  • I've been checking out these shreds videos for about an hour, then watched the real tender surrender and my brain was waiting to hear more"shredding" like this! These are great fun! LMFAO! A+++

  • sounds like guitar center

  • immer wieder lustig

  • StS, YOU'RE THE MAN...

  • I think its funny that there are people who get mad and don't see the humor behind these videos. I love em.

  • i sound like this 7 years ago :)

  • i think gilbert or govan made this video

  • Not steve!! He couldnt sound so poor if he tried!! Boo this vid!

  • I think even Steve will crack to this.

  • this is a tender srrender

  • what a joke ?!

  • @RezzhaF You think??

  • 3:47 Smoke On the Water into Stairway to Heaven = just fucking phenomenal.

  • Real clever, putting Nickelback audio over a Steve Vai video.

  • nice joke, HAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • Delicate playing. Truly expirational seseptidude in it.

  • The random bursts of applause crack me the fuck up.

  • Steve Vai shredding is much better than slash playing "seriously".

  • God I laughed like shit once I realised this was a pisstake, thanks for making me smile

  • 0:15 serious shredding. Best lick of the solo!

  • I am literally CRYING over here hahahahhahaha.

  • haha i read that the original STS/shreds channel was removed and this video permanently blocked fir him, because Steve Vai is one of the only ones to report and directly accuse Sanders of copyright infringement. it may be silly but i lost a tremendous amount of respect for Steve Vai after he complained. Shreds r like The Weird Al Videos of the new millenium. artists should feel honored by all the hard work that goes into them. and that its a joke because they are so talented.so screw steve vai!

  • It is art to play that shit :D

  • so much dissonance

  • Where can I get the tabs for this song?

  • @tubeytubetuber Where can I get the amp settings?

  • WHAT!!!!!!!! this is steve vai playing with his toes

  • haha, he's playing teder surrender, someone changed the audio

  • sick :)

  • Wow.. I never knew how AWESOME VAI is Until this video!

  • JAAAAAAAAAAAAA,!!!!!!!!!!! great!!!!!!!!

  • I'm glad they put all his classics up. I do like his new ones a lot too!

  • This is the funniest video I have seen on You Tube! Excellent!

  • Man, you are a genius....except for the muted drummer and bass player, it's perfect!

Thanks for sharing and making people laugh. All the best.

  • Hey, this guy is purty good.

  • I hear this version of Steve Vai every time I walk into guitar center and some kid is "trying out" a guitar. True story.

  • does he miss every other note or is it supposed to sound like that?

  • @MattsMrMusic Its a joke, Thats not really Vai playing. Its a guy making a parody of Vai playing

  • lol

They Shouldn't Have put a Van Halen Track OVer a Steve Vai Video

  • xDD the Smoke/Stairway medley xD

  • 2:27 - 2:40 bring me to tears: I've never seen so much passion in a song. :P

  • I'm talking seriously: I've listened to this video so many times that I'm starting to remember the melody.

  • @hendrixmccabe haha! just like me with the slash video

  • this shit sucked balls

  • it would be funny if the overdub playing some right tune but fits with the video

  • this sounds like pee and poo

  • he brought his friends to clap for him

  • Amazing!

  • What's the name of this track and on which album can I find it?

    Steve Vai rules!!!

  • hey man where's the shredding? he's really good! but I want to hear him shredding dude!

  • @Punjab35 Er............

  • @Punjab35 Uh..........

  • Comment removed

  • hysterical

  • Excellent work whoever did this. Its a riot!

  • Anyone else think he kinda looks like Christian Bale in this clip?

  • This is pretty good. Who is this guy?

  • @TheIncredibleBAGMAN steve vai he played guitar for alcatrazz, frank zappa, david lee roth, whitesnake and he is one of the best guitarrist ive ever heard listen to him

  • The twisted mastermind behind these is incredibly dedicated, patient, and talented.

  • This so well done...LOL

  • There was an even better clip called "Blender Surrender" thats been removed by Vai himself.....saddest day of my life!

  • ha ha this is hillarious

  • This is amazing !

  • 2:38 dayum what a peak play

  • Fake huh? What's the tipoff? For me, I thought, "what the hell?," because "Vai" seemed far too sloppy for his usual skill level.

  • hahaha!

  • I laughed my freakin head off LOL!

  • @nothinggmsc lead guitar by no means is overrated. i cant really agree with anything you said except that piano and drumming multitask. guitar at times can be a hell of a lot harder than piano and at times piano can be harder than guitar, it depends on the individual and the songs.

  • @guitarzilla100 Guitar is more difficult to really learn how to play then Piano. Piano has a system that is very easy to understand. Guitar on the other hand is a bit more complex. Besides that you pick...and you fret the strings...2 different things actually that require a very specific timing. Guitar is one of the harder instruments to control.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed well, on piano you can be doing eleven different things at once... Neither one is harder than the other because like i said, its subjective.

