  • I just be a boss and use my dick to stop by flopping it out like an anchor..

  • breaking with one finger would mean for my XT-disc-break that they wont stop me as fine as i want them to do... if u r only touring this guide is ok but when the hill is long and fast u need to lean back and use two fingers... and the one he uses is for (the rapidfire of) the gearchanger... in fact his type of breaking-lever never had success and rapidfire still rules... so his video must be renewed with the rapidfire lever... and then he will only break with his "middlefinger" ... ... ...

  • you cant use 1 finger if you're using brake pads...

hmmm maybe I should switch to discs

  • Guys stop arguing...

This guy is 100% correct, if you are using hydraulic discs, you only want 1 finger. Lever length is irrelevant, you should adjust it along your bars if its 'too long'.

  • Two fingers are fine, as is one, stop making up RULES for things that are personal preferences!

  • @ZMC888 it gets rather difficult, when you keep two fingers on the brakes, while speeding through bumpy terrain.. hydro- brakes only require one finger anyways but as you said, it's a matter of preference

  • Derrrrr! Try it with a moto.

  • Thanks for the top Doug. Not!

  • I run XTR V's on mine and have always run my levers in...they work fine with one finger...Cantilever??? Come on...

  • not bad but too fricken short!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This video is pathetic. And besides, how many fingers you use to brake (2, 3, etc.) entirely depend on the shape and length of your brake lever, not the type of brake you actually have (rim/disc).

  • jpmadore1:i agree with you up to a point..what you say about depending on the lenght and of brake lever, but it mainly depends on the strenght you are gonna need to brake,if you have a normal disc brake the strenght you need will be more than with and hidraulic disc,i used to have a shimano acera(normal disc) and i needed to use two or somethimes 3 fingers and for jumping tht made it really difficult, but now i have hidraulic disc's and i only use 1 finger wich made's my jumping and dh more easier
