  • Patricia Routledge is like jim carrey :d

  • lol @ onslow running out of food and coughing up his beer

  • its great! love it

  • my grandmother introduced me to this show. i will always remember her whenever i watch this show and when we used to laugh together watching it

    R.I.P grandma

  • Oh I need to own this series on DVD! Fantastic!

  • 4:05 tot 5:06 is de beste!!!! xD

  • I only watched this because it comes on right after The Lawrence Welk Show on the PBS station and my parents never changed the channel. I used to hate it since I thought it was something that only they watched, but now I love it.

  • love it.....thats edna from Emmerdale....talk about playing two different roles.

  • One thing I would like to mention : I know just how she feels about all those wrong numbers for the chinies takeaway . A place I used to work had a number on les didgit than anoother local company . The amount of times I answered the phone and had to say "Stick a one on the end"

  • 20 years after it started it's still a well known classic <3

  • I love 1:10 WHERES THE BITCH lmao!!!! then the car rolls back

  • I want Hyacinth to be my nana

  • very funny .....:-)

  • lmao!!! rose (mary millar) at 4.47

  • such a funny show... 04:33 I laughed so hard.

  • I have enjoyed watching Keeping Up Appearances since being stationed in Europe in the 90's. I watched it almost every week along with Are You Being Served and occasionally Eastenders. I have been looking for the entire season of Keeping Up Appearances as I never get tired of watching it. I also agree that I enjoy the Rose played by Mary Millard better,,,,, like so many others I thought she was replaced by someone else thats why she was no longer on the show, now I know.

  • Trying to recite someone else's lines without slipup whilst avoiding the furniture is clearly a talent!

Taken from the Noel Coward school of acting: just say the lines and don't fall over the furniture.

  • And at 6:15 I love Daisy's laugh - it's absolutely hilarious!

  • I really think Patricia Routledge is the one who makes this show funny - her facial expressions and everything are just classic! I like the older episodes though, the ones where Rose's character is replaced seemed to have taken a massive dive.

I remember I started watching this show around thirteen or fourteen, thought I was the only person my age who enjoyed it until I met my friend in year nine who was absolutely an avid watcher.

  • @KidsWithGuns1992 You mean you prefer the episodes without Mary Miller in them?

I like Mary Miller as Rose so much, that I have never thought about any differences.

  • @tpmm1 I'm really not sure, I'm talking about the woman @ 4:05 - I much prefer her than the other woman.

  • @KidsWithGuns1992 In the first season, the role of Rose was played by Shirley Stelfox. Because of other duties, she then was replaced by late Mary Millar, who played in all the other seasons. Mary Millar is the one you like best, as it is her at 4:05..

  • @tpmm1 Ah okay yes I must have gotten the seasons mixed around because I watch it on television and I originally saw rose played by Mary Millar so I assumed that she was the original actor for that character. Thank you for letting me know, though. :)

  • @tpmm1 Mary Millar of course.

  • @KidsWithGuns1992

I started watching it when i was younger than that. I have always been in love with the show!

  • @KidsWithGuns1992 Oh no. I disagree. No, that's not right either. ALL of them, including Hyacinth, can send me into a deep belly laugh. It's a true ensemble show.

  • @dncarac Yeah I was told that the Rose I was talking about was the one that actually replaced the original Rose. But I do think all the characters are funny, but Patricia - to me - definitely makes the show worth watching. Like Vicar of Dibley or whathaveyou, I think all the characters on that are very funny - but the main character (Dawn French) is what draws you to it and really completes the show.

  • WOW!! They don't TV Shows like this anymore. This was nice, simple and funny. ^_^

Not fill with useless political jokes (that you have to set and think about to see if it was funny or not) like today shows . -_-

  • how could you not love this show? It is one of the best brit comedies out there. For those 'eleven' who dont get it, well, find something else you do like. I am happy to view it. Makes me smile.

  • Love every minute! Superb. Anybody know what episode that Hyacinth

attends some sort of food fair, picks up a lopsided cake and says "Oh,

that's Mrs. Johnsons. She does try, bless her."

  • @dancebandleader Hi! The part you are referring to is from Season 1, Episode 5, called "Daisy's Toyboy". (1990)

(OH, IS THAT ONE OF MRS. WATSON'S CAKES?

OH YES, I CAN SEE IT IS NOW.

    SHE DOES TRY, BLESS HER.)

  • Can you imagine the Buckets as guests in fawlty towers? Comedy heaven.

  • @ChannelEden OMG...now that would be hilarious. I am rolling with that thought.

  • @ChannelEden OMG...now that would be hilarious. I am rolling with that thought. I can just imagine Mr. Fawlty and Mrs Bucket going toe to toe.....

  • 4:43-4:50 I love it

  • ...why oh why can't I find a husband like Onslow...LOL...he's a laugh a minute...LOL...such sufferings..LOL

  • wow 6 people actually gave thumbs down they must have no sense of humour !!!

