  • why the fuck would i come to a VIDEO website to see some pictures

  • where is matt damon on this list

  • Comment removed

  • jona lomu!!!!!

  • 1.) LOMU

    2.)O driscoll

no more needs to be said

  • brian o driscol numba 1

and for fuck sake martin johnson is just a brick not a rugby player

  • lol dont compar N°6 or 8 or 9 :10 or 11...

  • Jason Robinson was robin before the english saw his talent.

Jonah Lomu was one of the most feared with the ball but I can't say he IS THE BEST of all time. And I am from New Zealand, Wellington for that matter.

If jonah has kept playing instead of getting the kidney failure, he would definitely be one of the top players ever.

You see jonah with the ball, nek minnit someones flat on their arse under his powerful legs.

It was mainly his technique to run anyone who tried to get in his path.

  • bro wat about *Jason Robinson* (Wing) for england

  • 2 things-first of all , i came here to see a video not a slideshow secondly , jonah lomu...fuck you you welsh cunt

  • never heard of GARETH EDWARDS before. lol he must be a cartoon character lol

  • @skuckzy the best player of all time, no doubt

  • mute

  • Bro I could bet that top ten with just NZ reps.

  • hugo porta is the best player in the wordl

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO...ROFLLLLL..LMFAOOOOO

  • @DiscoStu1233 Wilkinson has half the skill of Dan Carter

  • go fecking driscoll

  • Lomu is the best.

  • Where the fuck is Jhonny Wilkinson!!??? best fly half EVER!!!

  • Y HUGO PORTA

  • im italian and i think sergio parisse is up there

  • sorry, i was under the impression that youtube was for videos, my bad

  • George Gregan is rubbish compared to Gareth Edwards the greatest player to ever grace a rugby field

  • Where is Habana? And Wilkinson?

  • @claudio006 this is the top 10 not top 30

  • My 10 year old cousin could make a better presentation than this shit. And he also knows that ten is written like this 10, not like this !0 from what I see in your description.

  • COLIN "pinetree" MEADS!!!!!!!!!

  • best player is colin meades but the rest is all mixed

  • I think it is wrong here. It is impossible to compare players of different positions. In my view, for example, the number 10 is the core of the team. and this list does not look great Hugo Porta (the Maradona of rugby), considered the best opening of all time. Greetings from Argentina

  • the players are crap

where is goerge gregon and stephen larckem

  • Garath Edwards thats acttuly Gerald Davis

  • No Video footage?

  • You need tana umaga and wher is will genia

  • Where are Tana Umaga and Daniel Carter ? And Jonny Wilkinson ?

  • Song???

  • I can't believe no-one is mentioning Mark Ella. Yeah - Zz Brooke, John Eales, Christian Cullen, Campo, even Johnny W - respect. But Mark Ella - guys ... come on! Have we all been watching the same Rugby code for the last 40 years?

  • Did you draw this video?

  • I know It's all subjective but you can't seriously tell me that Barry John and Johny Wilkinson are not in this company. Do me a favour!

  • Why does every video have gay music?

  • @TheDevindevin I think you'll find this is very close to Will Carling's Top Ten. Also the poll taken some years ago for i think the telegraph.

  • Where's Joost van der westhasen

  • Jona Lomu is well the best and im Irish. You are obviously welsh

  • @MrAmazingfish the person who made this is irish check it on his profile

  • @toffser Do you stalk his page?

  • @MrAmazingfish im irish too and jonha lomu was the best and my favorite was brian o driscoll aka:BOD

  • @MrAmazingfish nah your wrong gareth edwards is

  • @MrAmazingfish Mate have you ever seen Gareth Edwards back in his time?

  • @Lewylewyloo HAVE YOU SEEN JONA LOMU?????

  • where is johnny wilkinson

  • Lomu was a great offensive player, first super star rugby has ever seen, but no way as skillfull a player as the likes of Sella,Callum, Joost, his defensive skills were pretty average to say the least .Respect to the man he still made rugby a eve popular sport thanx to him . id prob rate him in top 10 for his contrabution but no way number 1

  • No Zinzan,Joost,Eales and Horan ?? prob need to make a top 20 then

  • Gareth edwards? no way, Campese and Michael Jones easily 1 and 2

  • @IndrasBlade77 Ithink the list is in no particular order, but there is a serious omision. THE GREAT BARRY JOHN.