  • @guitarzilla100 It's not subjective. I know a lot of peeps on conservatory and those who play guitar and piano both say piano is a lot harder. Piano = Theory easy to apply (chord building, scales/modes etc) even songwriting is a lot easier to do on a piano/keyboard. Guitar = harder system to learn, harder to apply your scale theory, also harder to form your own chords with knowing what chords your playing. Guitar also has way more techniques then on a piano. Tapping, legato, picking, vibrato etc

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed so the statement "those who play guitar and piano both say piano is a lot harder" is -not- subjective? holy shit, hand me a dictionary did they change things recently?

  • @ant1ph0n Read the whole comment...its a fact dude...Piano is just easier to learn. Easier to play...for well...reasons that I've mentioned. Guitar = a whole lot of techniques to use and a harder theoretical system. Piano = has an easy theoretical system...not so many techniques you need to learn. And the hand motions on guitar are different Picking vs. Fretting. I play both of the instruments and Piano is a great tool to learn your music theory, since its easier then on guitar.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed also, what an apropo name...

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed I play both at a state level (saxaphone too!!!) and in my opinion piano is much harder than guitar. 1st off tapping is unbelievably easy, it's for beginners who try to show off. Second, legato is for the piano as well as the guitar. 3rd picking is basic, no real challenge there. 4th vibrato is also really basic. So as I see it guitar might b harder for a beginner but once you get to the higher levels piano starts being harder.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed Also theory is much much easier on guitar, you have to play the same exact patterns for scales, just move them to the appropriate positions.

  • @guitarzilla100 Lol...obviously you don't know what your talking about :D Vibrato isn't a basic thing...there are enough guitarplayers who sturggle with it, since it can be very hard to really put the right ammount expression and the right sort of vibrato in it. Picking isn't basic at all, since you have a lot of different picking techniques...also something you dont have on a piano. The pattern on piano for a scale is also basically the same you only have to move it just like guitar.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed If there's a guitarist who struggles with vibrato, they don't practice anywhere near enough. Sure there are different ways of picking but they're easy, alterate, tremolo, sweep, etc. The only one that's a real challenge is hardcore fingerstyle. For guitar you can transpose pieces of music the easiest. Piano, not so much. That's one of the most absurd things I've ever heard, if you play guitar it doesn't mean you can play piano, that's foolishness.

  • @guitarzilla100 Sweep picking easy? Are you being arrogant or what?

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed Not to mention 98% of guitarists just use tablature. Piano is easier for beginners but it is much harder to master.

  • @guitarzilla100 Yes but now you are talking about playing someone elses song. Its way easier to compose on piano then on guitar. Ask anyone who finished conservatory. Piano is my second instrument and it's way easier to understand and to play then guitar. It takes years of practice to really be able to control the guitar. Since you have to master te pitch with your fingers. On a piano the pitch of a note is always the same.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed If your composing a simple pop song piano is the thing to go to because easy on piano is really really easy. The notes are straightforward on a piano while on guitar you have more options. Piano demands more theory knowledge than guitar and many other instruments do. I can guarentee that stride piano improv is many times harder than metal sweep picking, tapping solos. Tell me what types of songs do you play on piano?

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed Also guitar is my primary instrument however I have been playing piano for longer so my skill level between the two are roughly the same. I consider myself a 40-40-20 split for piano guitar and saxaphone respectivly. Anyways, guitar is a much easier instrumet to improvise on and overall to play. Composing isn't as easy on guitar as it is piano. The hardest piano work is much more challenging than the hardest guitar work.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed And one more thing, lik I said it is SUBJECTIVE. A persons experiance differs from instrument to instrument. For piano, songs like fur Elise are really easy but once you get into the stuff like rhapsody in blue or moonlight Sonora 3rd movement, that stuff rivals shredding solos for guitar.

  • @guitarzilla100 I play jazz/fusion stuff on both instruments. On guitar also blues and hardrock. But I still think its easier to improvise on piano and to apply musical knowledge on that instrument then on guitar. Sure, shapes are easy but really knowing what you play and pick the right notes is easier for me on piano, cause the notes are easy visionable. On guitar they are not so easy sorted out.

  • @PhilosopherOnWeed hmm i play jazz, blues, rock, classical, and metal on guitar and jazz, blues, classical, romantic, and rock. Its weird, its the other way around for me, i find guitar easier, that all there is to it for me. So are you a fan of miles davis?

  • @guitarzilla100 No real fan of him, but I don't mind listening to him.

  • @guitarzilla100 Piano is easy to learn...and to use...guitar isn't. No discussion possible actually. IF you can play guitar...you can play piano too. If you can play piano, you can't play guitar. At least if you know a bit of theory on your guitar, piano should be easy. Piano is one of the most basic instruments arround if it comes to making music.