  • @matrahat I simply don't get it either. What expectations can one have in the first place when we talk outtakes? If one doesn't like KUA, they could as well go to the next video. :D

  • @matrahat wow its now 11 people!!!

  • Hilarious! What more can you say about the show or Paticia Routledge? Perfection!

  • Hilarious! What more can you say about the show or Paticia Routledge? Perfection!

  • This is so freaking great!!!! O I love this show. Daisy's laugh is so contagious! Tpmm1 Thanks for posting this ;) I was taken advantage of.....what if mr vicorstaff calls LMAO

  • this video deserves 1000 stars !! classicness :D 1000/5

  • it does seem richard is out of it. Like maybe mad about the outtakes? hmmm? love everyone else

  • I love Judy Cornwell's laugh...

  • 4: 47: AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

    I laughed. HARD.

  • 4:32 - 4:40. Gotta love Daisy just COMPLETELY losing it there. And I'm sure they had to do that scene in more than just 3 or 4 takes. LOL! Great stuff.

  • Daisy seems the sweetest, funny to see Hyacinth laugh :))) Actually appears to me that Richard is absent of personality and Onslow is a bag of laughs too

  • @pimpyourhideontube

Yeah Daisy is sooo cute, shes the one that messes up the most and laughts all the time. Hyacinth also seems nice, but yeah Richard's actor is liek dry... He seems a bit annoyed....

  • HILARIOUS!

  • 5:34 LMAO what?

  • Is it me kids? or is that a Renault 20 from 1:00 onwards?

  • This show is awesome =)!!

  • 4:30 - 4:36 lol

  • Isn't it just great? :D

  • I must say, these were the funniest and most enjoyable outtakes I've seen! Judy Cornwell has her share, doesn't she?

  • @donufro HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA absolute favourite part :D

  • ethel skinner lol

  • Where is part 2?

  • @008426 In a very safe place. :D

The BBC had it removed due to copyright. This one they didn't remove for one or the other reason.

  • @tpmm1 very safe place??? it means where??

  • it was such a clever series and i loved it! have it on the old vhs! ta for the bloopers!

  • My favorite episode is the one where Hyacinth gets drunk off the homemade Gooseberry wine she gets at the auction. Brilliant acting from Patricia Routledge.

  • Yes thats mine too. She keeps mixing all the words together and ends with Wooseberry gine. Hilarious.

  • LMFAO @ 4:32

  • All the actors in this comedy are so unanimously great... "what a great psychic bond they must have" LOL

    I absolutely adore this sitcom!!!!

  • British comedy is the best in the world definitely, it's hilarious!

  • Ph no more crisps?

  • The show's a classic.I've seen every episode time and again. The Brits have such a sense of humor.

  • Are we going in or are we or not?! I'm waiting for your impology!

  • on 2:16 it sounds like dandy nichols from in sickn ess and in health and till death us do part is it ???

  • No, it's Ethel (without her little Willy) from Eastenders.

  • o yeah so it is :D

  • I love the part where Daisy suggests Hyacinth could have a glass of sherry. Is "bugger" equivalent to the F-word?

  • I would say it is milder! More like "shit", I think. Wikipedia will be able to tell you more interesting details about it.

Yes, funny how Daisy reacts on her own word! :)

  • Slightly milder than F word. LOL You would use this word with the same frustration if you were trying to keep up appearences but failing slightly.

  • Although strangely enough it has a similar meaning.

  • Bugger is like Damn.

  • 5:26 - 5:45

    ROFL

  • 3:40 to 3:47, lol!

  • thanks thanks thanks.... I think I just pulled a stomach muscle. PRICELESS!!!!

  • That is wonderful to hear. As a matter of fact, I do have several more outtakes. If interested, just send me a message, and I can send you a link. :-)

  • 4:30 is the best!!

  • I couldn't agree more! I really love that one! :D

  • They're all great and I love this show, before, now and forever.

  • timeless show with a great laugh for us all

  • 2:07 - 2:27 lol :)

  • These bloopers are priceless! Thanks a million for sharing them with us! What a joy! :)

  • are any full episodes uploaded?

  • Not by me, but some users have.

  • Try Norwegicus The Third. He's got all the episodes uploaded!

  • Thanks, Adam. :D

  • 4:47! If you know you've fluffed it, fly with it! R.I.P., Miss Millar!

  • And I think it's hilarious that Onslow's running out of chocolate bar.

  • I love Patricia Routledge! She's awesome.

  • I've got Clive Swift's autograph!

  • Very cool. :D

  • Brilliant!!!! Thanx

    Jip

  • Als er meer wilt zien, laat het me even weten, dan stuur ik je een downloadlink. :D

  • These outtakes are not in the DVD boxset of the show. I'm curious how did you get them? And where did you get them?

  • just love this show so much,a million thanks

  • This show is so great. Long live british humour.