  • Where was the greatest fly-half of all time? Barry John?

    Sort it out!

  • @LoveHeartsAndDrama That honour belongs to Dan Carter

  • @goldenbwoy52

I really think not. Barry John!

  • @LoveHeartsAndDrama I agree, you can't leave out the greatest of them all-KING BARRY JOHN. By the way I'm English.

  • your biggest problem was gavin a wales player as number 1

  • @CannonMan08 On their way to semi finals in this world cup. Probaby make finals. Its funny how because they are a bunch of white guys from the north it is thought they might suck at rugby. Owell time will tell.

  • @CannonMan08 Well not really. Wales are a great rugby nation. Infact it would be a hard choice for me as I think there are easily 5 Welsh players, current/former that could claim number one. Gareth is probably the right choice though!

  • @LoveHeartsAndDrama There has to be a place for Barry John. THE GREATEST. Also Johny Wilkinson would figure.

  • @TheHughes56

Of course, and I didn't want to seem Wales bias but oh well, if Gareth is number one, Barry has to be number two!

  • Ever heard of Mark Ella? Christian Cullen? Zinzan Brooke? Jean Pierre Rives? Ken Catchpole? Enrique Rodriguez? Phillipe Sella? Tim Horan? Syd Going? John Eales? Yea - I thought not.

  • @Fuzcapp Yes, but there are only 10 places and the list is subjective and therefor a matter of opinion. My 1st choice would always be Barry John.

  • Comment removed

  • BOD??? clearly number 1

  • wow missed tana umaga carlos spencer christian cullen, jonah should be first

heaps more mccaw carter conrad smith, you get the idea

  • Carter and McCaw needed. If your a sceptic then say this is a list of the best taking into account their era, IMO Lomu has to be no.1. He turned the game upside down, changed forever our concept of a winger and almost single handedly destroyed quality teams...which in rugby is rare. In his prime he was truely unstoppable. Im a big O'driscoll fan, haven't been a lot of truely outstanding outside centres in the last couple of decades, but o'driscoll, sella and bunce IMO were the best.

  • shouldn't a top ten start at 10 and go to 1?.. just saying

  • If you had to coach a team to play a game for your life. Jonah would be the first selection you would pick.

I don't think he was the best footballer of all time. More a undeniable force of nature.

You cannot leave out McCaw and Carter. They have defined an era. For me would be 2 and 3.

  • Pretty sure Tana Umaga should be in there somewhere thats my opinion and jason robinson?

  • Jonah Lomu in the top ten?? I agree he was an absolute freak & terror to the opposition with ball in hand. However, he was lazy & useless on defence. Despite his offensive abilities, he never scored a try against the Spring Boks. Jonah Lomu is definitely the most recognised player world wide and has the best try ever, but he's not one of the 10 best rugby players. I'd struggle to put him in the top 100.

  • @FoulCanal In terms of monsters, he was the ultimate monster, but yeah, not the 4th best player of all time.

  • @FoulCanal well then clearly you're an idiot. Lomu was the most dangerous player in the world in his prime. To say he's not even top 100 is truly retarded.

  • @FoulCanal WOW! might be the dumbest comment in rugby history? Lomu brought alot of attention to the sport of rugby. He is the highlight reel of the sport, and you say hes not in the top 100? Your an idiot, did he screw your wife?

  • @123sactown let me guess...youre Lomu's gay lover to the rescue!? Good on you mate.

  • @123sactown hahaha 100% correct...LOL good reply

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe you should have said its your favourite best 10 players. Lomu may not have been the best allround player but he sure had the greatest impact on Rugby Union.

  • whoever put this list together was smoking da crack pipe at the time

  • best of all time is a bit wrong without Mark ella

  • que video de mierda, sos un hijo de puta !!!

  • (1st)gareth edwards

    (2nd)jonah lomu

    (3rd)brain o'driscoll more like

  • i'm born the same day as micheal jones :)

  • really??? steven larkham is way better than serge blanco

  • jeezus how is steve larkham not in there??

