  • 0:24 " He's gonna be squirting blood every where" Lmao ... Duhh!

  • i've been there hundreds of times, awesome

  • I was there a week ago... that's 45 feet up.

  • @zeriouswolif I went there last week it's in alabama lake Martin

  • 35 to 40 feet i say

  • its still cool though

  • I've jumped of spmething bigger than that.

  • @Janiel127 me 2

  • it does not look bad from the boat, but when you get up there it does not look so fun. but once you do it the first time it is fun.

  • how did people get ladders on boats and spray paint those rocks???

  • @MrMcTouch2Much , Most of the people just climb. lol

  • @YamaRider93 Really??? I never would have guessed.

  • Im going to nc tomorrow, I hope I can find that place.

  • why is everyone worrying about the depth? its the way you hit the water thats the thing to worry about, hit it wrong and you end up with broken bones

  • I did it my senior year in highschool and had to finish the year with a pillow because it hurt my tailbone so bad. Awesome thrill but dangerous.

  • How deep is the water just off from the rocks?

  • @MPL029 Its a good 40 to 60 feet or so. Really deep, dont need to worry about hitting the bottom haha

  • wow i did tht 8 times and im 12

  • @shotgunshells2121 bbullshitt

  • Anyone who is thinking about jumping shouldn't. My best friend jumped off June 13th and shattered his T12 vertebra. After a long long surgery, we aren't sure if he'll ever be able to walk again.

  • @c15h , Yea, I wouldn't recommend it either. I grew up on Lake Martin and have done it several times, the risk and hurt isn't worth it. It's fun to do, but very dangerous. I usually just jump off the mid rock anyways. I was there the last time someone died on the top rock. Some kid tried to do a somersault off it and smacked his head lower on the rock. They've got a plaque lower on the mid rock in his memory. Hopefully people see it and think twice before doing it.

  • Where at exactly is this cause me and my friends wanna try it?

  • @mikesmith29510 pass the bridge near kowliga and keep going until you go under powerlines and turn left and ull see it on ur left

  • @mikesmith29510 Alabama.. There really isn't an exact location. It in all different cities. I live in Montgomery and its about 30 minutes away. Hope this helped! Its really fun, I'm only 10 and I jumped off not the highest but the medium ones:DD Medium is pretty high!:DD

  • holy fucking shit i almost just shit my pantss

    hes fucking crazzyyy

  • haha i've jumped off there before(:

there's not much else to do sometimes lol

  • It was me that jumped, i wont do it again. The water was waaay down that year as well, i could see rocks below the surface, they only stuck out about 5-10 feet though. There are alot of Injury/death stories online from there.

  • I jumped off this yesterday. The water is a little higher than that. It's hella scary when you're up there.

  • everyone tags the rock...if you lived here you would know....

  • mate, I apreciate the fact you jump and and live I just hate to see tags on natural stone, sorry if my comment pissed you off, clarky from oz!

  • nah i didnt jump haha, i was just saying that everyone tags it when they jump... thats all . hah sorry i didnt mean to like jump on you about itt

  • How deep is it anyway? and where is it?

  • its at lake martin in talapoosa county, alabama. where chimneyrock is, its about 60 feet or so up and the water ir probably....150 feet deep.

  • and i think 8 meter is scary...

  • Ive never jumped from the top but i have jumped from the middle rock about 40 feet up so many times i cant even count them.. never heard of anyone getting hurt from there and its really fun... its a happy median lol

  • lol he looks like me when i got to the top, it doesnt look like shit until you get up there and then ur like "oh damn" ill never do it again too many ppl have gotten hurt and i've heard of ppl dying which i guess is true. either way yeah u can see the bottom in winter bc they dam up the whole lake and scrubspimp is right its actually acapulco rock didnt kno that til i read it in lake martin magazine one drunken night.

  • @chieuhoi88 Yea, technically this one is Alcapuca rock. From where these guys are facing, the real Chimney rock is to their left, on the next island over. Pretty easy to spot because the rock has a formation on top that looks kinda like a chimney, hence the name. It's impossible to jump off of though because it's further back from the edge of the shore.

  • SECONDS FROM DISASTER...Think about it next time.

  • i first did it when i was 11 and i do it all the time now

  • lol i jumped from that like 3 days ago i think, i wore a life jacket cuz i was scared..

  • If you live there then u gotta spell it right, its ACAPULCO rock.

  • Correct this is ocopoco rock! but i can never find the chimney on chimney rock!

I live on lake martin too!! Home to the tigers!! who lost every single game last season!

  • There are alot of dangers just below the water..Broken glass and tree limbs..The Outlook did a story on it a while back...Most people don't think about what is lying underneath the water that could possibly harm them. They are more concerned about not getting their neck broke in the jump.

  • the water is to deep to touch bottom on a jump!! at leas 160 feet our boat has a depth finder!

  • So you are telling me that it is impossible for someone to injure themselves on the debris in the water at chimney rock?

  • If you went by there when the water was down, some recently, you would see not very far down below there are rocks.. where you boat is isn't near where people actually jump, because ours says the same thing too. and why don't you try telling that to the kid that broke his neck... i think he died from jumping off the rock.

  • yea and he dove like a dumb ass.

  • its more than 100 feet deep in front of chimney rock. there is no way in hell you could hit the bottom its just not possible. you may hit glass if a beer bottle floats in front of you but you are sure as hell not going to hit the bottom.

  • actually if you have been up there in the winter, you will see that not far below the water surface is tons of rocks.. and explain how people have HIT ROCKS UNDERNEATH THE WATER and broken there backs, or some have even died! explain that if it is 100 feet deep?

  • i love jumping from the rock!!!! im 14 and it really gives you a rush right before you jump its awesome!

  • i go to lake martin all the time

    i live in eneterprise

  • Love the jump. Lake Martin/ AC is my hometown. I like to wear a ski vest when I go off in case I need help rising up, or do a belly or back buster. The lake needs some good rope swings.
