@Ututwhynot He started off as a potent rival, schooling Manjoume effortlessly and only losing very, very narrowly to Judai. After his Duel with Tania and evidently being raped by an Amazon offscreen, it was pretty much all the way downhill from then on out.

It's happened to plenty of people in all series, like Mai, Kaiba in the manga, and so on, but he was probably the biggest - until Aki flipped from "Crazed Sadist" to "Audience Member #3".
