There is no contest between Zildjian and Paiste. Paiste is on a whole different level of awesomeness and Zildjians are all trash until you get up to the A customs and K customs!!!

Why would you choose sheet metal B8 bronze over B20 bronze.... there shouldn't be any ZBT or PST 5... just go with the PST 5's if they're in your price range.

zildjian if u can afford,, today i was in the same situation in the drum shop ,, a 15 years drummer told me go for zildjian ,, better sound ,, more expensive but last long,, i almost regreted it but wen i tried it today i forgot about how much i paid !!

Neither get pst5, you should always spend as much money as you can on cymbals, because if you buy low end and then later buy high end, you have wasted money.

Go with the Paistes.. PST 5 if at all possible. Either way, Paiste has good quality cymbals for cheap. Better than that of the ZBTs

hey pst 3s are ok i have the crash and the hi hats. pst 5s are better for only like 10 - 20 bucks. zbts are lik 50 bucks expensive. zbts and pst 5s are good. u dont have to get one brand, u can mix it up, cuz i have pst3, zbt, and b8!

Depends on your personal Taste. Some cymbal lines designed for rock/metal are Paiste RUDE, Zildjian Z3, Sabian AAX, and Hammeraxe cymbals. Try looking into those, and see which ones sound best to you.

thats were your really getting wrong. meinls are the cheapest cymbals ive ever used. i compared them to the stock cymbals on my frist drum set, and i could paint the meinl logo on the stock cymbals and sell them on ebay.

i think there isn't much between zildjian, paiste and sabian. personally i find they all have good qualities, sabian has better craftsmanship- as shown with hand hammered and hhx series. paiste is great a manipulating b8 bronze and does great value beginner cymbals, and zildjian are extremely popular- possibly due to their history.
