I agree this being the best scene. It showed how vulnerable the actresses were and how willing they were to engage their emotions so honestly and boldly. If an actor is able to convey passion and hate all at once; that to me, is the essence of a true artist.

One of the most fierce breakup scenes ever! I don't think of it as 'semi rape' more like desperation on Bettes part to break through Tina's hurt and anguish,trying to keep her . That Tina slaps and bites Bette before allowing some angry breakup sex is just so unexpected and intense. I saw an interview w/Laurel who said JB is so muscular she had to ask her to let up so she could wrestle on top of her.They were both exceptional here.

I completely understand why this is her favorite scene. Its so raw and full of emotion. You get so involved with their characters that you forget they are real people just playing a part. It seemed real and it literally brought tears to my eyes. I believed in the storyline with such passion. I could feel Tina's hurt and anger. I could identify with her heartache and the feeling of being betrayed by the one person she trusted the most. It was real and it was very powerful. Very, very intense.
