This was a good movie. The only thing that threw me off was how weak T-Rex was. YOU DO NOT F*** WITH TYRANNOSAURUS REX!!!!!!!!!! The fight should've ended in the first 10 seconds, as the bite power of the rex would have snapped the Spino's neck with ease. The Spino was made an evil carnivore in the movie, while in real life he was a piscivore (fish eater). I still love the JP spino dont get me wrong

BOOOO!!! and the movie was like an hour and a half!! that's bull crap!! jurassic park has always been 2 hours or more!!
The problem with JP3 is that there was no script when they began shooting, and the whole movie feels improvised. A bunch of (decent-to good) action scenes tied together by the flimsiest plot, and then, suddenly... it ends. The Lost World has a similar problem in that the whole San Diego thing was a last moment change, and it feels tacked on to the rest of the film.
@yazmin584 Alan was never married to Ellie if you read the book you would know that alan was once married but his wife died a long time ago the book also says ellie was gonna marry someone that kinda proves that jp3 is based off the books
"The Lost World: Jurassic Park" was largely made up of the bits of the book that couldn't feasibly be included in the first film. This disgrace to the name of Jurassic Park was obviously left with the very dregs that had previously been untouched (probably for a reason).
This movie kinda jumped the gun when they made the raptors characters as opposed to animals. In 1 and 2 they were depicted as clever predators but in this one they were built up to be some kinda alien force we had to contend with. Same intelligence level, different language. @Pyr0dino Considering how weak they made the T-Rex is what we're mad about. The female in the first movie was 46 feet long and 20 feet tall and the one in this film is only 37 feet long and 14.5 feet tall. I would've liked to see one as big as the female from the first movie fight the Spino.
I don't really get why everyone HATES this movie, it's nothing compared to the other JP movies but it's still kinda good, if you look at other movies that include dinosaurs they're almost all B-movies. This movie is still pretty well made and enjoyable. But i really hope Steven Spielberg directs the fourth one if they would make one xD

You may actually hear more about it soon. The guy who directed Captain America, Joe Johnson, also directed JP3. He's said in the past that JP4 was a project that he would like to seriously work on when he was finished with Captain America.
Honestly though, I'd rather have Steven Spielberg direct it. JP3 (Joe Johnson) sucked compared to JP and JP:TLW (Spielberg).
@SnovvVilliers JP was the best. TLW wasn't as good IMHO as the other two. JP3 was awesome, except for that one scene where the Spinosaurus kicked the T-Rexes ass, which neither Reality nor Spielberg would let happen.

haha, I rediscovered Jurassic Park last night when we decided to have a movie night and couldn't get to the theatre. It was well worth losing our tickets. These movies used to be on TV when I was little, and I have the VHS of "Lost World" and the DVD of the first movie. Now, I REALLY want to get this one, too! I remember this one the most. Man, I hope they remake Jurassic Park sometime with the newer computers -- Just stick to the storyline, please! :)

Jurassic Park 4 IS being made, and it is the start of an entirely new Jurassic Park trilogy.
they've been working on a script since around 2002, and spielberg has been making them rewrite it over and over again till he got something he liked. it's been confirmed by universal studios that they have finally decided on script at it's in full motion as you're read this.
@jas358 100%. they felt the series was dead after michael died, but spielberg was so impressed with the latest version of the script he basically couldn't not make it. the guy who directed the 3rd film will also be directing this one, while spielberg will be in charge of the project as a whole (producer or whatever title the studio slaps on him). steven said it's suppose to be completely different from the first 3 films, which is why he wants it to be its own trilogy. working title "extinction."

@blonddude207 the only part that really scared me was when the Spinosaurus appeared the first time and slaughtered the first mercenary, but i know only three people died on camera. The second was incredibly violent, and the first was in between. But, the part where Ellie finds Ray Arnold's severed arm was very disturbing

Maybe he isn't the best of the 3, but it's still a Jurassic Park, and so it's one of the world's best movies ! I don't think a fourth will be a great idea, it's a major risk to have a messed movie without Michael Crichton taking a look at the plot, and without Stan Winston directing the special effects ( Hell I'd prefer die than seeing that crappy 3D stuff like Avatar in JP). JP3 wasn't the ending of my dreams for the serie, but it's still a great movie, and i'm ok with it as the last JP.
@BryB0x technically, they never really started a fourth, they tossed some ideas and scripts in the air (one of them I thought was so awesome, but it was just too crazy for them to make it). Joe Johnston said more than once that he hopes to start a JP 4 after Captain America.
Best part of the film is when we see Alan Grant trip out and see a Raptor sitting on the plane next to him that apparently knows how to speak English X'D
In first place, if grant says that raptors were so inteligent, how the heck they would nest in a open place? (in LW they were located in deep grass). And by doing so, tey let no one guarding the damn nest... ;\
@nunistube2 the film obviously didn't talk about what their territories were (as much as I enjoyed it, I felt it could've done a lot better) but possibly the raptors thought no one would mess with them. Maybe the animals had experience not to fuck with the raptors. But yeah, I though about that myself quite a bit. Like I said, the movie coulda explained that somehow.

