  • Wow

  • thumbs up if you accidentally found this band and now its one of your favorites if not the top

  • zero dislikes thats a first.

  • @MissFreakFace you jinxed it. Never ever point out zero dislikes. People dislike it just to make it not zero.

  • The only bad thing about this song is that it ends!!!!! It's all I've been listening to today!

  • I prefer THIS Judas over Lady Gaga's. :3

  • LOVES.

  • Fucking love this band!

  • I agree 100% with Xeltash....keep the underground underground!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw these guys at Das Bunker X)

  • Ha. One of my favorite bands is Orgy, but I wouldn't compare them. IR is good. Orgy is good. But in the end, Orgy sold out and then went on a hiatus (watch the videos from Punk Static Paranoia and tell me they didn't). I'm glad Julien-K came from it, but they need to make a comeback. At least IR hasn't sold out. And I wouldn't say they are even in the same genre. IR is more ebm, Orgy is more gothrock.

  • @Talrose Orgy is my favorite band as well! I'm glad to find some other people with similar musical tastes. I still think Imperative Reaction is pretty cool, and they fit more with what I like about Julien-K than with Orgy, as they're more electronic than rock, but still have elements of both.

And I agree, Punk Statik was pretty meh. Jay said he wanted a more raw record, which is too bad, because the rest of the band/fanbase was more into the electronic aspect being a part of it.

  • Hmmm I suppose I like these guys but they sound far too much like Orgy only not as good. Seriously, listen to any Orgy song and compare it to your favourite IR song and Orgy will win. There's just no depth either lyrically or musically with these kids.

  • @mcstabbey fucking faggot

  • good song

  • are u kidding? It's an indus. band, they would go money if they could. I love this band, and the underground, but look @ the # plays... obviously the rest of the world doesn't.

You ever been to these shows?? It's all cliks, fads, fashion competition, & like 4 people @ the show care about the music.

  • TOTAL FUCKING AWESOMENESS!

  • MURDER THE MAINSTREAM!!!

  • Okay you guys seriously, who cares what genre they are, as long as you like the music.

  • its imperative everyone in the mainstream hear this stuff.

  • @TheAlan5 well you can try vnv nation, frozen plasma, stuff like that, they are also amazing synthpop but not as upbeat...could try some combichrist, suicide commando or god module...agrotech but hey, broaden ur musical horizons lol

  • you should listen to Some kind of hate by A7IE, Remnants by Grendel. my favs. other great bands i know of are Psyclon Nine(maybe u know of them cus they tuerd w/ IR), Dym, solitary experiments. for starters :)

  • industrial?

  • check out

nine inch nails: pretty hate machine

  • @252477514 nice one more mainstream than most but still good. at lest you chose to reference the older stuff lmao....great album

  • either that or electronic rock

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

    this genre is called "futurepop".

  • No, It sounds nothing like vnv nation or the lame ass metropolis bands that they used to send me in the late 90s as a dj. That was future pop.

This is more like punk style on the lyrics and heavey beats electro and techno, similar to combichrist.

    case closed

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

I dunno man, I would make the argument the production here is vaguely reminiscent of "Chrome" by VNV ... but that's about it. (At least a few of the patches sound similar to me). I'm with you though, definitely not futurepop.

For all intents and purposes though, this is cooler, more danceable, and better.

  • Sounds nothing like chrome imo. Personally I think vnv sucks though, too poetry falala type electronic. I like stuff that takes you by the throat and kicks your ass, not fucking vnv nation. LIVE vnv is also really stupid looking. their singer wears nuthuggers and tucks in his shirt like some biff retard.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

10 years ago furturepop wasn't only vnv nation..

listen to THE futurepop album :appoptygma berzerk- welcome to earth (song like paranoia for example)

or listen to code64 - leaving earth.

imperative reaction is surely closer to apoptygma and code64 than any punk band or any harsh ebm band .

futurepop is a more edgy and dance oriented version of synthpop...and its meant to evolve its sound to remain "futuristic" or it would defy its name.

  • No you're just a fucking idiot who's not understanding. I have been involved in the scene heavilly so I know all about the genre. I used to get free cds from metropolis records and such. All the shit they were calling future pop came out in 97-99 and some leaked over in the early 2000s but when electroclash became huge then most bands who had a clue either went ebm's new term TBM or went into the more electrowave and techno genres again. Some basically stacked techno beats and agressive lyrics.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

they a punk band? no. they an electro band ? no . they a techno band ? no.

ifuturepop is the one genre that gets closest. (if u have a more precise genere label in mind say it..but u failed to deliver one)

genress are apporximations...and generes evolve.....also punk , techno and electro don't sound the same as 30 years ago.

