i think mika was a very very talented driver but he was never one of the best. His carrier is not very different then Jenson Button's. He won his 2nd WDC because Michael broke his leg. But of course he is one of the reasons that we all miss the late 90s.

Seriously guys. This video is the first video albyvirtualf1 uploaded on YouTube. He didn't have much experience with making F1 videos. So stop complaining about that there's music in the video. He could have played some hiphop, rap or 007 sound system crap instead. But he chose a song that fits to the content of the video so he did a good job. He learnt not to put music on a video where you can hear F1 engines and that's fine and he'll consider that in the next videos.

@Hiluxtaco Disagree with that.  Yes he never had the same high profile as Senna, Schumi, Mansell, Prost etc etc but the man won 2 world championships and in doing so denied Schumacher en route. Also, the Mclaren that he was stuck with between 93 -96 was a dreadful car. It is wrong to dismiss him entirley. He was probab ly the most under rated double world champion of all time

Guys, I put that music (we are the champions by the queen) into the video because I thought it was the right way to honor two of the best drivers ever. This video was edited in order to award two beautiful drivers, Mika and Michael, and not just to show these few laps in Suzuka. I'm sorry if you don't liked it, but I thought that putting the music was a simple way to award two special drivers.

I understood that a lot of viewers didn't like my decision to add music to the video, but hell, if you read to the comments you can see that the biggest part of them say almost the same thing. I added this video in order to create a kind of discussion about two fabolous drivers, not to discuss about how music can ruin a video. Anyway, I will try to improve for next videos :)

You're talking about the longest running and greatest team in the history in F1 history. Yes Ferrari had a poor 80s and 90s but they would have had a dominant car throughout the 00's regardless. As it happened they secured the services of the driver of that era aswell to further secure their dominance but make no mistake, Ferrari were the biggest F1 team before Schumi, the biggest when he drove for them & will be the biggest team going forward (Pains me to say it as I'm a McLaren fan)

What everybody seems to fail to remember is that in '95 Mika's career almost ended in Adelaide. To come back and win championships is amazing. So people who say his career wasn't long enough... it was longer than it might have been so be grateful.

Hakkinen has all my respect, he was Schumacher's most respectable and incredible opponent, even better than Kimi and Alonso (who I both support as I'm a Ferrari fan). What is incredible is that they battled for so long but it's always been fair: there have been clashes between Schumacher and Coulthard, but no crashes or bad words could happen between Michael and Mika, maximum respect between the two. And in the 4 "fights", 2 championships were won by each (though '99 hardly counts).

Schumacher won titles by litterally taking out his opponents. Wow what a great champ.... NOT. He was a selfish idiot winning 1995 by taking out Damon, and 1997 I believe he almost won by trying to take out Jacques. This guy should have been bannen from F1 ever since. well i dont know about you guys but id say that schumacher was the best of these 2 drivers :) beside for some reason hakkinen had some kind of addiction to blow up the engine alot in his mclaren ? if you look at coulthard in his mclaren he didnt blew up the engine as many times as hakkinen. so id say that hakkinen coudnt drive fast and save engine. :S my opinion.

I think that Mika didn't win a lot of World Championship just because of his retirement, and because he never raced without real opponents, as Micheal do in 2001, 2002 and 2004. Mika always had to push his car to the limit, because McLaren wasn't always the best car.

For sure Micheal is one of the best driver in F1 history, and that's a fact. But Mika is very good too, and is very bad for F1 that he left racing so early.

@albyvirtualf1 He didnt really leave F1 early, he had been in for 10 years. More than other champions like Raikkonen or Hill. Its just that Mika's success all came during the last 4 years of his career. If his heart was not in it then he made the right decision, Its better to go out on top than it is to slowly fade into mediocrity.

Schumacher said Hakkinen was the rival he most respected, this coming from the same guy that in 2001 said Alonso was going to be great makes Mika all the greater
