This game made me sick, The jets were the better team that day and Doug Brien had to blow it for the whole team and fanbase...2004 Jets were a good team.
This game was so intense I couldn't watch parts of it. After the Bettis fumble I turned off the tv for a little while. Then my dad called and told me that Hines had tied the game. I turned it back on in time for the final seconds and was so nervous when the jets fg kicker was lining up for a 30 yarder with 4 seconds left. When he missed it I couldn't believe it. Talk about a heart stopper.
It's hard to believe that the Jets could have been in the AFC championship that year. Patriots would have killed them but still you never know.

Neither the Jets or the Steelers was going to beat the Patriots that season. That was the last of their Dynasty teams.

Man, talk about lucking out to win a game. That Jets field goal hit right off the crossbar.

As a Jets fan, it was top three most painful loss. Vs.Denver 98, and Vs. Miami 81 being the others. "oh the pain"

@rumberoprimero: How bout a Top 5 (you pick the order)
1. Pittsburgh 2004
2. Pittsburgh 2010
3. Cleveland 1986
4. Denver 1998
5. Miami 1982
Honorable mention: Indy 2009, although we weren't expected to win, but hope looked so good in the 1st half.
2001, 2002 Oakland & 2006 in NE were expected, no pain there. Respectively, they flexed their muscles.
