  • Man this is nice tutorial

i wan to ask u how did u convert the cloth to low poly and u added details to the cloth

Please tell me how i need it

  • @omerkako The low poly was done using the graphite toolbar from 3ds max (or polyboost if you have an older version of max) . You can set the program to use a surface as reference(here the cloth), you can then model based on what you've done previously. The detailing is basic 3d modeling, chamfering and extruding edges nothing fancy.

  • @edricew I had 3ds max 2009 and i didnt find the graphite toolbar

so i installed 3ds max 2010 but i dont know how to use it to make low poly

its my first time with graphite toolbar

please tell me how or can u make a tutorial

    Thanks in advance

(Sorry for my bad English )

  • @omerkako if you search youtube for something like "Retopology in 3DS MAX" you'll find tons of tutorials better than I can possibly make.

  • Would it be smart to delete the mesh underneath the clothes if making a game?! A PC can only run so much polys per sec.

  • @Kinos141 on a modern pc it shouldn't be an issue. I can easily manage millions of polys on my rig. For a game model you should definitly delete what will never be seen.

  • awsome vid you got there =)

  • quick advice- turn off smoothing and use rubber preset in cloth property

  • i want like a jacket ha im new to 3d apps sorry

  • Glad someone fount it useful.;)

  • Nice tut, i was looking for something like this.