  • fuck off ur obviously from the uk u idiot.. fuckn every player in there should be an ab or george gregan and campese..

  • meAN music bro!

  • List sucks but Gareth Edwards should be first Lomu second

  • obviously your a ping pong fan....cause you know sweet f all about rugby greats, fool.

  • sorry but who puts it from best to worse? shouldn't it be a count down?

  • pff Lomu is the GOAT after you who you want

  • Lomu was the greatest winger of his time yes, but that's only because Lomu brought to the game something never before seen of a winger, which was pace and of course sheer size and power. We see a lot of that in wingers nowadays, players who can both combine pace and power. What I'm trying to say is that Lomu may have an edge over all other wingers, past and maybe future, I mean let's face it, there will never be another Lomu, but that does not make him the greatest by far, only by a little.

  • @MonkeyDWolf you can't deny though he could run through a whole team by himself i havn't seen anyone else capable of doing that

  • @SoWastedMusic true, I can't deny that at all. But that's because back then he was the only one of his size playing wing, that was his advantage, cause he was bigger than any other winger at the time, and usually faster. But you see a lot of big wingers nowadays, maybe not as good as Lomu, but they're more common now that back then. Put Lomu at his best in the rugby age of today; I reckon he wouldn't be as formidable. He'd still be the best of the lot, but not by far as he was in the 90s..

  • 2:57 of my life wasted!!! You are a MUG!!

  • COLLIN MEADS NUMBER 1 AND JONAH NUMBER TWO UR VIDS SH#!

  • Where's Hugo Porta?

  • did you record the sound with a fork?

  • was this filmed on a pop can?

  • Well intentioned but really dull..sorry

  • no Barry John, J PR Williams, Phil Bennet, Fergus Slattery, Willie John Mcbride, David Duckham,

  • Richie McCaw? Dan Carter? O.O

  • We are all partisan, it seems from the comments. Firstly, you can't judge one player against another from another period I think. To make a list like this one should ask what impact a player had at his particular time in history. I can't think of anyone who had the impact that Jonah Lomu had on a game. And I'm a Saffa. One can imagine Gareth Edwards being similar but I never saw him play, just from what I read. So many names put fwd just don't have anywhere near the same clout.

  • micheal jones didnt play on sundays this is why he shouldnt be in top ten amazing player beside that though

  • wheres wilkinson you spastic

  • LOMU is the best FOREVER AND EVER!!!!

  • @rafforca LOMU rules. Come on. All the other just motherfuckers.

  • Yeah, where's JPR? and Barry John.

  • Yeah, where's JPR? and Barry John.

  • JPR Williams????? where is he????

  • Jonah Lomu 4th ???? Wtf more like 1st

  • @hannahmckegg nah Gareth Williams was incredible, Lomu was a big guy but he wasn't skilful - just incredibly strong and effective.

  • @hannahmckegg i agree jonah lomu is a great rugny player but compared to gareth edwards he's shit. gareth edwards have been voted the greatest rugby player ever. johnah lomu should be 2

  • @hannahmckegg No, Gareth Edwards deserves first.

  • @hannahmckegg gareth edwards is the best player of all time. be quiet all blacks are shite. Wales to win rwc.

  • @hannahmckegg very wrong

  • @hannahmckegg no fucking garrath edwards you bitch he invented the spin pass

  • @kickassberrow Gareth Edwards is no.1 on the list. Wake-up.

  • @TheHughes56 he is better than him u daft fuck

  • @kickassberrow No need to be verbally abusive on this site. anymore and i will report you to the relevant authorities.Come and say your putdowns to my face. You can hide behind anon.sites and spew your filth but it will catch up with you. Do not e-mail me personally anymore.

  • @TheHughes56 wow im really scared lol

  • @hannahmckegg Jonah isn't the best All Black ever, or even the best All Black Wing ever..so no he shouldn't be 1st. I think Zinzan Brooke should be in there though and Hugo Porta. If the video was made today you'd have to consider Carter, McCaw and Wilkinson.

