I only watched this because it comes on right after The Lawrence Welk Show on the PBS station and my parents never changed the channel. I used to hate it since I thought it was something that only they watched, but now I love it.
One thing I would like to mention : I know just how she feels about all those wrong numbers for the chinies takeaway . A place I used to work had a number on les didgit than anoother local company . The amount of times I answered the phone and had to say "Stick a one on the end"
I have enjoyed watching Keeping Up Appearances since being stationed in Europe in the 90's. I watched it almost every week along with Are You Being Served and occasionally Eastenders. I have been looking for the entire season of Keeping Up Appearances as I never get tired of watching it. I also agree that I enjoy the Rose played by Mary Millard better,,,,, like so many others I thought she was replaced by someone else thats why she was no longer on the show, now I know.
I really think Patricia Routledge is the one who makes this show funny - her facial expressions and everything are just classic! I like the older episodes though, the ones where Rose's character is replaced seemed to have taken a massive dive.
I remember I started watching this show around thirteen or fourteen, thought I was the only person my age who enjoyed it until I met my friend in year nine who was absolutely an avid watcher.
@KidsWithGuns1992 In the first season, the role of Rose was played by Shirley Stelfox. Because of other duties, she then was replaced by late Mary Millar, who played in all the other seasons. Mary Millar is the one you like best, as it is her at 4:05..
@tpmm1 Ah okay yes I must have gotten the seasons mixed around because I watch it on television and I originally saw rose played by Mary Millar so I assumed that she was the original actor for that character. Thank you for letting me know, though. :)
@KidsWithGuns1992 Oh no. I disagree. No, that's not right either. ALL of them, including Hyacinth, can send me into a deep belly laugh. It's a true ensemble show.
@dncarac Yeah I was told that the Rose I was talking about was the one that actually replaced the original Rose. But I do think all the characters are funny, but Patricia - to me - definitely makes the show worth watching. Like Vicar of Dibley or whathaveyou, I think all the characters on that are very funny - but the main character (Dawn French) is what draws you to it and really completes the show.
how could you not love this show? It is one of the best brit comedies out there. For those 'eleven' who dont get it, well, find something else you do like. I am happy to view it. Makes me smile.
@matrahat I simply don't get it either. What expectations can one have in the first place when we talk outtakes? If one doesn't like KUA, they could as well go to the next video. :D

This is so freaking great!!!! O I love this show. Daisy's laugh is so contagious! Tpmm1 Thanks for posting this ;) I was taken advantage of.....what if mr vicorstaff calls LMAO
4:32 - 4:40. Gotta love Daisy just COMPLETELY losing it there. And I'm sure they had to do that scene in more than just 3 or 4 takes. LOL! Great stuff.
Daisy seems the sweetest, funny to see Hyacinth laugh :))) Actually appears to me that Richard is absent of personality and Onslow is a bag of laughs too
Yeah Daisy is sooo cute, shes the one that messes up the most and laughts all the time. Hyacinth also seems nice, but yeah Richard's actor is liek dry... He seems a bit annoyed....
My favorite episode is the one where Hyacinth gets drunk off the homemade Gooseberry wine she gets at the auction. Brilliant acting from Patricia Routledge.
That is wonderful to hear. As a matter of fact, I do have several more outtakes. If interested, just send me a message, and I can send you a link. :-)

Trying to recite someone else's lines without slipup whilst avoiding the furniture is clearly a talent!
Taken from the Noel Coward school of acting: just say the lines and don't fall over the furniture.
