Guinsoo (who works on LoL) took over after Eul and added tons of imbalanced heroes, filling the game with content - even if very little of it was actually any good.

Pendragon (who works on LoL) had nothing to do with making the map, he just made it popular

Icefrog (who worked on HoN) is the one who cleaned up Guinsoo's shit and made the game good. He's the one leading the project at valve for dota 2, and he's the one who has kept dota balanced and fun for years.