  • This could be one of the most bizarre lists I have seen I would perhaps agree with 1 person on there that is BOD. Where on earth is Barry John Fly Half, Brian Moore Hooker, Merhtans, you need to do this again. You have no doubt had some proper stick about this one.

  • Jonah Lomu is ALWAYS!! Going to be THE BEST player!

  • johnny Wilkinson worlds best fly half worlds best kicker how is he not on there ;s

  • @Pro13east because hes avreage compared 2 old fly halfs

  • @Pro13east Dan Carter is twice the player Wilkinson is, Hes overrated because he made one fucking piss easy drop goal in the rwc final yonks ago.. blah blah blah

  • @SEV3N420 Wilkinson is not over rated yer the drop goal 2003 was piss easy but was very important.

but johnny is amazing at every kick from 50m to 5m any were of the oitchs one sideline to the other. and he hits bloody hard when he tackles truly ll time champion. plus dan carter is awsome aswell

  • @Pro13east Wilko is a decent fly half but should not mentioned in the same sentence as people like phil bennet, merhtons, barry john. These guys were in a league of their own. NZ entered john into their hall of fame the only non NZ player

  • i will say that BOD is the best centre in the world right now. he is prolly one of the best centers ever but here is one thing. When All Blacks coaches pick their captain that player has to be considered the best player in their position in the world. So for every comment that anyone has made about how much they know rugby, i would take the opinion of an all black coach over anyone in this comment feed.

  • 1 Jonah Lomu man.....and take that song out, it REALLY sucks...

  • edwards clearly no.1 Proudto be welsh also shane williams best winger ever maybe lomu's a little better

  • awful top 10 .

  • plenty of others I would rate as better than some of ones listed... JPR Williams, Bill Beaumont, Thierry Lacroix, Nick Farr-Jones, Lawrence Dellalio, Gavin Hastings.. any of those, or others.

  • I'm an All Black supporter and I agree John Eales ahead of Johnson by a country mile, even Willie John McBride . Colin Meads deserves his place , he and many others near his era played at a time when New Zealand rugby players rucked there own players to get at the ball . Not like now things have softened up a bit .

  • missing one serious player there man...the man known as "nobody" Australia's most amazing player ever John Eales

  • O DRISSCOLL IS MY FAVOURITE PLAYER OF ALL TIME !!!!! and peter stringer!

  • Martin Johnson was a bluffer, an enforcer who bullied hookers and Standoffs, Ever see him take a swipe at an other 2nd row. Imagine him having a go at a thug like Botha, break that eybrow of his in two....WHo would you prefer John Eales or Me Forehead??

Good god the kiwis ar being their usual precious gits about Umaga......great player but by every knowledgeable persons opinion not as good as BOD. Ooooh that feels good

  • horse shit no john eales no shaun fitzpatrick. brian o'driscoll do me a favour.

  • Did you make this video with a clock?

  • I'd go with BOD as the best centre -- better than Umaga, But Christian Cullen was the most dangerous back of all time. Some British outfit once rated him as the best player in the world.. The best New Zealand centre was Bruce Robertson. Cullen, Meads, and Jones are the three All Blacks who should be in the top ten..

  • I'd rate John Eales over Johnson any day

  • no tenes idea del rugby

  • HUGO PORTA , NICK FAR JONES ?

  • Good balanced list here-BOD is an utter joke though- Umaga and Mortlock pissed all over him and I'd rate Fourie well above him today- who cares about Heinekin cup- it's test rugby where a man makes his reputation and BODs test career is patchty at best.

BTW I'm not kiwi or aussie- I'm English.

  • @notmemate BOD's the all time highest try scorer in the 5/6 Nations. Was instrumental in Ireland winning their first grand slam in 61 years, 3 times a Lions squad member (including once as captain) and voted the greatest player of the decade by Rugby World Magazine as well as player of the year once whilst nominated 3 times. Head to head with Umaga: Umaga gets a mate in to spear tackle him out of the game because he knew he wasn't good enough to last O'Driscoll's pace.

  • @Rufticus All those things are well and good (although fairly lightweight when compared against the achievements of the others on the video list) but there is really only one true way to be accepted as the best in your position- and that is to dominate all opposition and BOD never dominated Umaga or Mortlock ever - even once.