  • this guy is funny. i love when he busts out smoke on the water and stairway. I like the Van Halen and Beatles videos he did.

  • I didn't understand that it was fake until like half way. I was thinking "interesting style". Then when i realized it was fake, I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Comment removed

  • that was worth my five minutes...........lmao

  • fake

  • @07bheng no shit sherlock

  • @07bheng lol dipshit

  • hmmph it doesn't touched me...I'm not a fan of that kind of playing

  • @nothinggmsc Guitar isn't over rated. I play piano, but guitar isn't easy by comparison. The problem is that everyone who wants to play an instrument wants a guitar, and 75% of "guitarists" don't have any self-discipline. The apex of their skills is just like this video--a little "stairway" and "smoke on the water" which they quickly back out of in favor of mindless strumming.

Also, no one who "dicks around" is a respected musician. Everyone who gets good has worked hard to be that way.

  • it sounds like this every in guitar shop lol

  • @CantGetEnuffff

LOL best comment ever. It really does.

  • i thought it was real at first XD

  • !:15 - 1: 22 i could not stop laughing hahahahahaha

  • NO VEAN ESTO!!!

    NUNCA FUE VAI!!!

  • StSanders should get together with Captain Beefheart.

  • Fucking genius!! I haven't laughed so hard for ever...

  • out of scale?

  • @Accordish13 its not real dude, some kid just played over the video as a joke

  • @nothinggmsc Lol yeah. It's funny. But lead guitar is in no way overrated. Some of these people spent 10 hours a day practicing, they can do absolutely inhuman things on the guitar. It deserves respect.

  • 4:40 - 4:54 I died laughing

  • @nothinggmsc One word for you. Douche.

  • @nothinggmsc Congratulations on your remote scope of mind.

  • Think I prefer this to the original

  • 4:44 i always wanted to see that part stsanderized

  • First time i ever heard of this guy and i really like his playing..He should start playing a song anytime now.

  • id live to see steve vai and jeff beck play a game of russian roulette witha fully loaded revolver

  • @Royales00 And I'd love to see you play a game of "fill the orifice bareback" with Magic Johnson.

  • The crowd is so easily amused

  • this and Jake E Lee Shreds videos are my favs from the mighty St.Sanders! 2:51 lmao

  • smoke on the water literally killed me...this is too hilarious!

  • @giNsus smoke on the water and stairway to heaven!!! ROFL!!!

  • this actually makes me laugh hahahahaha...lol!!!!

  • lol this is beautiful. He's such a brilliant composer.

  • f*ckin hilarious. I reckon the Vai shreds are some of the best, proly cos he's really a bit of a dweeb (but I love his playing....). Love the Smoke/Stairway bits.

  • fukin funny as hell! has vai ever made a good song? NO! fukin douchbag! no wonder no major label will touch the douchbag!

  • @crazyfuk100 Actually he seems like a good guy (haven't met him, so I can't say for sure) and he's amazing on the guitar. Also, most of his pieces are not songs because there is no singing in them. They are instrumental compositions.

  • XD I LOVE THESE XD

  • One of the most funniest videos i came across on youtube..Bravo!

  • @rabihz24 Check out Paco De Lucia Shreds -- it's much worse, which means it's better! Many YT viewers actually cannot tell that these are fake. LOL !!!!

  • xaxaxaxaxaxaxa very good

  • this is funny. I dont know which one is better this one or the Steve vai on heroin one. I think they took that one down a while ago.

  • LMAO!!

  • @densomtarhanhar lol, it's not real nut. It's a joke. Hahaha! Look up "Tender surrender" That's where the vid was from. someone just punkd the guitar sound for fun like the other "Shreds" Videos. lol

  • @Wiseman501 Yeah I know, just want to see how people react ^^

  • just funny !!!! that is humor!!!

  • haha !!

  • Back to the woodshed for me after seeing this astonishing display of virtuosity.

  • There's no way this is StS.

  • @tomplunket this is a sts classic

  • Dont you guys get it ?? Steve Vai is playing a tune called "Russian Roulette" where no consistent riffs or melodies are allowed. IF the Godfather should notice ANY melody or "chorus" Steve will be instantly shot and a body bag is waiting behind the stage. Thats why Steve is trying his hardest to do the "Russian Roulette" Dance the best he can to satisfy the Godfather's extortion threats. He's doing pretty well isnt he ????
  • The Eric Clapton one is fantastic too.

  • LOL

  • steve vai makes porn faces

  • Haha at 1:15 he looks like he's getting turned on by his guitar

  • HAHAHA this is so funny!

  • Yet more proof that Vai could be strumming the crap off a stick and still look awesome.

  • EVH WOLFGANG GUITAR

  • Funny but not as funny as the creed shreds....
