resembles an egg and salmon eggs look good and are treated with various brines to make them hold on to the flavor longer. Hatchery trout are reared in a temperature controlled environment where they are fed heavily and remain in spawning mode constantly so anything egg looking is a good choice for planters.

  • thats not a caterpillar. thats a lump of shit!

  • 2:08 rod fail

  • LOL @ 2:05 Hahahaha bye bye rod

  • what size hook should I use for trout fishing if I want to catch and release. I've only been fishing a few times and would generally use a treble hook since I would keep them. But now I want to catch and release more cuz all the women I go fishing with get their feelings hurt.

  • Wow it works!! fish for2.5 hours then went to mouse caught the fish. constant strikes !!!What Im telling what was another uneventful day turn into a break through day for presentation! Thankyou! Just add trout. 16 f 12 mph winds not a comfortable day some men fishing while sitting in thier car!!

  • yes use more why not put a hole tub on them make a 20cm worm

  • Use more dough so you spend more money .

  • Comment removed

  • dude use power bait and if u want to learn how to mold it better and use less check out my vid

  • i've used this stuff for years and only when i am desperate. Never caught a trout with it. and the only reason it works is because it floats. garbage compared to roe!!!

  • The only fish interested in something like that is stupid hatchery fed trout fresh off the truck. I have never caught a natural breeding rainbow with this crappy dough bait. Although berkley's power eggs have worked for me. It's much more fun fishing with a fly rod, or even a small rapala or spinner.

  • @crackparty

True, but in a lot of areas, hatchery trout is all that's available. Not everyone can go to places where wild trout live.

  • the regular crappie nibbles shit they sell at walmart works jus as good you know

  • this kind of advertising is laughable...it is almost as bad, perhaps worse by way of weight, than Monster brand HDMI cables. both of which are a RIPOFF.

  • your right

  • lol the "mouse" looks like a sperm cell!! :P

  • This type stuff is good when trout are released from the hatchery and are hungry, in a strange environment and used to everything hitting the water to be feed. I visited a trout hatchery in Mountain Rest, SC and was watching as trout were released in a stream by it, the waiting crowd slaughtered them, a lot with power bait, but also with crickets, worms, corn, etc.

  • for trout you dont need that crap all what you need are jigs i have tried that vs jigs and the jigs wasted. so that stuff is a waste of money and time

  • How much is power bait in Canada?????

  • What happened to the good ol' days of just fishing with a worm?

  • I highly doubt the man who wrote the book on trout fishing uses berkley powerbait when there are so many other good things for cheaper. (It works good, but it's overpriced)

  • Oh boy a way to use MORE BAIT, Thanks!

  • this stuff works especially the green

  • Comment removed

  • The Gulp! "Caterpillar"!!

It only takes half of the dough in that expensive tiny jar!

    Natural bait ftw

  • Bate fishing trout is for rookies.

  • fishguru73 is completely right.

  • the rod go boom

  • that stuff works no better than shit

  • ROFL, anyone else see the rod fall over?

  • Only Idiots using Powerbait let their rod fall over during their advertisement...Go set the hook with that cacoon.

  • 2:006 oops :3

  • Is it me or does this guy sound like Kermit the frog? The intro to this Vid is too long..and the bait sucks! ~Homemade dough baits rule!

  • @Dreamster121 oh shit lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • had already try this stuff in lake and can't catch any fish instead i use worm and caught few nice rainbow trout. I find it hard to fish with it.

  • how should i fish using powerbait if im fishing in a river? should use a bobber or a sinker?

  • i just got some powerbait trout bait floating stuff is it a dough to i got the fl orange color.

  • youll catch some fish !

  • Over here in Belgium many people use powerbait.

They catch with it but I can't?

With some mealworms I outcatch everyone.

  • Put Mooore on so you have to buy mooore

    smart berkley smart

  • Bait fishing is gay... and people that bait fish have no skills.

Cast out and wait for a fish to bite it? How fucking boring is that?

  • haha

  • u need to make a spoon form

  • Power Bait is shitty.. It just ends up floating around on the surface where ducks choke on it. Notice in the video too where he recommends you use more than usual.. of course!! They want you to go through your bait jar faster and buy more... so stupid. Once I learned how good Thomas Bouyants work I never went back to stupid bait fishing.. it's boring and for people that don't know how to fish

  • it works as good as nightcrawler. in fact..... i use a power ball and power worm together. works AS GOOD as power bait. i don't even have to replace the bait when i catch one. it floats and trout will hit it. i even had a 7 pound catfish hit it sometimes.... with 4 lb. P line !!! lol

but you know what's stupid ? commercial catfish bait. wtf is that mann.. use cut bait, mealworms, shrimp, chicken liver THEN dip it into that stinky commercial dip. if it's hard, add water to it and cover it good (:

  • this video is WEAK!!! Pick up a fly rod and stop using bait you douche bags... go back to your trailer homes

  • shut uppppppppppppp

  • Hi , i used powerbait and gulp dough a lot and catched a lot of trouts 2.

But how come only trout in lakes want this bait when i fish in the river with it i get zero bites...