So how can he be really considered one of the top ten players when he couldn't even surpass his peers?

  • Not really big on these all time lists as the margins and generational gaps make comparisons almost impossible. However, Christian Cullen is the best and most natural runner i've ever seen. Used to glide across the ground. Honourable mention for Jean-Pierre Rives, Hugo Porta and WJ McBride. Their overall impact on the sport has to considered.

Rupeni could have easily made a list like this had he had a proper head on his shoulders and not weighed more than a prop for most of his career!

  • I would bump any of those guys off, no seat. I should be number One, bitches.

  • Jonah Lomu should be number 1

  • HAHA i laughed cause how shit this video is!

  • 1. Gareth Edwards 2. Colin Meads 3. Danie Craven 4. Cyril Towers 5. J.P.R. Willliams 6. Nick Farr-Jones 7. Sean Fitzpatrick 8. John Eales 9. David Campese 10. Michael Jones I know it's all kiwis and wallabies apart from 2 Welsh and one Saffa, I stand by that. Aus v NZ in the '90s was the best rugby ever, little surprise that that's where most of the best players ever come from.
  • Lomu ahead of Campese? Martin Johnson ahead of John Eales? No Nick Farr Jones or Ken Catchpole? Oh, and every aussie knows that Cyril Towers is the greatest centre of all time. Forget BOD, Umaga, Horan, Bunce, Lima etc....Towers invented the running game ffs. If not for him, umaga and BOD would still be running at a 45 degree angle, robbing their wingers of space.

  • wat country are you from?

  • ahhh your kidding me right. Where the fucks Dan Carter? Wheres Sonny-Bill williams? Wheres Piri weepu? tha fuck?

  • @Renee4REALZZZZ I'm a kiwi and I'd say your statement is stupid. Dan Carter is a great, although top 10 of all time? He's not even the best five eighths of all time, I have to admit Ella get's that one. SBW and Weepu wouldn't even rate in the top 10 today, SBW isn't even top 10 kiwis.

@mcnesta80 Nice of you to admit Johnson was better than Eales since your an aussie but don't under rate Eales, Them and Meads all have strong cases for best lock ever

  • @26aye1991 actually mate, I was asking the question. I was an 11 year old lock for the '91 world cup. John Eales is my all time hero, along with Steve Waugh (hard to split them). Lifting was introduced because Eales was too good for everyone. I'll never forget him mowing down Rob Andrew from behind at the death in the '91 final. And he kicked goals ffs. I think Eales was better than Johnson. I never saw Meads, but on reputation he's probably best. Nice one on Ella btw, wish he'd played longer.

  • @mcnesta80 Fair enough, obviously I read that the wrong way. Sorry about that. Yea the goal kicking is still something that impresses me. It is sad that Ella didn't continue his rugby, I may be wrong but I believe he retired at 25 or something like that, fantastic player

  • @Renee4REALZZZZ sonny bill????? tha fuck?! hes still a rookie!??!! shouldnt even be in the all blacks:)

  • We call Umanga the Predator because his defense was a brickwall and the pace he hits the line of defense was lethal. Brute force Umanga walked all over cry babe BOD.

  • BOD got nothing on umaga

  • i suspect tom rusty richards should be part of this list?

  • For me George Gregan is the best half back ever, and Im a kiwi so it hurts to admit it.I couldnt wait for him to retire he was a pain in the ass he was so good

  • no! farr-jones was much better.

  • @MrHobbs2

The main reason I choose Gregan was his speed at clearing the ball to the backs. He was much faster at this than Farr Jones.Just watch the world cup semi final when Aussie beat the all blacks, how the hell do you defend against an in form George Gregan

  • @Neddskorg He isn't in the top three for Australia. That's clearly Catchpole, Farr-Jones and Hipwell. All 3 had quicker service than the best of Gregan. When out of form (i.e. most of his tests as captain) Gregan was slow as a wet week, often taking 2 or 3 steps before letting go. With the way Genia is playing, Gregan will be lucky to make the top 5 aussie halfs. I can't believe Gregan is the best you've seen, you saw better last Saturday night in Brisbane (since you're a kiwi).
