Nothin wrong with rednecks...........great job kid ....but maybe turn ur break handle over .....so it don't get broke off ......while welding galvanized metal.....don't breath to many fumes........but after ur done drink a large glass of milk...that will help absorbe the toxins from fumes
props kid... i wouldnt put to much weight on that... second if thats galvanized pipe ur welding on it can kinda put u in the hospital. Look up metal fume fever.
Good on these kids for doing something positive, hope they get hours of fun out of it.To all the haters, this is way better than them going out and joining some real tough gang. You know the really tough gangs?they're the ones where it takes ten hardass gangsters to hellstomp one kid whos just walking down the road minding his own business...yea real tough.Hope you guys keep building toys and get better and better, your the ones that end up building the best and fastest cars
For a few kids making something from scratch from things that are lying around, I think they did a great job! I'm sure this the first of many like projects.I bet they have a blast on that thing!
I have that same harbor freight welder. I just got it and it works good. how long have you had yours, I just want to know if mine will last for any long amount of time?
verry impressive! when i was building my own one i copied a LITTLE your design... but a little glitches... can you please tell me how thw steering mechanizem works here..? write me a PM please.
with it being that long and narrow, and your back sprocket being so small it will be way too fast, and if you get that thing sideways it will roll like a pringles can.
Add to that you have a brake on one wheel, its more likely to want to get sideways when youre moving fast and you hit the brake hard. No roll bar? youre asking for pain and very big slow healing puss oozing scabs
@blellblell And it looks like the rear wheels are not pointing straight forward, but aligned to the frame which is making them point inwards - very unstable.
Simple idea! At 2:09 pause it you can plainly see the frame is bowing behind the seat I would add more bracing in the rear. I'm not dissing your ride lol but it better to be safe than sorry!
@ethanspellicy you can put put them around on a non-busy road so yeah i guess its somewhat street leagal, but dont take them on the free way or anything
@ethanspellicy Depends if over 50cc's needs 2 tail lights. atleast 1 headlight and turnsignals. you need a permit to drive alone. you can only drive alone if it is under 100cc's
@cacneaunit6 The steering works similar to the front of your car with tie rods to a shaft. The shaft is connected to a lever style steering handle bar. The brakes are disc with a typical motorcycle style brake lever. I hope this helps. Garen
looks like your rear tires are towed in pretty bad, especially @ 2:03
If you could get them closer to parallel they would scrub less, and you would probably get a little more speed out of it. Looks like a blast though :)
Love it!! I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing hubby a welder for Christmas. This is the kind of project he would spend every waking minute on to complete, lol. Great job!
