  • I use to have Alot of breast milk, and my doctor gave me pills to help increase aswell..

than one day I decided to drink alcohol.. I was told I didn't have to pump and dump, just way several hours after I drank. So I did, but ever since than it feels like i dont have any milk what so ever. /: but I do just a bit, I really need help. I wanna breast feed again.

  • My daughter is 4.5 months and will go 4 hours in between feedings during the day from a bottle. When I'm home I strictly nurse her and it's every 2 hours on the dot. What makes the difference?

  • @thecutestcarter I think it's because your baby would rather cuddle with you and nurse than have a bottle. Take it as a compliment that your baby loves you sooooo much. Porter is the same way. He would nurse every hour if I let him :)

  • Finally! Someone else who didn't see any effects from fenugreek. I took it for a few weeks and saw no increase. Love the video! Thanks for it.

  • @deathcabforjenny You are so welcome. And yeah it doesn't work for everyone :(

  • I think stress can seriuosly sabotage bf success. I wonder if it's why it didn't work for us? Did I put so much pressure on myself to bf that it didn't work? Also, I think you need to surround yourself with supportive poeple, who encourage you, but don't put pressure on you. I will do a lot of things differently next time, like getting an electric pump instead of a handheld one and feeding as often as you suggested. Thanks:)

  • @xoxazurixox I totally agree... you need support... my family does not support me (thank god my youtube friends do). And yeah I think an electric pump, even though expensive, was a savior for helping with breastfeeding... Either way, know that you tried and did a great thing for your baby !

  • how old was porter when you started giving him a bottle, does he take the breast still?

  • @ljewkes Porter actually had his first bottle on his 3rd day of life. We did one bottle a day because we wanted to make sure he would be used to it since he had to go to daycare. As long as breastfeeding is going well you should add a bottle every once in a while so you have options... that's my opinion on the subject.

  • What is your view on gay marriage? You don't have to talk about it, but I was just wondering. I am from CA, and as you may know there is a big controversy with that here and in many other parts of the country. You may not have an opinion, but I was just curious. :)

  • @MsGingerbells I am pro gay marriage. I feel that it's not the government's business who sleeps with whom. I feel that by denying two people who obviously love each other, the same rights that straight couples have, that we are discriminating.

  • Just wondering were u got the soft cups for ur pump.

  • @jengilbert3369 YOu can get them on Amazon and also from Nicki's diapers.

  • Great video. Fenugreek never worked for me eaither. Neither did mother milk tea. But everyone is different.

  • @nickiweb21 Yeah it really works for lots of people... but yeah not for me either.

  • This has really been helpful thank you =)

I have had so many illnesse's since I had my son and now I know that this is probley the reason why I have had hardly any milk. I have a question about latch. My son was great on the breast for 3 day's in the hospitail but when I came hom I had to supplmeant with formula now I know it was cause I was very ill. But my son dosen't seem to want to take the breast anymore =( Would you have any suggestion's on how I could get him to want to feed again? Thanx

  • @billnme You are very welcome ! Hmm... I am not sure with suggestions on that one except for to keep trying. Are you producing enough milk? I know when I have a low supply Porter tends to push away from the breast more.

  • @billnme. I think maybe my supplie is low yes =(

I have been so ill and that is why I think. Thank you and great video's =)

  • i've heard that fenugreek works better if you take it along with blessed thistle. also, the same breastfeeding dr told me that for moms with PCOS, reglan works better when taken with metformin.

  • @fakecrab That is true... I was taking mine with blessed thistle and still no luck :( I haven't tried any of the perscription medications though. I don't think I will probably end up going that route

  • I have come to the conclusion that I think your videos are amazing! :) Glad your on youtube! I can only imagine how many people you are helping!

  • @TeamJamexican Awww thank you so much !!

  • Just a quick question about BF. How does porter let you know that he's finished with one breast? Does he just pull off or slow down? Great video :)

  • @DixiePip1 He kinda slows down and I notice that he is not swallowing as much... he does pull off sometimes too !