Other point I could say is that there were too many eggs in the raptors' nests. And there were at leats 3 of them (I don't quite remeber). It is very possible that a small group of raptors (animals) could'nt have so many offspring/ breeds.
just because you don't like a movie doesn't mean it's not part of the series. it is. and so what if it weren't based on a novel like the others it wasn't bad to me i like them all in their own way. and it's not your idea nor the man who directed the movie it was and is michael critchon's idea and he would have made a third novel eventually.
the jurrasic park serries is only part 1 and part 2 to me,, i dont include part 3 becouse it sucked, and the only movie that wasnt based on a jurrasic park novel,, only the first 2 were on the 2 novels,, so it ends with lost world

@AngelaBieber101 yeah this one isn't from steven spielberg the creator of the first two it is from joe johnston and is not that good the 1st was great with lot of suspence and the second also great with a rescue team so more people more victims so is the most violent

I don't care what others think but I love this film. Probably because it was the first Jurassic Park I seen. I think Sam Niel(Alan Grant) is an amazing actor

haha, I rediscovered Jurassic Park last night when we decided to have a movie night and couldn't get to the theatre. It was well worth losing our tickets. These movies used to be on TV when I was little, and I have the VHS of "Lost World" and the DVD of the first movie. Now, I REALLY want to get this one, too! I remember this one the most. Man, I hope they remake Jurassic Park sometime with the newer computers -- Just stick to the storyline, please! :)

This was my favorite out of all of the JP movies when I was little, but as I grew it became.... not so good. Still an okay movie and still my favorite though. :)

I was about 5 or 6 when this came out and me and my friend bought the cheez-it boxes for the trading cards and we bought all the toys too! I loved and still love this movie. It's a good childhood memory and it will die! JP 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that one of the original ideas for Jurassic Park 4 was about a group of soldiers who are dinosaur-human hybrids.
REALLY?????? If it is ever made, DON'T call it Jurassic Park 4. I would repeatedly slam my head into an anchor or something

Jurassic Park 4 IS being made, and it is the start of an entirely new Jurassic Park trilogy.
they've been working on a script since around 2002, and spielberg has been making them rewrite it over and over again till he got something he liked. it's been confirmed by universal studios that they have finally decided on script at it's in full motion as you're read this.

@jas358 100%. they felt the series was dead after michael died, but spielberg was so impressed with the latest version of the script he basically couldn't not make it. the guy who directed the 3rd film will also be directing this one, while spielberg will be in charge of the project as a whole (producer or whatever title the studio slaps on him). steven said it's suppose to be completely different from the first 3 films, which is why he wants it to be its own trilogy. working title "extinction."

@blonddude207 the only part that really scared me was when the Spinosaurus appeared the first time and slaughtered the first mercenary, but i know only three people died on camera. The second was incredibly violent, and the first was in between. But, the part where Ellie finds Ray Arnold's severed arm was very disturbing

I know Jurassic park 3 wasn't the best but it's still an awesome movie cause it's part of one of the all time best trilogys of all time. I still hope they create a 4th Jurassic Park:)

Maybe he isn't the best of the 3, but it's still a Jurassic Park, and so it's one of the world's best movies ! I don't think a fourth will be a great idea, it's a major risk to have a messed movie without Michael Crichton taking a look at the plot, and without Stan Winston directing the special effects ( Hell I'd prefer die than seeing that crappy 3D stuff like Avatar in JP). JP3 wasn't the ending of my dreams for the serie, but it's still a great movie, and i'm ok with it as the last JP.

@BryB0x technically, they never really started a fourth, they tossed some ideas and scripts in the air (one of them I thought was so awesome, but it was just too crazy for them to make it). Joe Johnston said more than once that he hopes to start a JP 4 after Captain America.

This film has so many mistakes.
In first place, if grant says that raptors were so inteligent, how the heck they would nest in a open place? (in LW they were located in deep grass). And by doing so, tey let no one guarding the damn nest... ;\

@nunistube2 the film obviously didn't talk about what their territories were (as much as I enjoyed it, I felt it could've done a lot better) but possibly the raptors thought no one would mess with them. Maybe the animals had experience not to fuck with the raptors. But yeah, I though about that myself quite a bit. Like I said, the movie coulda explained that somehow.

@louielouie11224 The raptors fear the T-rex. But anyway, I don't thnik that the Rex would mess with their nest.
Other point I could say is that there were too many eggs in the raptors' nests. And there were at leats 3 of them (I don't quite remeber). It is very possible that a small group of raptors (animals) could'nt have so many offspring/ breeds.

just because you don't like a movie doesn't mean it's not part of the series. it is. and so what if it weren't based on a novel like the others it wasn't bad to me i like them all in their own way. and it's not your idea nor the man who directed the movie it was and is michael critchon's idea and he would have made a third novel eventually.

the jurrasic park serries is only part 1 and part 2 to me,, i dont include part 3 becouse it sucked, and the only movie that wasnt based on a jurrasic park novel,, only the first 2 were on the 2 novels,, so it ends with lost world
