I like your show also i agree with alot of what you say,I think the GH team were sincere at first but when they went "HOLLYWOOD" that's when things went downhill and the need to produce paranormal activity weighed heavily on Taps and ya know its a shame really because it makes allot of people really guessing everything they are watching real or not it,s hard to believe anything you see unless you see it for yourself and only believe half of that!

I saw the debunking of the jacket being pulled, plus several other episodes of TAPS. That was debunked. But what really sold me out was when one of TAPS member herself, Donna went on air and said that alot of the things happen on TAPS are hoax created by the producers.

Actually what she said is she never saw any of that happen and IF it was going on the crew knew not to let her in on it as she would not go for it. This is hardly proof of anything. what sold me personally was the horrible acting job and obvious awkwardsness of Jay and Grant during this episode. The jcket collar moment and the loud audible evp moment seemed fake to me and the response by both taps members seemed very wrong and not natural at all. Just my opinion.

I did find Donna's interview somewhat interesting but I found it more diatribal and out of control with a pinch of spite and bitterness. She seems like she has some personal problems maybe even bipolar disorder. It was pretty shocking to hear her interview. The ghost divas got on every nerve i own seeming really eager to rip taps apart verbally. I didn't find them to be good interviewers in the least. Donnas intrv seemed a little desperate on her part.

I am still a fan of the show.  I had always thought most of what you see could be altered without question. I live near and visit Fort DE every year. The episode from before the live one had "what sounds like the cannon being fired". They gave the impression that the cannon fire was something unusual. They fire it nearly everyday for visitors. And yes that is what it sounds like. There are alot of unexplained things that happen there. But GH fudged their experiences. I love the jacket trick!

The defense of the dissembodied voice is a HUGE mistake. That voice had no reverberation(echo) with it, meaning, it was not projected within the physical environment. If you wonder why it sounds so funny, this is part of the reason. Also it is extremely present and obviously digitally recorded and processed. It aslo happens that it sounds like other voices that have been recorded on this show..seriously remember "the boss wants it deeper" evp? HOAX FOOL!! I mean your honor.

Well if it helps you all, I work at the fort. I don't believe in ghosts in the slightest, however the fort does play mind games on an endless basis. You're in a 150 year old fort of pure echo, so I'm not sure what else is to be expected. Ghost hunters is enjoying to watch, however it's been bringing people to the fort for the wrong reason. Ghosts or not, Fort Delaware is still beyond any expectations.

One Contention.. if the "you're not supposed to be here" voice was anything other than pumped in- it would be accompanied by reverberatory sounds..essentially little echoes off whatever the physical environment was comprised of. There was zero reverb or delayed sound and that is why it is so obviously fake. Seriously, even if you don't understand accoustics you can tell it sounds funny for some reason..go check again!

Thats what i was thinking, if it was an intercom or a P.A. System it would have echoed or reverberated through the coridor they were in, since a voice on an EVP is originally less than 20 db (which is the minimum of human hearing) it is unable to reverberate through the halls of Fort Delaware. Anything physical would have done something physical, so it would have to be really good editing to do during live feed, having at least 5 seconds is enough to change it. Any questions? Patrick Doyle gives a good insite how the coat tug can be done but as he says, he wasn't there and didn't inspect the jacket. Just because anyone can rig their coat to simulate what happened that night doesn't prove that what happened on live TV was faked. I just don't buy into the theory that Grant faked this. No one would of ever attempted this on live TV knowing that millions of fans would be taping the show. No way. You could never convince me of that.

You're missing the point. I am arguing for both sides. The statement you have quoted is one I have heard by the attackers of TAPS. In the end you can determine what is real and what is not. A jacket would move, stretch, and slide if it where to be grabed while someone was walking. Lets face it such a grab would have to be strong enough to keep a 160 pound man from moving forward. Thats 160 pounds of force being applied to the jacket. As we all know you can create just about anything. However when viewing evience we also need to examine what it would look like if it where real. How does a jacket repond to a real grab? 2) Disembodied voice. When this occurred on the live show, I immediately thought recorded voice. I even commented to this on the SciFi live show chat that night. I want to agree with you that it could have been the CG; however, on a GH episode a couple of weeks ago (obviously taped before the live show) a similar DV was heard during the investigation. My skepticism alert went off on this one: Someone with the show thinking, hey, this worked pretty well, lets use it for the live show!

I've enjoyed GH from ep1 and I'm a skeptic believer in the paranormal in general. I really enjoy your segments and for the most part, agree with your POV. However, I would like to comment on this one. 1) The "setup": IMO, a live show is just that. It would have seemed more "real" if after commercial, the viewer was reconnected with the ongoing investigation. This in itself does not say "fake." But it did annoy me as I watched the show.

I really love the show Ghost Hunters & have seen every single episode of the show, but I have been wondering if the live Halloween show at Fort Delaware was faked. The evp & collar pull just didn't ring true to me. If it was indeed faked, then I blame the Scifi channel. They paid a bundle to put on that live show & they want more viewers. I think they told Jason & Grant that they were going to throw a few fake incidents into the show & they had to go along with it or else. (CONT.)

This would explain why Jason seemed so angry that night. Many people commented on this & he said it's because he was having an off night. I think he was angry at Scifi for making him do this to his fans. I really don't think that TAPS is fake or into duping the public. I've always thought they were honest, on-the-level people. But Scifi probably threatened them so they had no choice but to play along. Very sad. I'll still continue to watch GH, though.

To my knowledge, the US Coast Guard, much like the Police and other branches of the military are required to identify themselves first when addressing someone. So they would have to have said something like "This is the US Coast Guard and this is a restricted area. You are not supposed to be here." or something to that affect.
