Watching this movie as I type. This part was quite possibly the worse acting I've seen in ages. Matt Damon barely seemed phased when they said his wife was dead. Then his son dies and still he is so nonchalant about it. It just seemed totally off on how someone would react to their Wife/Son dying within a few hours. Couldn't believe they actually allowed this in the movie.

@dkgshizzy I think Damon's character just did not fully realise what was going on. At the end of the movie, when his daughter is now 100% safe because the virus has been beaten, Damon's character cries while watching pictures of his dead wife. Maybe that's what the director wanted to do, or maybe Matt Damon has performed one of the worst scene of his career.