  • i've heard it only works well on captivity bred fish, not natural? This may explain if the lake is a stocked lake?

  • ok, thats true...i understand that but how come in the river they take plastic bait (twisters) and not the dough?Anyway i cant think like a fish...

  • You are better off using inflated nightcrawlers or earthworms... Never underestimate the mighty worm!

  • VERRRY true! catch 90% of my fish on a worm. the other 10 percent on a fly (not much of a fly fisherman yet.)

  • mealworms worm very good too

  • i tried what ha did when you mold it as a kukon and it works a lot better then a ball

  • Pardee Res, the line of old retirees... Old man says "green power bait. Ain't gonna catch nothin' without green power bait." I put on a Pardee cocktail, 5 mins l8r I have a 3 lb trout in the net. Old man asks "whatcha catch him on?" I said "It sure as hell wasn't green power bait."

    Too funny.

  • lol at 2.10

    his rod falls over...

    stupid yank

  • read 1st paragraph below: Therefore, if they can holm in tiny flies in fast water, it does not take a huge gob of that shit to get their attention. Here is what works best. Use the same rig presented here but use 3-4 ft of 4lb. fluorocarbon, a no.18 owner treble, and use the bare minimum it takes to make it float. Bait way off the bottom is visible from a greater distance. Berkely hired this clown to get you to use more of this expensive crap faster so you can go buy some more.

  • @fishguru73 ur fuckin right mane

  • This video is a load of shit. Most of a trout's diet consists of tiny bugs and not big orange blobs. The sheer attraction in any scented floating bait is created by utilizing color to draw trout from a distance to investigate and then tasting a burst of yummy flavor when striking. Trout can see to hit flies as small as mosqitoes in fast water on a moonless night and anyone who fly fishes knows that you have to use close imitations and natural presentations to make them strike.

  • @fishguru73 you seem experienced with fishing. ur right both gulp and power bait never work for me i put it right in front of there faces and they went the exact opposite way. BULLSHIT..

  • @daneboy502 Yes dough baits do work and Berkely, in my opinion, makes the best.. If you know when and how to apply them and which brands, scents, colors, and presentations work best they can actually be deadly. What I was getting at is that huge gobs of bait can actually turn fish off because most of what they eat is small. Read the second paragraph I posted and you'll know how to use dough bait. By the way; green, orange, yellow, or combinations of those colors usually work the best.

  • @daneboy502 Sorry to say it but you are a fishing newb. News flash. When there is glassy calm water in the middle of the day you are under a high pressure ridge and the barometric pressure bearing down on the water's surface makes the fish feel like they have a 30 lb. weight tied to their tails. Add that to the fact that they can hit mosquitoes in fast water after dark and you are throwing gobs of green crap at them when they are looking subtle, natural presentations Get a fly rod and learn.

  • @fishguru73 i can agree wit you on tht but i have caught tons of trout off of this bait but i understand wht you are saying

  • @tmakidd0703 If you use just enough to make the hook float then you will get better results. Huge gobs of Power Bait can be nipped off without any danger of meeting the hook. A trout's diet consists of 75% bugs and since they can see and analyze what you are throwing at them when using green gobs of UFO crap it is best to keep the presentation small and subtle as you can be with bright colors.

  • @fishguru73 ok yes i understnad wht you ware saying but when i fish for trout with this stuff i dont glob it on like he does i just put a lil on the end of my trout lures so it has a sent

  • @fishguru73 well trout are a very teratiol and aggressive fish so they might attack it and that's how you get the bite

  • @SuperXmichaelx Trout aren't always aggressive and they can be quite finicky and selective. Their tendency toward being territorial is only evident in rivers and streams where they have to compete for the best lies and feeding lanes. Think about it. If fish are being territorial then their aggression is toward other fish, not colored dough baits.

  • @fishguru73 but sometimes they use the attraction of brownish colored lures to make it look like hatchery pellets which to me is rather cheap

  • @gorillaz2424 Well that's true but let's face it; hatchery raised fish are used to seeing people and feeding on big gobs of high protein foods so they are much easier to catch.... and that is the point in their introduction. Hatchery rainbows are rarely selective about what they eat and this makes them a good target for the average 2 or 3 day a year anglers that usually don't catch very many fish.

  • @fishguru73 Shut up dude... I just want to catch and eat fish. Not make them feel like the situation is "real". Pull your fishing pole out of your ass.

  • @NGUKNUCKS I have 20 years experience as an avid fisherman, am currently writing a book on trout fishing, and have been a fly-fishing guide. I don't need fishing tips from a punk kid but if I need advice on how to make an idiotic asshole of myself on YT I'll be sure to ask you.

  • @fishguru73 seems like you don't need any help to make an ass out of yourself on YT comments.

  • @fishguru73 seems like you don't need any help to make an ass out of yourself on YT comments. it reminds me of a joke about winning the special olympics.

  • @fishguru73 Not true, that only applies to indigenous trout, which is now close to none. This stuff is extremely close to the material that they are fed in the hatchery before they are stocked. They eat it like candy. get your facts in order before you call somebody's video a piece of shit. I've had great success with this.