and btw they are closer to Icon Of Coil (combichrit's former futurepop project ;) ) than combichrist lol. (listen to icon of coil-regret )

  • They are nothing like futurepop, youre just an oligophrenic retard + lack the proper mental acuity to understand what futurepop is. Its stuff like vnv nation ala late 90s + early 2000s. From their electroclash came about in 2002-2003 + the scene completely changed again with new influences + then electro-wave, techno-wave + NEW electro, as well as TBM, etc. This is clearly more TBM, techno beats like combichrist along with agressive punk style vocals which is opposite of futurepops poetry lyrics

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork

insults will not make u win an argument.

all u can keep saying is that they do not sound like vnv nation....but also apoptygma berzerk -welcome to earth sounded nothing like vnv nation...

i could say they IR lyrics don't sound like sex pistols so they not punk...but i won't use your stupid arguments against u .i'm just asking u to pick a genre for them: they are not technobodymusic band...and they are not punk...and technobodymusicpunk doesnt exist as a genre.

  • @TheAlan5 Combichrist!!

  • anyone know if utorrent has a download for this,

    cause frostwire doesnt.

  • isohunt has it

  • GEIL

  • Cap... You really don't want a band like this to become mainstream. Underground is so much better because they actually play to survive, not just for shits and giggles cause they've got tons of money. Mainstream crap is sellout shit. I gotta say, Reaper understands lol. Money causes failure.

  • I second that, though it would be nice if it was a little easier to come across their material. IR is amazing, but I had never heard of them until last week. Shame.

  • Not always. Some bands stay good even in mainstream, I mean look at Mika, he keeps to his guns there even when going mainstream. Queen, the greatest band on earth, never sold out and kept making good music even when they had enough money to wipe all the asses of the world, and still have too much leftover to ever spend XD It is not as much mainstream and money, as age and maturity. A good artist stays an artist, an artist just doing it for fame will always sell out.

  • whos mika?

  • Mika is more pop (With a vocie to match Freddy Mercury's) but has kept talented so far in mainstream.

  • I looked him up, that rain song isn't bad but it's not amazing and the video is just strange like that weird animal movie that came out 2 months ago. He's got his look/fashion all fucked up and it's really really hard to like someone with an afro. You need the whole package these days and he lacks as far as that goes. I know i'm a critic but so is everyone els.e

  • @Xeltash wow. wtf are you talking about. The music world isn't divided into mainstream and underground and your broad statement does nothing for your argument. It's an individual band's actions that define it's future. You automatically assume bands, once they "make it big" don't need to play for money anymore.

Record labels make money by publishing CD's and promoting the band. The band makes actual money from playing shows and touring.

And don't act like you know what i'm talking about.

  • @Xeltash Also, the awesome thing about being underground is... you can more or less do what the fuck you want. The bigger you are, the more "active" of a role you're label plays in trying to get you to sound like every other "successful" douche ass, just to flip a little more green. These types are artists are almost free to what they want in terms of style/sound, and thats why it's more times then not gold.

  • @Xeltash I think what Cap meant is that the band is good... this type of music itself is underground :)

  • @Xeltash this is quite true, amongst many other things i listened to dubstep way before every other fratboy knew about it. now its full of commercialized and generic music as opposed to REAL music. :(

  • @LOLHICRONO True that. I've often wondered why lots of good Industrial bands never go really mainstream? - Not that I'm glad they don't, it's just a strange phenomenon.

  • @pimpflea its difficult for the masses to get into industrial music. industrial isnt really commercialized and the only related genre that i can think of thats accessable is probably future pop.

even then it's a very restricted taste. and i love it for that.

  • @Xeltash success is not selling out. and I like this band and I like Clint in general as an artist and think if he were to make it to mainstream I'd be stoked for him! I don't think any artist makes anything for "shits and giggles"! talent pours off of them and sometimes they record it in a medium like music!

  • this is one of those bands you stumble across and wonder why they aren't main-stream, thanks for the upload!

  • They get some awesome support through Metropolis Records and the other bands from said record label that they tour with, but I agree it's not enough. They're awesome live, but I think Metropolis hopes to preserve the elitist underground feel that accompanies Industrial/ Futurepop/ Synthpop. A shame, I agree, but enjoy them, and enjoy knowing they'll continue to put out great music due to lack of huge cushions of money that could interfere with the creative process.

  • I agree. This band should be mainstream but the mainstream needs to come to them, not the other way around. But t's not 1989 anymore so that's not going to happen most likely so they should boost their profile like combichrist did.

It's funny because all these bands are from L.A. and i've seen them many times, so their is a nice scene, if we could just get the shitbags at the majors to understand good music.

  • IR forever

  • best track on the album.

  • love this track

  • WAI! Thanks for the awesome upload! :3