  • how funny is 6.52 shes amazing

  • Cute, you can see Mrs. Counselor Nugent is completely different from her character by her smile in that scene.

  • 6:09 - 6:43 is the best! Her laugh is hilarious xD

  • bravo Hiacynta ! :-))

  • thumbs up, best

  • Thank you 100 times over for posting, I so adore this show. Love all of the British comedies. They play it on Sat/Sun every week on PBS and now I have watched so often I can recite the lines before they same them....lol

  • Freaking Hilarious....Best of British....

  • They had some real tongue-twisters in this show - especially for Patricia Routledge. I always wondered how she got through them so flawlessly. :)

  • 3:15.

    the bestttt.

  • THANKS, GUYS! I couldn't figure out if she was making a comment to him (about his flub) or what. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • Does anyone know what Hyacinth is saying to Onslo at mark 1:40?

  • i think she said, "DONT START". then she started to laugh!!

  • She is indeed saying "Don't start arguing...". I think they had to laugh because of what Onslow said.

  • No, Hyacinth said, "Now doth start--" before they cracked up at her mistake.

  • good god, judy cornwell is always cracking up. i love how she laughs hysterically.

  • If I was super rich I would personally offer to the pay the stars of this show what ever they wanted if they would just make one more episode, like a reunion show just to see what the characters are doing now. The show never had a real ending, it just ended, it would be great to see them all in character just once more.

  • haha I love this show, i just wish they had made more!! Im 23, and can remember watching this as a young teen- one of my parents was "posh", the other "bristolian" hehehe I ha d avery funny upbringing!!!

  • hahahah they are such good actors x

  • THANK YOU for sharing! I used to watch this show with my grandmother every friday night on Maine PBS. It brings back great memories. :O)

  • my dad acted just like anzlow :]

  • Good to hear! If you want to laugh even more: filefactory. com/file/c6325d/n/Keeping_Up_Appearances_-_Outtakes_zip

Remove the space. I have uploaded several more. :D Enjoy!

  • FANTASTIC!!! :D

  • I haven't seen never children Keeping Up Appearances's sketch. Maybe that's is possible, but i'm not sure for that.

  • Do you mean children in the show itself? I think the postman bribed a child once to deliver a letter. And wasn't there Onslow and Daisy's grandchild once?

  • This is so funny program! If Say Bucket, Hyacinth watched you angry. Then you have to say Buckee!

  • Tietysti! The funny thing is that one knows what is going to happen, but never quite exactly how.

    Terveisiä Tanskasta!

  • where's the 2nd part??

  • I have sent you a download link to the rest. :D

  • hey do you have part 2 of the outtakes?

  • Is that they only way you can see the 2nd part? Can I play too? :-)

  • I'm waiting for their impology, too!

  • Has anyone ever seen the Keeping Up Appearances Children in Need sketch? It's the only bit of the show I've never seen before. If you've seen it can you send me a message and tell me what it's about or better yet could somebody post it so we could all see it?

    Cheers

  • Hilarious program...one of the very few that makes me laugh out loud.

  • It's a small miricle they even made a show!! Love them all!!!

  • I love this show and As TIme Goes BY-I ever tire of watching them on PBS-but after watching these Keeping up Appearnaces I realize they have been censored too!

I wish there were more episodes uploaded *hint*

Thank you for what you have uploaded-it made my day!

  • Oh, thank you very much!

I have many more availlable. Just PM me your emailaddress. They're great. :)

Especially the one where Rose can't pronounce Mr. Bickerstaff properly! I love it. :)

  • Remember the Polish Guy ? No one could proounce his name either!:-D

  • Yes, that was hilarious! What did they eventually call him again?

  • Mister Whatsit?

  • I think they called him "Cuddly Chops."

  • whatever happened to part 2/2?

  • I love Keeping up appernces on a sunday morning before I start my morning shift. :O What happened to the old rose??

  • Since 2000, Shirley Stelfox has been playing the character of Edna Birch in the soap opera Emmerdale.

  • The character Rose is a fictional British version of my aunt, only she's sober and she's not a dopehead!:)

  • I am not sure if the "she" in the sentence refers to the character Rose or your aunt. ;)

  • My aunt's the drunk and the dopehead, but I've seen some episodes where Rose is drunk, too.:)

  • Best Britcom EVER!!!!

  • Best British Comedy EVER!! I cant get enough of it! Its excellent!!

  • All these comments about the cast being great are so right! The show wouldn't be the same without these actors!

  • Its such a shame Mary Millar (Rose) is dead, they could make a comeback series but without her it wouldnt really be the same.

  • what about the other Rose?

  • She is in now in the soap "Emmerdale" on ITV1, 7pm every weekday night.

  • I think Clive laughs a lot inside. If he didn't have humour, he wouldn't be picked for this role, I guess.

  • Does Clive Swift ever laugh? I read about him and he seems like a miserable git - watching this hasn't changed my mind!