  • @flipafloppin I take that back. i didnt see that part where he put a freakin pound of it on the hook. Im sorry.

  • @flipafloppin same her man this stuff is hela bomb

  • heck..we'll give it a try

  • the trout in lake jennings (east county san diego) love the neon green gulp dough. i catch my limit (5) in less than 40 minutes. good stuff.

  • really? is it a crowded lake?

  • really i didnt catch anything for 5 hours haha

  • wat is the best color to use because i see alot of videos that use only orange and yellow but i never see like blue and red so which color works the best

  • Tried the mouse out today out of curiosity and it worked pretty good. I'll use it again.

  • hey could someone anwser me, is this berkley gulp dough the same as power bait? please someoine anwser, i want 2 kno

  • Gulp have more sence

    Gulp smell more

Powerbait is a real good bait but Gulp taste more.

  • yeah

  • this guy was right about the mouse thing. 3 different lakes this setup kicks ass. must try!

  • this's fucken useless sorry bro i just had to say that lol.

but really the bait thing sucks lol.

  • very nice...thx;D

  • haha is it just me or is this retarded? just ways for you to use more of it so you have to buy more.

  • its just you cuz this does work i get a bunch of trout with this

  • That caterpilar think was the funniest thing Ive ever heard.

Just expend more buy more fly fish dont mess arround with cheating

  • Umm, didn't Berkley have Power Bait? That's a dough bait.

  • thank you you really helped me with my trout

    fishing=)

  • dude u must be pro knowing all that

  • these products do work. I used the crapie pellets and thats all i caught on them was crappie no bluegill or nothing. I am going trout fishing and i am going to try this tommorrow and see if the gulp dough works just as great a the crappie pellets.

  • haha 2:10 the rod says i 'm gone

  • perch you would need meal worms or earthworms, trout chicken liver or corn or nightcrawlers, pike you need bright colored jerkbaits, spinners ,big topwater baits, big buzzbaits

  • true but i caught a whole bunch of browns on small spinners

  • Very very true it can be done its a good method pending on were u fish at. The way our forage is set up on our river the main thing they feed on is shad live shad ,shad raps, husky jerks, usually lands u some big ones. Even caught em on chicken liver before

  • yup true i fish a river where they feed on small perch and small bluegill and such i never used chicken liver but i will in the spring when the stock it again but i have caught a 19 inch brown with a small spinner and a 17 with a bigger

  • i bought this shit and couldnt catch anything on it so i took a box of liver one day and landed 20 trout over 5lbs browns and rainbows

  • powerbait is very good, i cought many rainbow trout's on powerbait, how ever i like to fly fish cous of the action and the. but ill give this mous a try. normaly i just roll the powerbait up on a trehook with a spring on så i has a tail or wormy like look and i does work.

  • what a joke... notice it shows no fish being caught. wow...

  • no, the other day i caulght 7 fish with power bait

  • i agree with you, you do not have to youse more. Its like hes trying to hard. c",)

  • ie caught a ton on this on the cumberland river

  • I caught bluegill with anything

  • is this good for farm raised trout?

  • yeah, for stalked fish, attatch two hooks and and a large bomb sinke at the bottom, cast it to the middle of the lake (if it's a small stalked lake) and wait

  • i used those once, they kinda dissovled. Just make your own and i caught a fish with cheese once lol.

  • selling product on youtube what an asshole!

  • Yeah, use more so you'll have to buy more!!!

  • Congratulations slicknick420 you are a poacher. The limit is designed to protect the fisheries. If a officer saw you do that it would be a nice ticket.

People get off your catch and release horse, trout that take powerbait are put and take hatchery fish. It's still fun and if you don't like soaking bait then do your own thing...

  • i just use 3 peaces of differnt couler power bait ooo] somehting like that and it seems to work alright

  • The "power mouse" technique works, 1 month ago I tried it at my local lake and caught 8 ,kept my limit and gave away 3 to a family off shore. But I also caught them schooling. I used rainbow powerbait with a chartuse power worm on a gamakatsu size 8 hook, the dough doesnt stay on all the time , so using a treble would be best. Light line flourocarbon #4, with small sinker. Good luck ,rock on, and Fish Hard

  • Great.... powerbait. You gotta be stupid to not catch trout with powerbait. Learn to use lures and you'll catch much better fish then the hatchery trout that powerbait catches....

  • the mouse looks like a tadpole... i should try that out!

  • He's suggesting using treble hooks for a bait that lends itself to deep-hooking??? So much for catch and release...

  • he said in urban areas and in california...which means 100% of the trout that are in the lake are stocked...so really stock fish doesnt require catch and release because more will be stocked...

  • Berkley 4 ever

  • nice! he messed up tho.his rod fell!haha!

  • not really he still had it on the line

  • Hi speed:

Very informative videos. I used to love river fishing myself - boats or falling off docks - I don't like ocean or lake fishing. I still have all my gear - Diawa. I tried fly fishing but caught myself. See you later cutie. Seahag (West Coast)
