OK, My turn. This movie would be a good movie in the 60s or 70s when anything non conventional was good and intellectual and oh so artistic, but with all the possibilities in movie making today- it is just a load of thin air. I am not an average movie viewer- i have seen some or most of the best cinema there is, and this movie is not one of them. Just check out Andrey Tarkovsky or earlier Mikhalkov movies. this one reminds me somewhat of a movie "a man and a woman", but that was way better!!!

people need to realize that this movie is very different from american type of movies.. directors such as Abbas Kiarostami, they make movies base on neorealism style of movie making.. so do not expect to watch some crap crazy fake drama movie that the next day you remember nothing of..

I personally love neoralism style, cuz they make u think about life and society you are living in.. n I believe that is the main point of watching a movie.. to learn something from. I love this movie.. watch it

Yeah this trailer is a really bad bait and switch. Anyone who knows Kiarostami knows the film won't be like this. I can't say the same for the woman sitting in front of me in the theater.

Anyway, best movie I've seen in theaters this year- or probably the last few years. Really rich and layered, he's probably the best director working today. Binoche blew me away completely, amazing performance by her.

@danielponce07 I dunno, I thought the UK trailer was annoying too. It's pretty much the same, even similar intertitles. I think it's just hard to make a trailer for this movie in any traditional way, not because it's so weird or hard to watch--it isn't--but because most trailers always want to give you some hook or plot, and here they should just show the two of them talking for a minute or two, plus a view of the scenery and leave it at that.

This trailer is so misleading!!

It is not romantic at all, it is a very SAD movie.

And don't pay attention to those people saying that nothing happens. A LOT of things happen, in many different ways... only that since there is no music at all or obvious cheesy lines, then people are waiting for the cue to know how to feel or react.

It is a marvelous film, but a sad one. No romance whatsoever, all the contrary, it is about a dying love we never even see onscreen.

The reason I panned this film so intensely was I felt "betrayed" by the trailer.......which has music weaved through out every scene......making it look like something it was not .Maybe the movie theater just forgot to turn the music track on....or .....maybe it was a manipulative move.

BEWARE!! This is the SLOWEST least interesting film I have ever seen. .. The entire audience was asleep ...or waiting for something ...anything ....with energy or even a little bit interest to CARE about either one of the main characters...This is NOT a romantic comedy...this is not meditative. This is the kind of nice movie you should see in the best company, a nice lady (in my case) who is clever and/or sensitive, so you both can have a good dinner and kiss her afterwards. Some would say it is a cliché I think it's just delicious!

I still can't watch it but I will tell you this, several times I have seen really bad movies in very good company and even if this is the case, you can always make fun of a bad film while drinking coffee or having dinner together. The rest of the evening depends on yourselves. I am aware this is not the kind of movie everybody may like but think this, years ago I watched Onegin which is a really boring one, I had good company and can't complain about that one

If you youtube "twostepsfromhellthemusic" there are 3 playlists available that I believe are all the albums (all 14) with all their songs on. Also the youtuber @TwoStepsFromTheMusic uploads all the complete albums - seriously, check them out

This particular track (the piano thing at the beginning anyway) is the track called Touched By Her Hand - fitting don't ya think? :P ... hope you like! ;)
